I had already scarfed 2 before i thought, I just have to stop eating to leave a Yelp review to say how thankful I am to have them so accessible and they have so many good different things! The tamales are chicken or green chili & cheese. I love the green chili & cheese tamales, myself, and they're pretty good sized too... The chicken are good if you're a meat eater, but the chili & cheese have a little "spice bite" to them and it's so dang tasty! (They're about $2.29 each or $12.50 for a half dozen. So worth it In my opinion.) I've never had one of those small little skinny ones, like ya get from some places, from them. The customer service at Hattie B's was fantastic and the food was amazing. I ordered the HOT at Hattie B's and it was enough to make my nose run and lips burn. At Prince's I ordered the 3 jumbo whole wings and they are big! I also got some cornbread and chose the medium spice level based on others reviews. At first I didn't think there was any spice at all because they pour a strip of the spiced oil down the center of the chicken wings which only covers about 50% of the chicken. So some bites are bland and other bites where you can clearly see the seasoning will light you up! The medium heat level here seemed hotter than the hot at Hattie B's. But it lacked the sweet, sugary balance that I was expecting. Both restaurants have super crispy, hot and fresh chicken. But the overall flavor and sides made Hattie B's shine through for me. Plus the customer service is night and day. Prince's staff is miserable and move in slow motion. We let the cashier know it was our first time trying them and she just looked away. We asked what her favorite thing on the menu was and she said the kid's meal. No recommendations, no smile, no service. Pathetic and sad. Certainly not something I'd pay for again. A solid 4 stars for the food, but in a market filled with tourists, they need to do better than this. We almost didn't try them based on similar reviews, but now we've experienced it first hand.
