What I think about Tropical Smoothie Cafe as a previous employee who has been terminated without any apparent reason. I just recently started working there a month ago, and I would say it's the most horrible, unprofessional, and toxic job I have had. I received an email after being told to clock out early because business was "Slow," but no, they told me a lie and then proceeded to send me an email saying... "Despite multiple discussions, your performance has not met franchise standards, particularly with timely service and minimizing distractions. To maintain team efficiency, we are removing you from the schedule permanently, effective immediately." We wish you well in the future. And on top of that previous employees they have fired that I know of personally have been fired unfairly and when they would email the management team they would not respond. read more

I am very mad because the past TWO TIMES I have ordered an Acai Bowl, they have messed it up. The first time they literally gave me the entirely wrong order, the second time I always ask for no coconut and no granola because I am ALLERGIC to granola and I emphasized and they still gave me granola. They really do smoothies well here at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. If you need a little something to freshen your day, try an island green smoothie. It's light, sweet, and refreshing. The sandwiches I enjoy here are the avocado grilled cheese and the chicken caprese. The avocado is smashed in a spread that has a little kick and melted with cheese on toast. It's a little thin and not that filling, so you'll want to get a banana or some chips with it. The caprese has all the flavors of the Italian classic, but again, it's a little small, so be sure to order a side or a smoothie to supplement. The atmosphere is fast paced and loud with all the blenders and grill exhaust going but soothing with the local Christian music station playing overhead. I've never been to the other locations, but this one is a nice place to pop in and out on a lunch break or after the gym. read more

We've been scouting this location for sometime, and had heard they finally opened. Be sure to check hours because they're a bit different. Like today, they opened at 10am. Did not know that, so we went around the immediately area and killed some time. I went ahead with a mango magic, sub the pineapple with a banana, and my husband got the orange ginger glow. We also got our princess a jetty junior and our little man took sips from all around. Mine was wonderful, as usual, but holy cow did my husbands have so much ginger. Both were good though. I ordered a chipotle chicken club with a cookie and my husband the all American wrap. He hadn't had that one before but he enjoyed it and said he'd get it again. The chipotle chicken club was pretty good as well. Today it seems like it was a training day for more employees, so service was a little slow. We were the only patrons at the time, but I won't hold that against them. We're definitely going to give them some more time to work out all the kinks before heading back. read more

I came in to retrieve my online order, and was not greeted by one of the three team members on staff. I really want to stand up like I'm at a baseball game and cup my mouth while saying, "BOOOOOOO". The last time we were here I was being gracious and didn't update my review because we are all human. But now, I'm sad to say this will be my last time coming to this location. When my sandwich was dropped off, they only gave me half. When I asked where the other half was the young lady wasn't sure what to do. I motioned to the menu and said, "I ordered the Turkey Apple Dijon sandwich, why did I only get half the sandwich?!". The lady scurried away to the kitchen area and quickly came back saying I ordered half a sandwich....(shrug). The end. It appears as though the employees have no customer service training and resolution. The cashier entered in the wrong order. I told you it was wrong and I got a shrug. A friend of mine recently told me that he and his wife give each restaurant they try three visits, because there's always that off night, or the possibility that you're bringing your own bad day to bear on the experience. That being said, the third time was not the charm for Tropical Smoothie of Evans. -Our first visit was actually ok, the bathrooms weren't clean and there was dust all over the ceiling fans, but the food was good and the service was unobjectionable. -Round two, I got the Veggie Hummus bowl which was pretty underwhelming until I realized it wasn't the recipe; the bowl was missing half its ingredients. I went back up, the counter personnel were unhelpful, but after I returned to my table, the manager showed up with a fresh bowl and a refund. Well done, but it shouldn't have taken the manager to solve the problem, unless thE line workers are just completely inept at customer service. -Which brings me to our most recent and sadly, final visit. The ceiling fans are now literally dripping with dirt, I'm pretty sure I saw some hit the ground in the middle of the cafe. My wife ordered a sandwich, half of it was delivered, and we were told that's how she ordered it. Turns out it wasn't. And in the process, we ensed up paying more for a half sandwich and a smoothie than if we had gotten the combo. Which is of course, what we ordered. No effort to fix it, no offer to refund us for the overcharge. It shouldn't take a manager to know how to respond to simple mistakes in a professional customer service manner. They always get my order wrong. The food tastes good and the smoothies are good, but they absolutely suck at getting the orders right. Tonight I ordered online, and I ordered 4 food items and 1 smoothie. They delivered the smoothie but not the food. This is the 3rd time this has happened. They've done the same thing while I waited in their store (delivering part of the order but failing to assemble the rest of it). I've tried calling and it's a computerized system that leads you to an email instead of a person. Clearly they know how much they suck. We used to be able to get in touch with real people at their location and now we can't. This place is the most unorganized junk hole of a restaurant in the Evans area. The expensive $7.29 chicken supergreen caesar salad bowl was tiny. I was still starving afterwards. Thus, I had more food at another place. This salad tasted fine with tender chicken pieces. Nevertheless, I would not re-order due to the insufficient size portion. The luminous and modern venue and restrooms were clean. There was a table for handicapped persons in the dining area by the window. Their free phone app allows you to get $5 off for $55 purchase. Well the customer service is horrible. Every time we come here there is an issue. Not one time have they got anything right. Today my wife went to get 2 smoothies. How about they forgot her order. She waited for 30 minutes just to see if they would acknowledge her and nope. While they were just laughing and goofing off she had to interrupt there fun and ask about her order. I go here often to purchase smoothies. Today, I ordered 2 Island Green smoothies and found some kind of hard object crushed within my drink (see attached picture). The staff was very rude when I told them simple things like, this is an in-person order and they looked at me like they didn't know what I was talking about, making me look like an idiot! Also, when I went up to pay for my order, I told the lady at the counter, I could use that wave-pay type of feature if they support it (would benefit them healthwise during this COVID-19 BS), and again I was made to look like a fool for asking a simple question. Coincidence my drink had a hard object in it after receiving my order? This isn't just an isolated incident either, there was one time where they forgot to add the sugar to my drinks, and I had to completely throw them out they were so bitter. I didn't want to ask for a replacement or refund because I know how fast-food workers react when there's something wrong with an order. This company masks itself as a Christian company by playing Christian music but they are wolves in sheep's clothing, ready to prey on the weak. Christians aren't supposed to treat people like that. Love the mocha madness with double peanut butter added! This Tropical Smoothie Cafe compares nicely to the 4 other locations we have visited. It is spacious and clean. The manager knew that we were hoping for chocolate chip cookies but they had run out. She kindly brought us more with extra added. We do not have a Tropical Smoothie Cafe near our home but look for them whenever we travel and this location was a great choice. Thank you! read more

