I was in the area and decided to stop in. I ordered the Nauti Bowl and did like it for the most part. I was very mixed on the bowl at first, as I think it did taste very good, but was almost a bit too frozen for an acai bowl. I may go back and try another bowl as the sunrise bowl does actually look really good. The portion size is very big even for a small, and the service was pretty quick but there was only one other customer when I walked in. Overall around $12 in price , but that seems like what most bowls are going for these days and sometimes more. I would say still worth it in you're in the area. read more

Stopped by here for an açaí bowl. The interior nautical decor is very cute and service was pretty quick. I had the protein bowl, which was just okay for me. The açaí felt a little frozen and thus didn't mix well with the many toppings, making it feel a little dry, I was also not a huge fan of the chia. These are pricey BUT I'd say way worth it. Very delicious and a variety of toppings. Also sometimes I like to just get the various base flavors bc they're so delicious and take it home and add my own toppings. Staff is always friendly when I'm there. Store is clean. And app is easy to use- when I've ordered it's always ready when I come to pick it up- and they keep it chilled in the freezer. read more

The line outside was wider than the space inside. An arch of blue and white balloons commemorating the opening today. This is a franchise açai bowl location. Originally a Minnesota based franchise. I was behind Alisa, she was 40th in line and jumped in it as soon as she saw a decent sized line forming out front, hair foiled and all. She was fun to chat with while we waisted. I was the 41st person in line for the opening today. Waited about 15-20 minutes outside or so. Ordered a dingy of the big island bowl. The big island bowl looks decent with the layers of the coconut, pitaya, blue majik, mango and açaí smoothies. The coconut smoothie was dripping out of the bowl when I got it, the bowl was packed pretty much to the top. The mango and açaí and pitaya smoothies are the better. The granola was hard and was lacking in sweetness, was flat and bland on their own. Have had better granola in an açaí bowl. The strawberries were okay, soft, prefer tear freshly cut and less saturated. Honey, a drizzle is $1 extra. Service was quick. The wait for the bowl was only about 5+ minutes or so. How do the açaí bowls rank to the ones in Hawaii, they are okay. read more

Received a coupon for this place in the mail and decided to stop by! We ordered two Big Island Bowls and one Pink Sunrise Bowl. At $9, $11, or $15, they are the price of a fast food meal. What I liked: Flavors were yummy and tropical. I appreciate that the ingredients are clean. These bowls were a yummy treat on a hot summer day. What I didn't like: The bowls were almost too icy cold...I think I would have appreciated the fruit flavors even more had they been a smidge less frozen. Also, I don't like how this store claims to be a healthy option. You are still consuming 60+ grams of sugar in any of the bowls (yes, mostly fruit sugars, but still), so definitely think of this as a dessert! read more

This is my second time trying their bowls. I got an Anchor bowl this time and a Nauti bowl before. Both were really good and filling. The establishment is very clean and the service was quick and friendly. I think $11/12 for the smallest size is a little pricey, but it's comparable to the going rate, so I was fine paying it. Asked for a create your own bowl and requested a scoop of ice cream on top (happy to pay extra) they refused and said that empty portion was for toppings only and I explained that I have a lot of allergies to many of the toppings therefor I'll just take an extra scoop and then said no... I paid my $15 and left. It was fine but very sweet. I might have felt the experience was better if I weren't treated so poorly. I left feeling like the workers were rude and rigid and if you're looking for something yummy it's much better to go to Pagos in Royal oak. They're always so nice there, we go frequently and take the kids and my wife's parents because they love the ube. I would not recommend this place first for the service and then for the fact that there are better places.. this is fake healthy, might as well get the real deal at Pagos. So rude, literally and figuratively have a bad taste in my mouth. I forgot to mention NO SaMpLES. Better hope you like your $15 bowl bc there is no trying flavors before you buy. Poor customer service. Apparently the servers in Royal Oak, MI Have not had diversity training (E & R). My granddaughter and I entered the store, saw the clerk at the fruit area, and waited to be acknowledged for a few minutes; no one was being served at the time. The server glared at us but did not say "Hello, May I help you" or anything. I only stayed because my grandchild wanted to try the bowls. It was very awkward. A young guy came from the back and looked at us. Still we're standing there with nothing being said. Eventually he asked if we knew what we wanted. I replied, yes, and told him. Then....the original female approached us began to complete the transaction. I asked if it was customary to greet the customers? She said, I said " hello". No you didn't. If so, I wouldn't have asked. She kept glaring at my granddaughter and myself. She completed the transaction. As we left, my granddaughter asked if we were treated that way because of our skin color? I told her "yes". Welcome to her first experience of racism. We both were very disturbed. A simple greeting of "Hello, welcome, may I help you....." Simple customer service, 101 would have avoided this review. Money is green....in ALL hands. read more

Wowzers - This place is amazing! I got really into açaí bowls when I lived in CA where they are widely available. I was absolutely delighted to find this place very near to where I live. They have tons of options for both bowl bases (beyond açaí they have ube, coconut, chia pudding, etc., etc.) and toppings. They make their own fresh almond & peanut butters and offer other types of "butters" like coconut butter which I'd never had/heard of, but am now completely obsessed. As well, they have the traditional fruits (strawberry, blueberry, banana) and granola with some other crunch options like cacao nibs and goji berries. Did I mention they don't add sugar to any of it? Thank you! They've been out of it the last couple of times I've been there, but they have kombucha on their menu too...yes, please! Bonus: the place appears very clean (I'm a stickler) and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Tip: sign up for their rewards before you go so you can start collecting points towards freebies ASAP. I'm excited for this because while worth every penny for their quality ingredients, the bowls are not inexpensive. That's not a deterrent to me, but I'm a person who is willing to pay for a superior product. You get what you pay for! Just saying, don't expect to go here and pay ice cream prices - it's not that, it's waaaay better.
