The majority of the staff are spoiled (pardon the cliche) Johnson County girls that are working part-time while in school. My experience there was very unpleasant. I sat in the waiting area for quite awhile before one of the girls approached me; it was nearly 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. The girl that took our photos was a very young, very sullen girl that hurried us through our session and didn't bother asking us what we even wanted to do for our portraits. Having been a photographer myself, I know the importance of working with your clients and understanding exactly what they want from their photos. This girl was very wooden, she would barely look us in the eye and just snapped our photos and moved on to another boring pose before announcing that she was through and walking out of the room. After about an hour, we went back to view our photos. Another associate sat with us to view our photos, and it was basically the same experience. Bored girl, vacant eyes and no interest at all in making the sale. She would answer our questions but made no attempt at helping us come to a decision. My sister and I discussed our photos and the pricing and made our choices with little to no assistance. The photos were very good, but not exactly what we were hoping for. I think we would have spent a lot more money if we hadn't felt that we were inconveniencing everyone involved. Also, the pricing is really quite ridiculous--their portrait packages range from $200-1000, which isn't too bad compared to their competitors...but if you're wanting just a photo or two, be prepared to take a chunk out of your bank account.
