Pea foot and ankle specialist for her complete lack of professionalism and then being too worried about her own potential liability to do what is right after attempts were made asking her to take back an error in her paperwork in order to keep from having monetary damages to myself since her error incorrectly stated that I was fit and able to work when that was not the case due to my condition doing nothing but get worse while under her care. she refused to respond to phone calls in regards to this issue and refuse a face to face meeting in order to continue getting paid during an injury occurred at work. Mot only did she directly cause and lead to my injury and overall condition getting worse and length of recovery being extended greatly she also added insult to injury by refusing to own up to her mistake, refused to ever make not of mu condition getting worse due to her advice, and then refused to be accountable and simply fix the situation when given a chance. I sure hope the actions of this doctor does not reflect on the stanwood Skagit regional clinic as a whole but I can only express how my experience was with this doctor.

Every billing matter resolved with efficiency, courtesy and followup. Additionally, messages via the portal have all been answered 100%. All medications have been fulfilled 100% be it local or mail order request. In 2024 I am hard pressed to find such consistency. A shout out to Zack Hanson the PA for optimum care. Pleasant and knowledgeable.

I was completely ignored, i was told i have allergies/a cold and persecribed me with something i told them doesnt work. I told the Doctor (Marcia Soul, MD) that ive been struggling with this for years and she put in my chart that ive only had these symptoms for a week. i work in healthcare and this doctor makes me understand why my patients get so pissed off for not being heard by the MD's.

I went to the Stanwood Optum Walk-in Clinic on a Saturday because I had woken up with green, goopy…read moreeyes and had been struggling with a dry cough for 5 days. I also had soreness on the left side of my tongue - not a sore throat. I arrived at exactly 8 am, which is when their web site says they open, there were already eight patients ahead of me. NOTE: MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT THIS FACILITY. The receptionist was very nice and seemed competent. She was definitely the highlight of the visit. I waited just a few minutes and then a nurse(?), she did not introduce herself, took me to a room and took my blood pressure and pulse. She did not share with me what my blood pressure reading was. She did not take my temperature. She asked if I had tested for COVID. When I replied "no" her entire demeanor changed. She asked if I was interested in testing for COVID and I said "no". I did not REFUSE a COVID test, I just didn't think it was warranted for my symptoms. I figured the doctor would tell me if they thought I should be tested for COVID. I was then returned to the waiting room. I waited approximately 1.5 hours - which was not bad considering they were telling people 3.5-4 hours by the time I was called back. The doctor came in and I started to explain to him about the pain that I was having on the left side of my tongue. He mentioned that I did not want a COVID test - the assumption that every person who walks through their doors has COVID is ludicrous! They are so focused on COVID, hence their mask mandate, that they don't even listen to what is going on with you. I am not a doctor, why don't you do your JOB and explain to me why I might need a COVID test? He said there is a "bug" going around that hits the throat, nose and eyes. He briefly looked in my mouth, NOT at my tongue, and commented that my tonsils "were slightly red" - again, I did not have a sore throat. He prescribed drops for my eyes as "Plan B - optional" and suggested zinc lozenges, Mucinex, rest and fluids. He pretty much wished me luck and was out the door. On Tuesday morning, I woke up with the left side of my face PARALYZED! I went to the Providence emergency room (NOTE: NO MASK REQUIRED) and was immediately put on stroke protocol. I was in a CT scanner within 15 minutes of arrival. THANKFULLY, it was not a stroke. It is Bell's Palsy. A viral infection that affects the facial nerve. I am now on steroids, anti-viral medications and eye drops/ointment because I have lost the ability to blink my left eye. With luck, this will resolve itself within 2 weeks but can take up to 6 months. I cannot help but wonder, IF they had been less focused on COVID and actually listened to me, would he have caught this sooner and saved me from the scare of my life and potentially lessened the impact and shortened the recovery for this? To say I am dissatisfied is an understatement. If I could, I would refuse payment, but our wonderful medical/insurance system doesn't allow us to hold doctors accountable for their services. They get paid whether they do their jobs or not!
