The staff are genuinely warm, smiling, and incredibly welcoming. This is exactly the standard I mean when I talk about true hospitality and I always hope for. It instantly makes you feel comfortable and at ease. There's something very calming about the space, with thoughtful details that reflect authentic Arab culture. The décor is stunning, elegant, luxurious, and thoughtfully designed, with beautiful touches that reflect authentic Arab culture. Even the cups are charming , artistic, designed with Arabic calligraphy, which adds such a authentic touch. Arabic music playing in the background adds to the cozy, inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you want to stay longer. The menu is impressively diverse and authentically Arabian. I especially loved the bakery section, there's a great variety of savory items, which is such a rare and appreciated touch in cafés They offer sambosa, Saudi coffee, Dubai cake, and traditional Arabic honeycomb bread (khaliat al-nahl), all in one place. Prices are very reasonable, and they're currently offering 20% off for their grand opening. Yay I ordered a cup of Adani tea, which was beautifully and perfectly brewed, rich, balanced, and full of flavor. I also tried a small pizza, and honestly, it was so delicious that one wasn't enough! Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. One of my favorite features is they stay open until 11 PM, and until 12 AM on weekends! which is a golden advantage! This alone makes Shibam Coffee stand out from many other cafés in Kalamazoo. I truly hope they continue offering these late hours--we really need this here. The restrooms were spotless , well cared for, and thoughtfully designed, even featuring Arabic culture in some aspects, which was such a lovely detail. Overall, this place has everything, excellent service, beautiful décor, cleanliness, authentic flavors, and a welcoming atmosphere. I can already tell this will become my go-to spot. I've learned what my personal preferences are, and that's a big thing with making my juice purchase worthwhile. I seem to enjoy veggie based juices with a good hit of sweetness- like adding pineapple, lime, or apple. I don't enjoy juices with ginger, just my taste. My favorite juice on their current menu is "Raise the Barre", which is a green juice with some sweetness from fruit and a hint of spice from jalapenos (it's not hot). I've tried some of their natural snacks as well, like the fruit rolls and dehydrated tomato pizza bites. Again, all great. I would highly recommend anyone check out Juicy Leaf! They seem pretty active on social media- facebook and instagram, so check that out for menus and even some deals/ discounts I've seen. Gives you an idea of price, too. While I recommend this to everyone, I always warn/ inform people about price. I'm inclined to think that many people don't know the appropriate price point for these types of juices (Gee, a bottle of simply orange juice is $2 at meijer!). From what I've seen at other cold-pressed juice places, the prices here are pretty average. Remember that you're getting a whole load of fruits and veggies! 8oz are usually $5, 16oz are $9 for most juices. They do offer cleanses, too (not my thing though). Do note that their bottles note a warning regarding that they are not heat-processed, etc. May not be a good choice for someone sensitive to allergens in food- definitely ask the employees if you're concerned. I personally have never had an issue but just a note to keep in mind for any product of this nature, not just here! So all in all, I'm not mad at price. I do consider these juices a splurge for me personally, but I'm cheap and also consider buying coffee at a shop a splurge! Oh, they do offer coffee and warm drinks too.