This store allowed a crazy amount of people inside their store, during the Covid 19 pandemic. Even though the state is under a shelter in place. I wouldnt go in due to the amount of people and how close everyone was together. This is a true health concern. Both were very good but peach was a bit too sweet for me. My husband had one with banana and pb and chia seeds. The girl at the register suggested it. AWFUL. Took thirty minutes to make two smoothies. The girl that took my order was super rude, and the smoothies were HORRIBLE. We through them out on the drive home and I still have a horrible taste in my mouth. I've ordered the same smoothies atleast 20 times at other stores and I loved it, so flavor wasn't the issue. Just received the absolute worse customer service. Ordered a sandwich to go. The lady rang the ticket up wrong so they made an incorrect sandwich. I was very nice and showed the lady that I had the wrong sandwich and told her which one I wanted. She makes another sandwich... and it is still the wrong one. Still nicely, I ask her to make the correct one for a second time and she rolls her eyes. She begins picking parts of the second sandwich off and putting it on different bread to make a new sandwich. I love tropical smoothie cafe, I have been to a lot of locations in different states because of how much I travel. This is the only location I could leave a negative review on. I have NEVER seen so many people working at one location at the same time, yet they weren't accomplishing much. The girl who ordered behind me received her sandwich at least 5 minutes before I was given mine. And I waited about 10-15 before that. All the oranges that were out were bad, so I asked if they had more. Who I assume was the manager said something smart but told me she was kidding and said they'd get more. But I didn't really appreciate being spoken to like that as a customer. I will never again go back to that location. TERRIBLE!!!!!! They were pushing smoothies out quickly, they had four people on that station. The sandwich girl was working alone and wasn'tsure how to make stuff and kept asking people who were walking around talking if they could help. I never got the chance to taste the food, so this review is about the customer service at the Mullins location in Evans GA. My wife ordered some food online on the 27th of June for a curbside pickup. I made it to this location ten minutes before the pickup time. A young lady brought something out to another car and ask me my name. I told her my name and she said that she was going to get my food. 55 minutes later is when I decided to go in the store and talk to someone. I told them that I was there to pick up my order and they said that they do not have my order and that they can prepare it now. I said no, just refund me my money. They told me to go online and that's how you are refunded your money. I went home and my wife tried to get the money back and couldn't. She even went back to the store on the following Tuesday and they said that they could not refund an online order because it was not in the store. They also said to call our bank and cancel it that way. The money was charged to our account on the third of July. How can you charge someone for something that they did not get? I will try tropical smoothie, but not at this location. STAY AWAY. That's my warning for you. read more
