New staff and weak drinks. How do you follow the same recipe and the drinks taste completely different? They don't even look the same. Too much ice? Not enough ingredients? We don't normally stop at this location but we were on this side of town. I was already apprehensive when I walked in the door to see the trash overflowing. (See photo). There were 5 employees but only 2 sets of customers during our visit. The employee who took my order seemed annoyed when I asked to add protein and that I had an allergy to strawberries to please make sure I had a sanitized blender. She rolled her eyes and replied "fine". My husband ordered and I went to the restroom. The restroom was dirty and had no soap and no paper towels. When I left the restroom, I let the employee know that those items needed to be refilled. She said "yeah we will get to it". Our smoothies were good but the experience was not. read more

Only complaint is that they skimped on the sandwich meat. For the price it should've been more than one slice of turkey and one small piece of bacon on a half sandwich. Worst smoothie experience ever. The garbage was overflowing so I had to walk through garbage to even get to the front door. I watched him make my drink and he pulled out a blender lid from the "clean" pile and it was covered in dirty water. He wiped it on his pants and used it anyway. So I need to update my opinion of the Tropical Smoothie on Two Notch. I took my wrap from my first bad review back the next day and asked for the manager, who's name is Misha. After I explained the situation, showed her the receipt, she was very apologetic and said the person was in training, and that she herself would make both another wrap for me. Because the store was busy, I waited about 10-15 minutes, but the wrap was perfect and delicious , so left a very happy customer! I told Misha that I would be back. This place is okay. The layout of the cafe is average. However it has a cool table top area for you to wait while you're smoothies are made. The customer service left a lot to be desired. The guy who took my order seemed annoyed that I was ordering which was a complete buzzkill. On top of that, I didn't know what I wanted but knew what I wanted in my smoothie. When I told them what I wanted, they couldn't think of a smoothie to match my preference (which was just bananas... go figure) The wait time was around 8 minutes which isn't bad until you consider how many people were in front of me (3 total). When I got my smoothie, there was plenty of ice chunks still in it which completely killed my experience. I waited almost 10 minutes after receiving it to make sure it was melted and enjoyable. Overall, mediocre experience. I won't be back but I would be dishonest if I didn't say that other people could have a much better experience. I may have came on a bad day. This was my 2nd time here. They just opened earlier this month. We arrived right at opening on a Friday morning. We had coupons for a free 12 oz smoothie. Turns out that is a kid's size smoothie. I got the strawberry banana one and my friend got the strawberry lime one. It came with a half straw (regular straw cut in half) that was annoying, but the taste and texture of the smoothie was delicious. The 12 oz was the perfect size. The regular size smoothies are huge. Last time I wasn't able to finish the smoothie it was so much. The employee working was very nice and the place was clean and bright. They also have food items, and I look forward to trying them in the future. read more

No one is ever there doing there job, the wait for one smoothie is like 30 mins, and to prevent that I call, but even in my attempt to reach someone on the phone no one EVER answers. Food is good but it takes about 20+ minutes to receive you're food, I was in Florida and they took like 7 minutes max for about 3 orders.

This establishment is awful! Ridiculous, pathetic, inept employees. The owner should get fired for hiring these employees. I ask for a bowl, they give me a wrap. Didn't get the reduced priced smoothie with sandwich or wrap i purchased. The girl did apologize, but made no attempt to rectify. The customer service was terrible to say the least. These Tropical Smoothie Cafe's have gone from good to bad. I'll be one less customer for them to have to deal with, thankfully. There were 3 other complaining customers in front of me! One for an overcharge(which customer was told to come back in 30 minutes?) and 2 for missing food items and incorrect orders and the employee looked very confused at how to correct the errors. I think people just left out of disgust. Owner, you need to get your butt in there and work with these employees during the busiest times of the day, so they'll know how to handle multiple complicated situations at once. I've been to all these establishments in the Columbia/Lexington area and this one is by a mile the absolutely worst one. Very slow service. The staff were not customer service friendly. Despite placing an order online ahead of time for curbside pickup (which has been heavily advertised), there is no marked space to park in. The staff did not have means fo handle the online order so I had to go in anyways. The total time to wait from placing the order was 30 minutes. 20 of that was waiting in the store. One polite server was working by herself(the other in the bathroom 15 mins while we waited.) When the 2nd server came out [slowly] she was busy jamming to her earbuds and talking while we all waited. I asked if our food was ready and she said, "yeah,almost" and turned to continue her conversation with the other worker. Then she gave us an incomplete order(no pressed sandwich), missing 3 waters. When I asked about the missing sandwich she said she'd make it. She then proceeded to finish another order. By the time she was ready to put my sandwich on the press, the smell of something burning was evident. It was the sandwich the first server had already put on the press! There were two people in line ahead of us when we arrived. We ordered three sandwiches and three waters. It took 35 minutes to get our correct order. The district manager of the tropical smoothies in the Columbia needs to do a better job... every tropical smoothie I've been to around in this area has done the same thing; I get an Island Green smoothie and ask to have ginger added to it, they then go ahead and assume I want the Island Green Detox. The island green detox taste like a diet island green (disgusting) and they give me it every time I simply ask to add ginger. They clearly don't know the difference between the two. As many workers they have they still run unnecessarily slows, because there workers seem to be well over their jobs there. The employees always look sad and that's they'd be elsewhere. I don't expect them to be happy to lucky workers but seeing them always looking agitated or under the weather at THREE different locations within the area shows there's something off with management. At a different tropical smoothie when I ordered through doordash I gave SPECIFIC instructions to add Ginger but NOT change it to the Island Green Detox.
