Superb Attorney! I…read morehired Mark Wortman to represent me on a custody case for my daughter a little of a year ago. After pleading my concerns and wanting partial custody Mr. Wortman was nothing short of exceptional. Mark Wortman enlighten me of my rights as a father, gave excellent advice, and went to battle for me. Over the course of the case which was around 9 months, Mark was in constant communication going over ideas and strategies to help us in my custody case. In the end... Mark Wortman won my case and the judge awarded me partial custody. My favorite part is if I decide to move back to Kansas we can revisit the order and adjust it to 50/50 split after a year of the initial order. Mark also arranged a great parenting plan for me to spend time with my daughter since I don't currently live in the same state. Seriously Mark Wortman is the best attorney I have ever had hands down! Mark is understanding, smart, honest, offers a great price point, and will fight for you to the end! Mark Wortman thanks for helping get my daughter back in my life. God bless you and your family.

He made rude remarks such as didn't you receive these through email and it's after hours and I'm tired, I thought you were just here to sign. I informed him I just wanted to scan over the documents to make sure nothing changed before I signed and with him being a lawyer, he should understand but things went down here from there and I left the appointment upset without signing, only 9 minutes after arrival.

We made an appt on-line for 11am on 4/15. They had appts available. My wife and I both left work and met there. We checked in, the receptionist was very nice. She got up and spoke to a female (she doesn't deserve another title). This female sat behind and to the left of the front check in desk. I tried to get a name but she doesn't display one and it's obvious why she doesn't. She told the receptionist that she called the number on the reservation that morning and said they couldn't honor our appt. She then began to go on with another co-worker as they discussed why would anyone wait until the final day to file. You're company handles taxes!!!! Are you kidding me? You have appts listed as available for the final day, call the people an hour before the appt to say you're not honoring it on a voice message? We're both corporate employees and when we leave work, work isn't getting done but that's obviously not a problem with your company because if there's work, just don't honor it and you've got an easy Monday. In the US this year, there were a record number of people that filed for tax extensions, we didn't. We scheduled an available appt to pay your company $250 to file our taxes before the deadline. That's $250 you won't ever get from us and anyone else that asks me for a referral.

This year they told us again to drop them off and then four days before they had to be filed told us that they would not do our taxes this year. We asked why not and they said they don't have to give us a reason. Then my husband asked him what is he supposed to do since they are due in four days and the man told my husband "well you better hurry up and come pick them up then". It is unbelievable how unprofessional this was handled. If they didn't have time to do our taxes I don't know why he had us drop them off anyway. And giving us no reason of why he wouldn't do our taxes is completely ridiculous. I don't know why we stayed with them as long as we did but my husband is self-employed so we just felt like keeping the same person in the loop with our business was the right thing to do. I will never recommend this company and definitely will voice my opinion about the way this was handled. I'm honestly shocked he does not have a wait list for his services!! He is a POWERHOUSE OF LEGAL EXPERIENCE - and I called around a lot at in the beginning - other lawyers even suggested him when they were not the right fit !!! His experience as a prosecutor, judge and Amazing defense all come together so you know when he is representing you that you can trust his knowledge of the law, he is a straight shooter, tells you exactly what you're situation is and then gives you every option he can and shows a lot of compassion, understanding and willingness to go the extra mile(s)!! I was a wreck and knowing Clayton would do everything possible was priceless because there is no one better in my opinion! If he says he will call with updates he does, he responds promptly and is always available for any questions that come up. Even better his fee is a flat upfront charge !! - which is unbelievable given how much time he puts into his clients cases. A pay by the hour ( I have had in a different legal area ) would have been unmanageable for me in this case because of the time it required. I said to Clayton at the end I feel like I should have paid him more he simply responded "no this is my job, call me if you need anything" #NotAnAverageDefense!! If you need a lawyer, don't waste your time and stress, he really is the best and his staff are one of a kind. Give him a call and let him get to work !
