I placed an order for asap pick up on my way to work (10 minutes) this morning around 8AM, I got there in 15 min thinking plenty of time. I parked out front just so I can quickly run in, grab and go. If I could rate this location, zero stars I would. I had placed an order at 6:30pm for an 8 PM pick up, according to Google the location closes at 9. I show up a couple minutes before eight, all of the front lights are off, except for the open sign, and both entrance doors are locked. I go to the drive-thru And I do believe that I honked my horn to try and get somebody's attention, ended up, waiting around the front, going back through the drive-through and that's when I made eye contact with a storm member. She scurried to the back, at that point I knew that I was not going to get served, but I had already paid for my order. So of course, I did what anyone would do, go up to the building and knock on the door, rather loudly because at this point, they are hiding in the back. I never received my order, as they were refusing to serve any customer, not just me. There were other orders that were being placed, I could see it on the drive-through screen. At one point, I did see somebody grab the orders on the counter, And of course, scurry's right to the back where they cannot be seen from the any view from windows Ultimately, a manager ended up coming to Help them close. and escort them out of the building With not a single word said to the customers in the parking lot.. waiting . I ended up having a "conversation " in the parking lot with "Ghost" He did express that we would get refunds without asking names for orders or anything got in his car, flipped us off and drove away. One week later, I contacted the district manager via a phone call to this location and was provided her phone number, and I've not heard anything back and I've yet to receive a refund. I sent a follow up message regarding the refund of the order that was placed on 2/23/25 . And still silence. And contacted the email provided. Silence still. 4/17/25 a generic response was provided on this review but no contact has been made on their part. I've reached out numerous times to corporate, with no resolution. Just false Hope of the district manager returning my call. As of 4/15 my phone calls no longer are going through to this STORE ONLY. When I've called twice, and stopped when given Michelle the district managers name and number on 3/3/25. She is the one who gave me this information to reach out. For me, it is the principle of how a business is ran, and how they follow through to make it right. It shouldn't matter how much I spent. They have taken my money and I've given them enough time and opportunity chance to make it right. read more

I have had about my limit full of rude customer service employees at this Tropical Smoothie Café!! I have had more than 5 independent issues with the quality of the food and service. Location: 6614 E Baseline, in Mesa AZ Nearest crossroads Power & Baseline (480) 325-7680 I live very close to that store. I enjoy eating healthier Whole Foods, not the typical than fast food joints. Unfortunately, every time I go there, I am disappointed. Last week, I went through the drive-thru to order 2 Berry Yogurt Bowls and a Smoothie, only to find out they did not have enough bowls (the to-go container they customarily put the Yogurt Bowls in) to be able to complete my order. Fortunately, I waited two days to call the store to see if they had the "bowls" back in stock. NOPE! On the third day, I called again and Taaa- Daaaa! They have them in stock. I proceed to order "my usual" a Mango Magic with extra mango and two Mixed Berry Greek Yogurt Bowls. Everything came out GREAT (atleast these two didn't have CHICKEN chunks mixed in with the all fruit yogurt bowl!)! So, jump to last night. I get on their app and ordered "my usual", paid online too. I go through the Drive-Thru to pick up my order. "No Can Do"!!!! They have run out of bowls AGAIN! She informs me that she cannot fulfill the order that I have already paid for. She suggested that I contact her manager, Ghost (no joke)! She kindly gave me my receipt and I drove off, once again without My Usual. I call this location and ask for Ghost. The rude young man that answered that business telephone told me (after a very pregnant pause) that he was Ghost. Well, I knew that wasn't Ghost because Ghost is probably in his late 20's. This kid, who clearly hasn't learned proper business phone etiquette, I asked again for Ghost, he replied "I'm Ghost lady, you either deal with me or nobody". I politely asked for this young man's name, of course he refused. Not only did he refuse to give me his name, he HUNG up on me! I stood there dumbfounded (or just dumb). Of course, I immediately thought that I should march my happy little a_ _ over there and teach him a lesson! Then reality kicked in! If the Dominoes employee told me to f..k off and did not face any consequences, this kid was polite in comparison! Meanwhile, I've got a hankering for My Usual yogurt bowl, two of which I have already paid for! Plan on spending your entire lunch break in the drive through. If there's more than 2 cars, go elsewhere. I've been to a couple locations, and I RARELY eat here, everytime it's a 15-20 min wait PER CAR. And yes, I have wasted an entire lunch break in the drive thru and had to eat it when I was back on the clock at work. It was less