I visited this clinic in October twice since the young doc could not do I/D at first visit, I had to come back again. Tri care supposed to cover 100% for these visits as my coverage. I got billed couple hundreds dollars for one of the visits. I called Tri-care, and was told that skagit used wrong code, so they need to use correct one to submit the bill again. When I asked the lady from Tricare , she could not tell me the code, Skagit needs to call Tri-care if they have a question. I called Skagit 360-814-7575, the young lady who talked to me at 1134 am on Dec 15, 2025 told me that they did not use wrong code and I need to check my insurance for coverage, if it's wrong code, "I" need to call Tri-care and get the correct billing code to tell her because it's MY responsibility to correct the billing. I am a patient, I am not working for billing at Skagit nor Tri-care. When I asked her to call Tricare to figure out what was wrong, She said, "Skagit will not call insurance company, we already communicated with insurance company. You are responsible for this billing. " She told me to have Tricare contact Skagit or get the billing code by myself. I explained to her the staffs from Tricare cannot make outgoing call directly, but she kept saying no. I am sure they do billing hundreds everyday. Human make mistakes , but how she knows she is not wrong 100% for sure? I was refused to request for the review the bill , not willing to call insurance company. Tri-care staffs I called cannot make outgoing calls. If Skagit cannot help to solve this problem. Who would help? Basically, if they use wrong billing code, patients need to shut up and pay the whole bill?????

I started coming to the Stanwood location about 6 years ago when my health was extremely bad. I was on a heavy dose of insulin daily and without medical. They provided me with medication and top of the line care. They got down to all of the issues I was going through and treated me so kind. Once my health was well and I was no longer in need of their care because I received medical, I then started volunteering at the Smokey Point location. Everyone that I interacted with as a volunteer and as a patient has been so kind and the most amazing people I've ever met. Now I find myself without medical again and was recently seen and again treated with the utmost care, and even provided with a goodie bag with all of these really helpful sweet goodies for my way home. The staff are amazing, the office is clean and organized, and these people donate not only their time but their skills and heart to everyone that walks through the door. I appreciate everyone at both locations for all of the hard work and care you put into everyone THANKYOU

I got sick in Canada and with my health insurance (which is a good plan in the US) I was shocked at the amount of out of pocket expense for a routine visit. I was able to make an appointment the night before here and we were able to be in and out within 40 minutes. The front desk staff was so accommodating since I waited in my car and Gabe the physician assistant who saw me was fantastic (I wish he practiced closer to where I live.... he would make a great regular provider). Getting sick isn't pleasant but the clean, modern atmosphere of Indigo and pleasant staff make it a bit better...

Eiisley fell on her arm and can't move it, Everett clinic and Skagit walk where we normally go were already closed, 7:15pm I see Indigo is still open. First time ever going there and was thankful a walk-in was still open so Eiisley didn't have to sit in ER for hours in pain. We walked in...no one in waiting room, one car outside great! I filled the receptionist in on what happened where she cut me off and said you'll need to take her to the ER we just took in another emergency, I verified they were open till 8 (because I didn't think you could turn away patients until closing time) and let her know we're ok with waiting and understanding they're taking care of another patient just really didn't want to go to the emergency room if we didn't have to- at that point she became overly aggressive, cut me off again and screamed at me "I'm not dealing with a attitude tonight, get out now" I was shocked, all I could do was turn around to leave and thought no this isn't right so I said wait what's your name? Now this is where it gets really weird... she yelled out "your worst nightmare!!" I was so caught off guard, most bizarre thing I've ever experienced at a healthcare facility. I walked over to her to see her badge and she pulled it from her chest and said MICHELLE NOW LEAVE, GET OUT and we left... I'd really love this company to pull up the video footage, see the interaction and get a response because wow, it was almost unbelievable.

