Probably the best Tropical Smoothie I've been to so far. The layout is spacious, inside is clean, the location has tons of surrounding parking, and the staff is kind. It isn't the same building that they have posted on Yelp, so I'll post what it looks like (no drive-thru). I really like how the inside is set up, so there's a bunch of interior pics below too. Their smoothies actually tasted like fruit smoothies and weren't watered down, too sour, or overpowered by banana. Lol. My husband ordered a Chipotle Chicken Flatbread and he mentioned it was the neatest packaged flatbread he's had and perfectly made too. We personally like our flatbreads sauced up or with the right amount of sauce because that's where the flavor is and they did a good job. Their featured Mango Monsoon smoothie is good.. I mean I finished the whole thing before my husband finished his and that rarely happens. This is my favorite location!! Pomegranate plunge is my go to! I could drink it every single day! Literally love it here. Tiffanie, Franklin, and MJ make the best smoothies you'll ever have in your life, I kid you not! I wish they could make my smoothies every single time. Tropical Smoothie Cafe is pretty garbage now. The prices are super inflated (~$7 for a smoothie and $8 for a food item), and it is just not worth it anymore. I used a free smoothie with your food entree coupon, and I was flabbergasted by the price of the flatbread. I ordered a chipotle chicken flatbread and a chia banana boost smoothie for around $8 including the coupon. The flatbread was actually quite good although it looked like I was getting ripped off. It is incredibly easy to make, and you can make one at home for so much less than what they charge you. Tastewise, this was delicious. The smoothie I got was mid, but it was what I was in the mood for. I feel as though Tropical Smoothie has fell off because we often get smoothies that taste diluted now. The flavor wasn't really there, and it wasn't like how I remember it used to be. Overall, pretty bad. I would never recommend this place because you're just giving away your money. Although eating out is always going to be more expensive than DIY, for this restaurant, the price is so bad that you should just go to the grocery store, buy the ingredients, and make it yourself. read more

My first time ordering and eating Tropical Smoothie. Just finished my chicken bacon ranch flatbread sandwich... Yummy. This may be my new go-to for lunch. Filling and feels healthy. Everything about it was wonderful. I'm now drinking the mocha madness smoothie. Divine is all I can say. If you love chocolate this is for you. I've been cutting back on junk food and decided to treat myself to a "healthy" smoothie. I wasn't sure how it would taste but omg... is all I can say. I added a fat burner to make myself feel better. I had the Caribbean Jerk Bowl today. It was a little spicy for my taste. It wasn't bad but it being too spicy threw me off. I've had jerk chicken before but not this spicy. This is one of the worst locations. I live closer to this location but rarely come here. I've experienced super long waits (with almost no one in the restaurant), and some rude staff in previous encounters. Today, I got my smoothie and saw that I forgot to add spinach and kale to it. They refused to take the smoothie back because "once it's handed out, they can't take it back." I get that, because of Covid. But the manager literally would not try to make it work. I asked for them to blend the spinach and kale up and put it in a small cup, but they didn't want to do that. The cashier tried to make it work too, but the back of the house wouldn't try. I was the only person there. You can't try to work it? I wasn't asking for it for free, I just wanted to get my greens in today. That's literally the reason for this trip. I rarely come to this location, and I don't think that'll change. This was just what I needed to write the review and write them off. I'll stick to my regular location. Super frustrated. read more

Normally Trop Smoothie dies a good job, but sometimes they miss the mark completely. A Chipotle Chicken was ordered from this location around 9:20am. DoorDash delivered it and the photo shows what was found. It apparently was a joke, or simply an incompetent worker was not trained or managed. Under new management! . The old management was great! This new management looks like another winner! This place has its Distancing in place. (don't know why I capitalized the "d" in distancing . ) the food is fresh and soooooooo good. The smoothies are some of the BEST in town. I eat here regularly. Love that it went back to an island theme. The new decor is nice as well. The staff is wonderful. When hanging out becomes the "new norm" again. I will be in the building . Very clean environment and parking is a little tight, but manageable. read more

My family and I go through a lot of smoothies. Which means we have also visited different Tropical smoothie Cafe's and by FAR the best smoothies come from Yorktown! Their smoothies are consistent in flavor which matters when you develop a taste for specific smoothie flavors. However the most important factor for the five stars is the customer service. This store has the friendliest staff compared to other tropical smoothie cafes. I've had my orders taken at different tropical smoothie cafes by staff that almost seem to be upset that they have to be there and take it out on you. At Yorktown TSC I have never been aggressively asked what I wanted or hurried for not knowing what to get. Thank you. read more

I discovered this spot last time I came to explore the Yorktown area and make it a habit of eating here quite often. The food is made fresh with well sourced ingredients. I'm originally from the Los Angeles area and was shocked when I ate the breakfast burrito and didn't suffer the aftermath of feeling bulky. Food is good like most tropical smoothies but customer service is awful! After ordering my food I started to pay with cash and realized that I have a toll to go through. I quickly tried to tell the cashier my situation but she had already hit the cash button. She tells me she has to ask what to do. When she turns back around she tells me she can't do anything about it that I can only pay with cash. Two things bother me by this, 1 I've worked in restaurants for 8 years. I know you can void the entire ticket and start over. 2 I heard the lady behind the wall tell her it could be done its just difficult. Thank you for making my already bad day worse. Love this place!! I always get the turkey apple sandwich!! My kids love it. The smoothies are awesome!! The chocolate banana one is their favorite. I like the berry acai smoothie. The owner actually works there and shows no signs of being a boss.
