Service was very untimely. Older lady was apologetic towards cars within the drive-thru who had not sat for longer than 2 minutes, meanwhile we had sat for over 20 minutes as a walk-In. During the period of sitting we watched 3-4 be serviced while we waited without any communication to why the wait was so long. We also witnessed a car receive their food without using any form of payment. Again the service at this location is very poor and I believe it is due to a management issue. Biggest hold up I have seen has been on the food line. Would not recommend this location. Environment was not very friendly or pleasant. Worst location in Lansing. I got my order and after trying the smoothies. They were really bad with one of them not even being filled to the top and the other being an odd color that didn't match what the smoothie was suppose to be. Went in to have the smoothies remade as the employee started I noticed they touched a broom and didn't wash their hands after. They proceeded to started putting ice in a bucket afterwards. I told one of the other employees to have the smoothies refunded because that's nasty. The employee at the front proceeded to ask for the rest of the food instead of just refunding the drinks. I went back to the car and grabbed the food. Once I brought it in the employee said he couldn't refund me because I had made the order online. Walked out with no food or a refund. Went online to find out it's nearly impossible to get a refund through the company since it's all email based and says on the website to contact the location for a refund. Ordered 2 Bahama Mama smoothies with mango. Mango for both was $1.00 for a total of $12.27. Smoothie was good and as expected. Customer service is an issue. We arrived in the drive thru line at 6:36pm with 4-5 cars ahead of us. Drive thru could not hear us and asked us to pull forward. There were three teenage looking employees with Selma taking drive thru orders. They did double check at pickup window that we were getting the correct smoothies as we had to order at window. When young man gave us our smoothies my husband said thank you and the employee was silent. We could tell they were stressed about the amount of customers and maybe even frustrated with each other. It took 25 mins from the time we drove into line at the drive thru until we were driving away with our two smoothies. It took 5 minutes for the girl to take our payment and then another 5 (if not more) to actually get our drinks. It was frozen once I did get it being that I tried to take a drink and nothing came out. When I was finally able to get a drink, it tasted more like ice than anything else. Got the Kiwi Quencher and I taste no kiwi or strawberry. The girl that took the payment didn't really seem like she wanted to be there. Management really needs to get involved with this location. Definitely the worst tropical smoothie place ever. Worth the drive to East Lansing or Eastwood Towne center locations. Maybe it's cause they are new and still getting the hang of making smoothies with everyone. Creative menu, good smoothies. Tasty food. Slow but friendly service. I signed up for the app to use with my iPhone and received a $2 off coupon via email that I can't use. Don't know why. When I tried to use the app, it would not connect to the store, so my order was never sent. I had to call it in. Again, friendly service, but when we went to pick it up at the designated time, it was not ready because they had lost the order. Did I mention this place is slow? When I finally got to enjoy my chicken flatbread, I was halfway through when I found a long hair in it. Turned my stomach. So yeah. Maybe I will just stick to buying smoothies from now on. I've been waiting in the drive through for 15 minutes... that isn't an exaggeration I've literally listened to 5 songs

Stopped on my way to work on a typical Friday morning and went inside due to the drive thru being busy to fine one girl all by herself doing everything. She took my order while madly trying to do the drive thru, the window , making smoothies, ect... while I am waiting a man comes out from the back asks if I've been helped I say yes but I have been waiting and he walks back to the back.. no acknowledgment that this poor girl is working her ass off by herself and HE DOES NOT HELP HER. WOW. It must just be considered "Normal" now a days to just mess every order up at every drive through restaurant! I literally waited for 20 min before getting to the window to pay, pulled up just to stare at my frozen smoothie for another 10 min through the window. I get it stores get busy but your serving a FROZEN drink that is melting in front of my eyes and as I watch the employees pass it 10 times I got frustrated pulled up went inside to get my $9 smoothie just to be given the wrong one and not realize until I drove 10 min home! I came in with friends. They were busy so I ordered online. Food was decent, the wrap I get is usually warm, but it was extremely cold this time around. I'm not one to complain, so I just ate it. My friends on the other hand ordered in line and eventually received their food first. No big deal, we figured the smoothies would come shortly after. 10 minutes later, they decided to check if they were still getting their smoothies. A worker assured they they would be right up. After 20 more minutes of at least 10 other people getting their smoothies, my friends decided they had waited too long. We all personally felt like they shouldn't have had to wait 30 minutes for their smoothies and still pay for them, so they asked for a refund. The manager took that as my friends not wanting the smoothies anymore, so she dumped them both out in front of my friends right after they expressed they wanted the smoothies, they just felt like they shouldn't have to pay for them. Extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service from the manager; wouldn't recommend this location. read more

I typically get Tropical Smoothie three to four times a week, but I've always driven out to East Lansing in order to satisfy my craving. When I realized the new Cafe was open on Saginaw, I thought I'd take my business to a cafe closer to home. Upon arriving, it took five minutes for someone to take my order at the drive thru. When arriving at the window to pay, the employee took almost ten minutes to open the window and ask for my money. No cars were behind me, she was just sitting there on her phone. Then when picking up my order, which was two smoothies, it took them another ten minutes to make them and give them to us. When ordering, I asked the employee to please take the strawberries out of my smoothie and instead add extra yogurt due to being deathly allergic to strawberries, she said she most definitely would. At the pick up window, I double checked with a different employee to make sure there were in fact no strawberries and she said yes. After taking a drink of my smoothie, there were definitely strawberries in it. I took it back inside and asked them to please remake it because there were strawberries in it after I asked them to remove them due to allergy. One of the employees started getting loud and claiming she "had JUST made it" so there were definitely no strawberries in it, as the employee next to her is laughing at me for asking them to remake it. The first employee said she'd remake it as the other employee is calling me a liar. Then as they're remaking it, they kept holding up the blender and going "see, no strawberries." as they're mocking me. She then proceeded to write "no strawberry smoothie" on the cup with three underlines and then pour the smoothie in. It was a completely different color and you could tell just by tasting it that this time there were in fact no strawberries. The smoothie was great, but the employees need to fix their attitudes and quit mocking their customers. read more