than a mile from my work. I drove through the drive thru on Sunday 2/2 and the person in the restaurant stated they were "closed" while still having their open sign lit. I usually go through the drive-thru, so don't interact too much with the employees but service is always fine. Timing can be hit or miss; sometimes it can take a while. I love Tropical Smoothie Cafe, but this location was awful. The floor was sticky. The person who took my order seemed less than helpful or interested in being there. I ordered a wrap to-go and waited for my food. It took about 5 minutes and the person who made the orders just brought out my order and placed it on the counter. I was not notified that the order was ready, nor did either Tropical Smoothie Cafe employee acknowledge that an order was ready. I just walked up to the counter and picked up my food and walked away with it. It wasn't until I was out the door that the order taker noticed I was leaving with my food and then gave a sad "thank you." The entire time I was waiting for my food, the order taker was face planted into the register - it was very obvious that they were looking at their phone. Got home with my wrap and found it to be only half the size of wraps I have received at the Signal Butte location. Will not be returning to this location. read more

I am an avid tropical smoothie connoisseur. I went a few weeks back and the service from the get go was messy. I pulled up and 2 people were talking to me through the speaker. They didn't realize because they asked me the same questions. I over looked it though because stuff happens. However when I payed for my meal I checked the receipt to get points on my app and I noticed the cashier added tip!!!! completely unwarranted. It was only a $2 tip but he didn't even ask if I wanted to tip. When I had payed I only passed him my debit card and that was it, nothing more. So I was pretty ticked. I honestly don't care about loosing $2 but who knows how many people he could be doing this to. I asked him about it and he didn't say anything so I asked if I could speak to his supervisor and so he proceeded to get another one of his female coworker to speak with me instead. So I proceeded to ask her the same question and she said that their supervisor was not in. I then explained to her the situation and she had asked me who was helping me, which was strange because I thought the employee that initially helped me went and got her to go speak with me. I didn't have his name so I explained that it was the boy with the blue eyes that I just spoke with. She told me she didn't know who I was talking about, so then I asked her how many people were working with her and she stated that she had only 2 other coworkers with her. So I look behind her to see if I can point the boy out. I did not see him but instead I saw her other coworker who looked completely different from the boy that initially helped me. So there is no way this girl didn't know who I was talking about. Anyways I realized neither of them were going to help me so I asked for their supervisors number and instead she grabbed a notepad and had me write down my number instead. I ordered a smoothie 2 Saturdays ago and I was the only one in the drive thru. I waited in the drive thru for about 6 minutes at the window and the guy working there with the piercings on his face and tattoos didn't even have the common sense or the decency to check on me or give me an update after waiting a little while. So I knocked on the window to get an update. He came to the window and told me I need to be patient and not to beat on his window when I only knocked. Me simply inquiring about how much longer it will take after 5 minutes of being the only one in the drive through is very patient. He was automatically on the defense, condescending, rude and had a disgusting attitude. I had to inquire because I didn't want to be late to where I was going and if they couldn't make the smoothie in time I would simply have to cancel it. Long story short, I told him I just wanted to know the time but he said I "beat" on his window which I didn't and that "apparently" they are busy. I said yes I knocked on the window because I have been sitting in the drive thru for over 5 minutes as the only one there and I just simply wanted to know how much longer it would take since he didn't have the decency to take 20 seconds to tell me we are backed up and give me an estimated time. This is the second time I've come where it took 20+ minutes to make my smoothies. The first time it was 40 minutes. And it was always the same guy. Most of the time they are fast and well. I would post this on every tropical smoothie cafe..it's not this location in particular. TSC is so deceiving with their smoothie ingredients and clear facts. If your health conscious, this place isn't for you. I'm disgusted to have ordered a smoothie that doesn't state has any added sugar in it. The only ingredients listed anywhere (website, store, app) do not contain anything but pineapple, banana (which I was told was fresh by the employee) and kale/spinach. However, the nutrition facts sheet online states that it has 88g sugar (some natural but mostly added) turbinado (which is not clear on their menu; this is on a separate web page for their nutrition facts that I researched). This is an issue for anyone looking to lower their sugar intake. This is a company wide issue. read more
