What a neat place for boba! So much thought went into putting this place together. The variety of boba to choose from is somewhat overwhelming, but everyone there seemed so happy and excited to get their special creations. (They actually ran out of the bubbles to make some of their drinks, but, had other offerings that were just as good). Daughter had their "rosehip milk tea" with lychee bubbles (they did have that one). Very refreshing! Cute drink and a nice change of pace from the ordinary.

An amazing Bubble tea place in kzoo! Couldn't wait to try this one and reached on the opening day! It did not disappoint. They have all options from cold tea to hot tea and you can customize everything right from the flavor, to sugar level to the amount of ice. They have a lot of options and we decided to go with Lychee fruit punch with mango bubbles. It was delicious!! They recommended mango bubbles and that was a great choice. The tea was delicious, very refreshing (specially for a summer day). It wasn't too sweet and the flavor was spot on! They have a lot of drink options which we can't wait to try! Overall a great place and perfect location.

Neat business in the heart of the plaza in the corner of Drake and W. Main with plenty of parking spaces. Although they just opened and they're getting high traffic, we got our order fairly quickly. We ordered the Matcha tea (bubbles added) and the KungFu milk tea. This has hands down been the BEST bubble tea i've ever put in my mouth. The staff was friendly and they provided high level service making sure we're having a great experience. We will be coming back to try their Taro Bubble Tea (by recommendation from the staff). I cant wait till they start giving out returning costumer punch cards.

Stopped in for a refreshing pick me up mid work-day. I was super indecisive all the juice varieties…read moresounded creative and delicious. Luckily, they had a couple juices on hand for tasting purposes. Even after I tried a few I still had a hard time because I liked everything I tried! So there I was stuck in juice turmoil. I told the customer behind me to go ahead and they seemed like they knew their juices. They ordered a quick shot of a concentrated juice and then they were on their way. It sounded perfect. And it was. Being super tasty and super cool makes this a great hidden gem on the Mall.

Pretty scant on the reviews here, I feel it is my duty to spread the good word…read more Okay so first of all, the juice is tasty. Everything I've had here has been good. I've learned what my personal preferences are, and that's a big thing with making my juice purchase worthwhile. I seem to enjoy veggie based juices with a good hit of sweetness- like adding pineapple, lime, or apple. I don't enjoy juices with ginger, just my taste. My favorite juice on their current menu is "Raise the Barre", which is a green juice with some sweetness from fruit and a hint of spice from jalapenos (it's not hot). I've tried some of their natural snacks as well, like the fruit rolls and dehydrated tomato pizza bites. Again, all great. I would highly recommend anyone check out Juicy Leaf! They seem pretty active on social media- facebook and instagram, so check that out for menus and even some deals/ discounts I've seen. Gives you an idea of price, too. While I recommend this to everyone, I always warn/ inform people about price. I'm inclined to think that many people don't know the appropriate price point for these types of juices (Gee, a bottle of simply orange juice is $2 at meijer!). From what I've seen at other cold-pressed juice places, the prices here are pretty average. Remember that you're getting a whole load of fruits and veggies! 8oz are usually $5, 16oz are $9 for most juices. They do offer cleanses, too (not my thing though). Do note that their bottles note a warning regarding that they are not heat-processed, etc. May not be a good choice for someone sensitive to allergens in food- definitely ask the employees if you're concerned. I personally have never had an issue but just a note to keep in mind for any product of this nature, not just here! So all in all, I'm not mad at price. I do consider these juices a splurge for me personally, but I'm cheap and also consider buying coffee at a shop a splurge! Oh, they do offer coffee and warm drinks too. Employees are nice and knowledgeable. Definitely check it out!

A larger cafe space than others I have been to. Our smoothies were in the wrong alphabet section for pick up. We waited at a table for our food to be put up. After our scheduled pick-up time, I went to the counter and they had the food in a bag sitting on near the prep area with another water. That would have been good to know that we needed to ask for our food. The Thai Chicken Salad (ordered without wontons) and dressing was good. I usually order the Chicken Pesto Flatbread and the salad was a nice alternative. My go-to smoothie is the Island Green, substitute Splenda, and add pea protein (versus whey, which is animal protein). My husband got the Island Green Detox without sweetener and you can definitely taste the ginger! My kids like the Jetty Punch (strawberry and banana).

On our first visit to Playa Bowls, the workers were so patient and informative (and cheerful!), helping us with our order and answering questions we had (for example, possible substitutions of ingredients to make the bowls Vegan). The menu that is on the wall is so varied and expansive that at first, ordering can seem daunting. However, after their explanations, our options became clearer. I suggest looking at their menu at playabowls.com before going. (For Vegans, generally: Blueberry Flax Granola can be changed to Vegan/Gluten Free Granola for 50¢, Whey Chocolate or Vanilla Protein can be changed to Vegan Chocolate or Vanilla Protein. Honey can be removed from orders. And the Coco-Whip is Vegan.) The workers pride themselves on the artistry of the bowls! So many times at other fast food or fast-casual restaurants, the food that is served looks nothing like the photographs in the advertising. However, at Playa Bowls in Kalamazoo, the bowls often look better than the advertisements! Because we had such a wonderful time and the bowls were so delicious, we returned multiple times over the next couple of weeks. Sometimes the workers were the same, sometimes they were different, but every time, the people there provided us with the same warm and welcoming experience and beautifully crafted bowls!