I've had one Emergency Department visit, and felt that the attention and care were appropriate. For my chronic conditions, I think they're deficient and inadequate, and their approach is limited; I would not call the approach offered to me "health care" but rather "symptom management." (Some writers call this "a pill for an ill.") Health doesn't come from a statin or ACE inhibitors or beta blockers or steroids; it comes from many lifestyle steps we can take to fundamentally improve the overall condition of our bodies and our real health. None of this has ever been offered to me at this place. I've also talked to a number of women being managed for osteoporosis. The standard knee-jerk approach of vitamin D, calcium, weight-bearing exercise and bisphosphonate medication is woefully incomplete and leaves out many actions, dietary steps and supplements that are essential for bone health. Whatever your condition is, look it up under the "Integrative Medicine" or "Functional Medicine" or "Naturopathic Medicine" approaches and see how much more you can do to really support your health. For me, at least, speaking just about my own experience here, I call their long-term approaches to my conditions "Dys-Functional Medicine"

While Liz…read morethe PA there is great, if you're shopping for your own medical care be ready to feel like you're buying a used car. I recently worked with Liz and she was fabulous, but my experience trying to become a member was no different than buying a used car. I was due in September for a quick blood work phone call to check how my medications were working. I was paying out of pocket, and my appointment for this 15-20 minute call in May was $50. I spoke with Alyssa and she explained if I became a member in September, the appointment would be included. A membership is $65. I hung up, prepared to pay and sign up in September like we discussed. They sent me paperwork to sign up for August, not what we had discussed. I let them know I wanted to start in September because I wouldn't be using their services, and that's when the cold unfriendly emails began. Like wtf. First, they said that since my last appointment was in May, no I couldn't sign up until I had another full patient appointment. (News to me) Then, they told me that their prices just went up so no, it isn't just $50 to go over blood work. The tone of the email was unfriendly and borderline rude and it was clear they wanted me to sign up and pay $65 for a month I wasn't even using their services and I'm not okay with that. It sounded like they were making things up to make it very inconvenient for me to wait. This is not a place I would recommend doing business with. I'm seriously disappointed because I liked Liz there, but the way this was handled was not okay. Be prepared to be haggled over memberships if you bring it up. Just no.

Dear Brian, After 32…read moreyears as a business executive and 20 years as a master executive coach, I've worked with hundreds of teams--some good, some struggling, and a rare few that shine so brightly they become the gold standard. I didn't expect to find one of those rare teams while wearing a hospital gown. During my almost four-week stay at Skagit Valley Hospital--especially in these very trying times--I experienced what can only be described as a Master Class in both personal and clinical patient care. Every single day, from the first to the last, I felt the presence of something you can't fake: a culture of trust, respect, and excellence. From housekeeping to dietary services, from CNAs and nurses to doctors and specialists, every member of your team not only performed their role with skill, but infused it with genuine kindness, attentiveness, and heart. What I experienced was seamless, coordinated care--delivered with humanity. Too many people to list each staff member I encountered, A special shout out to Dr. Wood, Dr, Goodman, and Dr. Sharma. In my work, I often use Patrick Lencioni's The Five Dysfunctions of a Team as a roadmap for building high-performing organizations: Trust - the bedrock of any great team Healthy Conflict - honest, constructive dialogue Commitment - unity around shared decisions and goals Accountability - holding each other to the highest standards Results - collective success above all else Most organizations can manage the first one or two. Rarely do I see all five fully alive. Yet here, in every department, every shift, I watched them in action--consistently. This was more than healthcare. It was the embodiment of what's possible when people are aligned in purpose, values, and mission. I would love your permission to do something special to honor the people who made this possible. Additionally, I would like to create a feature story about this experience to share the extraordinary culture and teamwork I witnessed--inside and outside the hospital walls. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this and explore ways to make it meaningful for your team. Thank you, Brian, for leading a hospital culture that not only heals bodies but lifts spirits and restores faith in what a truly great team can achieve. With deep gratitude, Eileen M. I was having a hard time communicating due to this and was treated as if I was doing it intentionally to be a difficult patient. Any expression of my dissatisfaction was met with being ignored for hours on end while I was having difficulty breathing and my oxygen dropped to dangerous levels. My pain and fever were never adequately managed. This is a great place to go if you enjoy feeling powerless and receiving care that is substandard at best and deliberately malicious at worst. I wish Raquel nothing but the worst, you evil wretch.
