Those guys are fast and furious!! Havent been here for a year, but the peanut butter paradise still tastes the same. They are very consistent. I like it. Parking spaces are shared with 3-4 businesses so keep that in mind during rush hours. I was here on a Saturday noon and there were still a few available. Service is great and the people working their are helpful and professional. Tables/dine-in is open full throttle. I hope to keep seeing this business thrive as does Kalamazoo and its community. Like this place a lot the smoothies are the best! That is all I ever used to get here, and then my wife said lets meet and have lunch. I said huh? They have food? I have now eaten there 3 times and it has been a treat every time the chicken is juicy and herbaceous. The PEANUT BUTTER BANANA CRUNCH FLATBREAD Yumm !!!

First I was asked to show my id when I paid which I've never had to do before, second my smoothie was not the best but my buffalo chicken wrap was by far the best I've had and only reason it got a 3 star

Love their smoothies! Best detox drink after a workout or to end a hectic day! Tried the new detox drink with no added sugar and it was really good. The after taste of ginger was delightful. A little bit pricey but the size of the drink can last for a whole day. Recommended:)

My wife's chicken (Beyond Meat, in her case) pesto flatbread, my cilantro lime and Korean bbq tacos. Tasty!

My wife and I heard about Tropical Smoothie Cafe through Yelp. It's pretty new to the Kalamazoo area, so we thought we'd check it out. We are very glad we did! The environment was fun and refreshing, complete with bright colors and pictures of fruit on the walls. We spent quite a while looking over the menu before ordering. I ordered a cilantro lime taco and a Korean bbq taco for a fair price of about $6, and added a 24oz (huge) smoothie for about $4 more. They were advertising their new fall smoothies (I would've never thought of that), so I tried the spiced pear. My wife ordered the chicken pesto flatbread with the Beyond Meat meat substitute, since she's vegetarian. We were grateful that the cashier let us have a sample (albeit cold) of the Beyond Meat. The tacos were good. The Korean bbq was delicious. It was sweet and spicy, and I loved the kale and cucumber added to the top to add some refreshing coolness. The steak was good, nothing unbelievable, but good. I thought the fish taco was good as well. There was a sweet pineapple salsa on top, which was a strong flavor. If you don't like pineapple, you won't like this. But I love pineapple, so I enjoyed it. In combination with the cilantro sauce (creamy, probably mayonnaise-based), the fish flavor was pretty much gone. I enjoyed it, but wished there was a little more subtlety in the sauces. My wife wished the shells had been more special - they were very ordinary tortillas. Nevertheless, both these tacos were very tasty. My wife's chicken (in her case, Beyond Meat) pesto flatbread was very good. The Beyond Meat was impressively tasty! We looked up what it was made of, and it is not exactly tofu, but it is similar in texture and flavor. There is some chicken flavor on the Beyond Meat, and I thought it was quite good in the sandwich! My wife really liked the sandwich, and I agreed that it was delicious. Both the smoothies were good, and good size for the price. I thought both were a little too sweet, however. I've never had a smoothie with pear before, and I think the reason is probably because it was a little grainy. I would probably not get it again, although I enjoyed it as a fun fall treat. The Island Green smoothie that my wife had was very smooth and very good (although a little too sweet in my opinion). Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and our meal. I would recommend it!

Great simple smoothies. Just ask for no added sugar to make it more natural and lower calorie.

The server was attentive, sweet, couldn't have been nicer. It's no frills, prices are reasonable and highly recommended over surrounding hotel options.

This is a new place that we have never noticed before. I believe this building used to house Theo and Stacey's and then Berries. The service was attentive and kind here, however our meals left us with a less than stellar opinion and a lack of desire to return. I can see from another reviews here that the owner says the food is mostly "house-made". I am not certain if this phrasing means the same thing as homemade, but none of our meals tasted at all homemade. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with the added option of eggs and potatoes for an extra $3. Nothing on my plate tasted homemade to my palate. The biscuits were not warm and tasted like a premade item, not like a fresh biscuit, at all. The gravy definitely had a canned taste and appearance - not flavorful or very warm. The eggs were fine, cooked to order. The breakfast potatoes did not look fresh cut and were undercooked and not seasoned as our waitress described. They definitely had a premade appearance. I have ordered biscuits and gravy all over this town, I'm not a rookie in this field. ;) My son ordered a Benedict. It was very basic, as expected, but with a bland, cold sauce. My husband ordered an omelet with the breakfast potatoes and toast. If you order sourdough toast it only comes with one piece, which is fine, but it's not true sourdough from a fermented starter. It appeared to be regular, thin bread from a packaged, pre-made loaf. He also commented that the potatoes appear to be out of a frozen bag, not a homemade appearance, taste, or flavor. The omelet was bland but they do provide salt and pepper as well as one hot sauce choice to flavor things up a bit. The coffee was very diner-esque. Lacking in flavor and strength. However our waitress kept our cups full and warm! There were a couple of larger groups present which kept the atmosphere quite loud during our visit. However the restaurant is cute and has quite a few tables to hold a good sized amount of patrons at once. With a tip our total for 3 breakfast entrees and two coffees was just shy of $60. I know that prices are on the higher side these days, but this was extremely disappointing for the food that we were served. There are so many wonderful breakfast restaurants in our area - another choice might benefit both the tastebuds and wallet! I try to be kind but honest in my reviews here, two stars is generous.
