Last year I started doing this thing where I would go out, buy fruit, in a few days it world be rotten and I would throw it out. Then I tried freezing it, in the hopes I would make smoothies with my new blender thingy. Ha. Luckily, this year, I decided to get my nutrients via Tropical Smoothie while I was in Florida. There's something about sunshine and driving around for hours running errands that makes a smoothie a cool treat. Several days a week found me at Tropical giving a different flavor a try each time. (Green apple matcha is my favorite) They offer sandwiches and salads, and you can add a smoothie to the meal at a discounted price. Nice. I did have a hummus bowl and it was pretty good. Originally i kinda thought the smoothie prices were a tad high UNTIL I went to another smoothie place in Florida and it was way higher with a smaller portion and recently tried a place out here in NY AND THAT was even higher in price. The tropical smoothie on 100 has a very un professional manager in charge an older woman with long curly black hair. She was continuously rude to customers about their orders as well as she was very rude to her own workers snapping at them infront of customers. Then when I gave her the order and the coupon that came in my flyer yesterday to my mailbox, she said no we're not honoring them I said ma'am your address is right on it and it says good through April 30. I am just leaving this location and have to leave a review. My wrap and smoothie were spot on! The Thai wrap was fantastic and avocado smoothie was better than any I have had at my previous locations. The reason I really wanted to leave a review was the service. The lady at the counter (tall with glasses) is fantastic. She was happy and positive and seemed to enjoy being there and making the guests happy. worst service ever! We called ahead because the wait can be long at times. Both employees looked at us but did not acknowledge us when we walked in the door. We watched her put our order in the refrigerator and turn back to the blenders to clean them and start another order. Marcus was making food orders and looked our way a number of times but still said nothing. The 3rd employee came back from break, checked in at the cash register and continued to the back. Once she took over making the food orders Marcus took off his gloves and finally asked us for our order! Seriously, we have dealt with slow service here many times but this was by far the worst. I am very pleased to find this place. It has a great combo for lunch - Flatbread and shake for 8 dollars. This isn't a tiny appetizer and it isn't a small cup of shake. You really get your money's worth and for this new Vegan/Vegetarian, finding a place that knows its ingredients and sensitivities of its clients is super important. The staff are terrific, the smoothies are usually always consistent, there's a ton of coupons that you can find in local discount magazines, and it's no secret that they have certain days when they release text for $2 or $3 Smoothie days. When not looking for a bargain tho, the menu prices can run high just for a smoothie, so I would suggest getting one of the combo deals. Be advised, this place can get backed up! On text days, so go later at night. A few more things, it's nice to go here for the free wifi, chill and listen to the island reggae, and watch espn highlights on the LCD on the wall. Absolutely love this place I live on the other side of town and and have one 5 minutes away but I would much rather go to this one even though it's 12 minutes away the service is amazing and the people are so friendly all the time no matter what shift I walk in on I'm one first name basis with the staff and all ways give me a great greeting not understanding how it's only has 3.5 stars but 10/10 recommend this place it's my daily go to place either before work but if not open I always go after people gotta do better and realize they are the nicest staff there is the other location near me is terrible read more

Every time I come here, I remember why I don't come here. I ordered a smoothie 15 mins before actually walking in the facility and I still had to wait in line to pay and then I had to wait another 25 minutes or more for just two smoothies. I've had salads and wraps here and they were both lackluster. The sesame chicken had only a few small strips of chicken and was mostly lettuce. One of local favorites but almost always a wait food has been consistently good and fresh and we love the smoothies though sometimes I wish they had a variety of sizes. Sometimes I just want a small one. My fav is mocha madness and really can't bring myself to try anything else. I'm not crazy about banana in drink form and a lot of choices include banana. My daughters fav is pomegranate plunge but she is more open to trying more of the offering than me. I like having the option of Splenda instead of sugar. Overall a great place. I don't live in Flagler, but I go often to visit - and when I do, I always make it a point to go to TSC. So first, the food is amazing and the smoothies are always on point. I try something new every time, and I've never tried something I didn't like. Second, the service is GREAT. The people who run the place are super caring and always so considerate. Really great people. :) The only downside is that, during lunch, it's always busy - so if you're going to go, call in ahead of time and order to pick up.
