Just came here and heard the oddest thing. They said they accept pennys! How is that possible? Is it not money? My smoothie is great but if the total is $8.26 and I can't give you 26 cent are you giving me back my four cents? read more

Coming here is like pulling teeth. The young lady on the cashier can't count cash back so she calls for a "manager" that looks like she doesn't want to be there and has a nasty attitude. Both are slow as they "fix" the cash register to correct the cash?! If the total was $16.73, and I give you $20.75, don't tell me you don't need the change. COUNT MY CHANGE BACK! I told them it wasn't my problem they couldn't count. I told them I get back $4.02. DO BETTER! USE YOUR CALCULATOR on your PHONE! Being DUMB AND NASTY ACTING doesn't help you at all. I was the one that had the Jetty Punch and Bahama Mama that you made pull forward to wait on my drinks. TIP: GO BACK TO SCHOOL ABD KEARN THE BASICS OF MATH! I will be calling your Corp to complain about this ghetto acting store. read more

Tropical Smoothie Cafe - I bought 2 drinks - Sandwiches Near Me - Southfield, Michigan

Horrible location, service is slow, quesadilla was half full even though i paid for extra chicken, every smoothie i've ever gotten is extremely watered down & has no flavor. Dont waste your time or money at this location read more

Only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 was because of the young lady working the register. Great personality. I ordered the Mango Monsoon and a chicken roll. The first chicken roll was ice cold. Went back to have them remake it. The manager made it and burned it. My smoothie is tasteless like it's missing ingredients. Young lady who made it called my name I go to get it. She sits it in between two men at the countertop. Place is nice to sit in if you wanted to get a few things done while you sip a smoothie. I'll rather not go back to this location. read more

This was my first time ordering at this location. I ordered in store and everyone was very nice. There was a little mix up with one topping I paid extra for and wasn't included so, it was added on the side. Overall, good experience. read more

First time here, got the strawberry banana with dark chocolate. So yummy and service was quick!

This location is close to my office and I've only had good experiences. I got their smoothie/wrap combo deal today & it came with chips for about 13$, not bad! I ordered online for take out and my food was ready on the cart 5 minutes later when I arrived. I always get the bahama mama (no sugar added) and it is consistently good. I tried the strawberry chicken balsamic wrap today and it was good but a little heavy on the dressing. It had avocado and mozzarella on it too. read more

Food and service today was a 10! Turkey sandwich and kale salad were on point! Last time I was here they forgot to add my side. Today made up for it! read more

I LOVE TSC! The Avocolada is my jamm! Whenever I need a boost to fortify my vitamin regimen, I add a probiotic or a vitamin C booster. My regular routine is to also order a banana. It's like a feel-good ritual for me. This location is my go-to. I've never been inside, I use the drive-thru. The service is efficient and the ladies who work here are friendly. I love that TSC uses fresh ingredients. The food and smoothie choices are healthful and flavorful. TSC is the best kind of fast food. I was just there yesterday and I'm thinking of stopping by again today! read more

great customer service skills. the Food is always fresh, the employees are amazing And so is the General manager

Damn good. Healthiest smoothy joint that no sugar added is easy and great tasting! Try the corn for a side.

Ordered online and went to pickup inside. 2 people inside and would not unlock door and would even walk to the door. Went thru drive thru and had to grab my smoothie. Smoothie was really watery. They said they open lobby 1 hour after they open...why is there no sign??? read more

Ordered a smoothie and a sandwich waited over half hr. And so did everyone else because I was in the drive threw.

These ladies work together like a well oiled machine. They are so busy that they don't even speak to each other . Everyone works smoothly in silence and they are so nice to you. They prepare the online order so quickly and this particular location always has the best smoothies. I think they have a magician making the smoothies and another making the food because it is beyond delicious. Best location, by far, gold star quality. read more

Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Mocha madness, has caffeine. cut the turbinado to save yourself 250 calories. Still delicious! - Sandwiches Near Me - Southfield, Michigan

Many of the people do not seem excited to be working here. Orders take long and are frequently made wrong. When asked to be remade, the employees kind of talk to themselves and begrudgingly remake it. Last time the replacement tasted like cleaning solution. The place is too busy to make decent product. I am done paying $8 for poor product and poor service. read more

If I could give half a star I would. Ordered online, then waited 20 mins for order to be "ready". As soon as I notified them I was their as per direction via the app, they then decide to take their time making it. It took a total of 40 mins for 2 smoothies and a quesadilla. That's not quality service. read more

Once again, I cannot complain about my food. The tropical chicken salad sandwich was wonderful. Service is a little iffy (had to repeat my order 3x while standing at the counter, there is a lot of friendly banter that goes on between staff which some might find unprofessional) but everyone is really nice, food is made fresh, and I get good food in the end. read more

I'm 26 an in all my years have I never made a review cause I've never cared to give a bad review but this spot sucks when it comes to customer service and attention spans and I've been to 8 locations and had to get a remake 3 times, they literally took 3 walk ins and finished their smoothies before mine and it's 10 of them working and still take 15 mins to make one smoothie This was Sept. 27th 2020 Estimated time around 2-4pm read more

Greeted wit an what can I get you in the driveway. I guess they don't require anything more. Fine I guess. Smoothie was full of ice. I should've checked before I brought it home. Par for the course I guess. I give up. Will make my own at home atp read more

We decided to try TSC out for our photo shoot meal. Our producer went to grab it and was gone for almost an hour (it's literally the block over). He came back and said it was a shit show in the store. They gave all of our vegetarians meat, forgot everyone's sides, put tomatoes on a sandwich for someone who is allergic...the list could go on. He took it all back, and they picked through every sandwich and salad to make sure we weren't lying, then told us they couldn't refund for the ones that were partially eating. Never. Ever. Ever. Again. read more

Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Ordered from Ideal Bite instead. Highly recommend!! - Sandwiches Near Me - Southfield, Michigan

Totally a fan, BUT they need to get a system down for smoothie making. I have been in here 3 times and waited anywhere between 3-10 minutes for a smoothie, note that there were a few other people in here each time. The girls at the location by my house have it down (SCS); they each have a job in the line and you're in and out in a few minutes. I am super happy this location opened up right across from my work. And we love the coupons they passed out to us! read more

Went in tonight 15 minutes before closing. Total chaos. Poor service. Two smoothies took forever and the staff had absolutely no respect for customers who were waiting. I was asked "whatchu git?" Too many options to deal with garbage attitudes. read more

Pros: good basic smoothies, quick Cons: none really I run in here pretty frequently for my island green detox smoothie. Its primarily spinach, tropical fruit, and sweetened with ginger, so its pretty healthy. The staff members are always friendly and efficient. Ive never had to wait very long. You can get a variety of smoothies that are loaded with sugar. I believe you can request they go light on sugar or use splenda. Ive never done this though but its worth an ask. There are a variety of options for sll. Im going to try the jerk chicken bowl next time im in, but its hard to pull me away from those island greens! The smoothies are all fresh. If you are looking for health benefits, You arent going to get the cold pressed juice quality here. You're also not paying cold pressed juice prices. Closing, Im sure everyone is familiar with this chain. Its a solid spot for the locals or passer by to get a smoothie fix at, but it is not a place to seek out. read more

Same design as others, about the same service. Nothing really noteworthy here. Typical chain

I have been to this place a few times, and every time I go the service is abominably slow. Today I waited a good 45 minutes for a single smoothie, sitting in a hot car in the drive-thru with 6 or 7 people behind me. After about 30 minutes, the guy at the pick-up window slid it open and told me it wasn't ready yet. No apologies, he just said they were doing a shift change and no one knows who's supposed to be doing what. (I wish I were exaggerating!) About 10 minutes later he told me to pull up to the front door (?!?!) so they could bring it out to me when it was ready. After about 5 more minutes, a woman finally came out to my car to give me my smoothie. Appalling! If a shift change causes that much confusion, the place is either grossly understaffed, undertrained, or both. I will not be returning. Tropical Smoothie needs to get its act together! VERY disappointing. read more

This place use to be really good. Food use to come out fast and made right but this is probably the 5th or 6th time I've came here and my order was not ready, and I've had to wait at least 10 minutes! I would place my order online (on purpose because I know it's a popular location so about 20-30 in advance and every time I am waiting it's frustrating because I'm usually going before work so what's the point of online ordering if nothing is actually going to be ready or made properly read more

Let me describe my hot mess of a visit. Pulled into drive thru+ Ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 smoothies. Easy. Confirmed order, great! Now wait in line of only 3 cars for about 10 minutes. Pulled up to the window, employee was loud but didn't open the window for a while. Takes my card, and waits for another minute or so. Sounds of confusion. Then opens asks about my order???? She had already charged my card for someone else's order. We'll be charged less than our order so they don't have to redo the order etc. Asks me to pull forward and they'll bring the order out. While we're waiting the cashier comes out and picks up someone's card they had dropped. Then gets locked out and is knocking and yelling "let me in". People are still in drive thru waiting for her. I kinda feel bad but can't do anything. Wait about another 8-10 minutes for them to bring our food out, while everyone else in the drive thru behind us gets their orders. Finally get food, with extra chips not part of the order. ‍ok. Hot. Mess. read more

Update 2/16/18 Decided to give this location another try...BAD DECISION! Still horrible customer service starting from management down. Will never go back to this location again. Bad reviews are well deserved. This location need to make some serious improvements! The wait was about 15 mins for a smoothie! My sandwich actually was completed 5 mins before my smoothies and I was shocked they don't give you your order together. The staff was unprofessional, yelling at each other and even encouraging customers to call corporate on their location. There seems to be enough people to staff the location, they just appeared to not know what they are doing. Management needs to take a serious look at what's going on there. read more

I am disappointed and hungry. I ordered a breakfast wrap online, specifying no chicken and that I am vegetarian. When I opened it to eat it, I got a big bite of chicken. I called to ask for a refund, since now I have no breakfast and will be hungry until lunch or later, but the best they could offer was a free one next time. I explained I am thoroughly turned off by the chicken and there won't be a next time, and again asked for a refund. I didn't get a refund. I have a real problem paying $8 plus the cost of gas and the travel time to be hungry all morning. I gave them a chance to make this right before posting this review, but no deal. read more

Me and my family visit this location almost daily. Well they will not be receiving our business anymore. Ashley B was such a great help! Fast service and polite. Customer service was phenomenal! Great job tropical smoothie!

Super fast, clean, and polite. Ordered a detox green island, naturally sweetened vegan smoothie to help after i ate a ton of French toast

Service is normally great but I've had very rude encounters with Ariel and Ashur. I always pre-order from the app upon simply coming in to inquire about my pickup I get the nastiest looks and shortest, rudest responses. Today i was standing right in front of Ariel and it took her 60 secs to even make eye contact. Then she gave me a nasty look and rudely told me my order wasn't ready yet. read more

Last time I came, they left something out of the avocalada and I recognized it immediately because I get the same smoothie every time. No issues with remaking it for me and the 2nd time, it was great. That's the reason this review is 3 stars instead of 1. Today I go in for a flatbread and avocolada. I got thr flatbread 10 minutes ago but I am still waiting for my smoothie. I asked and was told there are still 7 ahead of me. So im sitting here with my food getting cold which makes no sense to me...wait to make the flatbread until my smoothie is being made. read more

I got a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe on Evergreen and that place is gross. They need to be cited.
