I was out and about running errands. Had a hanging for something but didn't know what. I wandered into Typical Smoothie. They had a wide variety of offerings. I went with a tropical fruit blend. The staff was standoffish, but prompt. The Smoothie was delicious, but a bit expensive. All in all, I would go back of or when the hankering for a Smoothie hits again. read more

The food was great. The smoothy was terrible. It tasted like they used sink water. And it wasn't cold or had the smoothy consistency. I work right by the cafe so it shouldn't have melted this quickly. read more

Açaí bowl was completely frozen. Toppings were fresh but have to wait for it to melt a bit before i can eat

The best Tropical Smoothie location/ branch in my opinion. I'm officially addicted to their Island Green Detox smoothie (190 cal) w a scoop of soy protein. It's perfect every single time; as a snack or meal replacement. The banana peanut butter oatmeal crunch flatbread is also incredibly delicious. Elvis would have flipped for these. read more

Refreshing What began as a nice even cool morning turned into hot by lunch. A good way to combat that and be a little healthy is with a smoothie. I don't drink many smoothies and I ask myself why whenever I have one. I had a good one today, something called a Rockin' Raspberry Classic, with strawberries, bananas and of course, raspberries. I think they only have one size, it was pretty large, and it was prepared in just a few minutes. It was cold, I had to pace myself or get brain freeze, so it lasted awhile. They have seats inside and out, I sat outside for a few minutes, then headed out with my drink. If you want something other than a drink for lunch, or in addition to a drink, they also offer a variety of sandwiches and other items. read more

We were visiting Sarasota and I had to have a smoothie from a local Tropical Smoothie franchise. We got 2 fruit smoothies that were 100% not edible. Horrible taste and so watered down. We spent almost 20.00 on those an a Thai Chicken Wrap. The wrap tasted ok, but was more of a super fat burrito that fell apart when you bit into it. Everything went into the trash except for the bag of chips that was initially a apple in spite of ordering chips. Had to return to the store to swap that out. Stay clear of this store. read more

Stopped by on the spur of the moment and got great smoothies and great service. LOVE the smoothies. Thanks Décor similar to all in the franchise. read more

Terrible service. Drive thru with only two cars in front of me took 14 Minutes just to get to the window. I paid, young girl disappeared for another 3 minutes. Did not even apologize for the wait. Never again. read more

If you want the 3rd degree when you walk in, burnt food and literal ice with fruit backwash blended together this is the place for you. Have given the place many chances, Tropical Smoothie is not cheap so it is upsetting to be given this quality of food. read more

The store is spotless. The staff is friendly and fast. Their prices are reasonable and they put out a consistently good product. What else is there to say? They have a good thing going. read more

This was my favorite place to lunch since I moved to Sarasota, however my last 3 visits here have been pretty disappointing, they say they close at certain time but when I went to pick up my order turns out the place was closed at 4PM!!!! And they refused to give me a refund at all.... don't waste your time here. read more

Very rude staff they expect you to know the menu if you have any questions they don't really answer them. When ordering food she kept rushing me and asking if I was done yet. Not very happy. read more

This establishment is supposed to open at 8am. We waited for 20 minutes and no one showed up. This is the 5th time this has happened. We have previously ordered online to be picked up at 8:15. And no one is even at the shop. I don't know if the employee is the owner or not. But if he isn't , you are losing business There were a few people who walked up to the door, only to find the business closed. If you post business hours, you should adhere to them. With an 8am opening, you can get a lot of the business people coming in for a pick me up. But no. You're losing customers. read more

This is one of my "to go" places for lunch. The Alex & staff are always friendly & accommodating. They work hard to remember each customer for your next visit. I've NEVER had a bad meal, but each dish & smoothie is made perfect & fresh. The app is the way to go. I place order, it's always ready...no wait read more

Excellent banana smoothly I had custom made. Fast service. Great location from a day on the boat.

I went to tropical smoothie for the first time and ordered 2 smoothies and a turkey bacon ranch sandwhich and ate almost every bite and then come to find an earring back in the sandwhich. Then proceeded to pull over and throw up on the side of the road. Then I called the place and they didn't even say I'm sorry then just asked for my number. Safe to say I'm never going back. read more

I went here on vacation with my family and it was AMAZING!! Fantastic service, great food. I am in love with the Blimey Limey smoothie! The extremely kind cashier asked where we were from and how our day was going! Overall, one of the best places to have a meal or a snack in Sarasota! read more

Our family loves tropical smoothie. This one especially has the BEST customer service! Atmosphere is great clean and tropical and their food great. like normal :) read more

What a difference!! New owners have taken over this place and it is a million times better! They cleaned the place up, painted, put new flooring down and hired friendly employees. Service is better (they could still use another employee to help with the lunch rush), it doesn't smell anymore, and the food and smoothies are prepared fresh and taste great. I just had a guava smoothie with strawberry, cranberry and orange - it was amazing. I also recommend the baja chicken flatbread...yummy! I just hope they can handle the busy times once word gets out that there are new owners here... read more

I was very curious to see what all the buzz about this place was so I convinced myself to give it a try. Big mistake. Waited 33 minutes for a sandwich and a water, which by the way I paid $2.00 for and the employee filled up a plastic cup with sink water. When I asked why I didn't receive bottled water he replied, "We're out." Extremely disorganized staff and it didn't look like there was even a manager to speak to. I am more than disappointed in my first experience. read more

Customer service was good. I noticed that they over filled the blenders causing the portions to be more than required for cup sizes. Smoothies tasted watered down probably from more ice than fruit. read more

My mother was frustrated with the quality of the food she got from a sandwich shop next door so she went to tropical smoothie and bought a pesto chicken pita. This review is from a single bite she shared with me. I loved it and will be going back to get a whole one to myself. read more

Wow! I have heard so many good reviews from my friends but I was not impressed at all! First off, I get that their busy and everything from working long hours but they were very rude and not at all hospitable. I have been too much better smoothie places where they were much more talkative . They also added way to much ice to my smoothie which caused it to be almost like a slurpy which is not what I signed up for at all read more
