I ordered avocado toast. I watched the toast in the toaster Just sit there and sit there and sit there. There was a guy who was just wondering around who apparently worked there, but didn't do anything. He literally was just walking around, not doing anything in the back. The lady who took my order was nice, but she seemed like she was doing most of the work and my toast still just sat there. She apologize for the wait, but there was no reason for the wait because the guy who was walking around aimlessly could have made my toast. Underwhelming to say the least. At $7 a piece, I was expecting a substantial meal replacement. Instead, I watched them throw in slimy frozen strawberries, squirt mystery something out of a container, and load it with ice. There were little bits of fresh mango, but hardly enough to have any real nutritional benefit. There's a good number of "enhancements" you can add to your drink - I'm not sure if they actually work, but I selected the "energy boost" which made my beverage super grainy. Me and my wife came into this smoothie king location today after working out at the Green Hills YMCA and i guess it must have been out lucky day because the owner/manager gave us a canister of Lean1 Fat Burning Meal Replacement for free! We were completely shocked and didnt expect something like this was going to happen. Im guessing sometimes being nice pays. They have a great product. And the worst attitude towards service. I waited for over 5 mins and never got acknowledged. So I asked 'is this where I order' the person pointed me to the long part of the counter. Stood around again for another 5 mins, never was acknowledged or asked for my order. Guess they don't need my business. So I left. This was the Harding Pike loc. read more

The smoothies are good but the service is lacking. The young red head that took our order is very unprofessional and to be honest, just mean. She has a very bad attitude toward customers using short answers and finger pointing with eye rolling and vocal noises. read more

THE WORST EXPERIENCE!! I had ordered two immune berry smoothies one with whey protein one without. The girl making the smoothie makes both in one container with a huge scoop of Whey. I told her I only asked for ONE with whey and she looked at me in the face and said the second one didn't have whey. I WATCHED HER PREPARE IT. she looked at me and lied straight to my face. She continues then hands me the second drink. I said I'm allergic to Whey are you sure this doesn't have whey it in this. She grabs it out of my hand throws in the trash. Continue to make me a new one. Now this could have all been avoided if she would have been honest. She was just to lazy to make two separate drinks. I've been going to smoothie kings across Nashville for several years. Love their smoothies. I was excited to hear they were putting one in the YMCA. This particular location lacks service and personality. I will say they have one gentleman there that is always friendly and acts like he isn't miserable. For the others not so much. Which I don't understand the hiring process when you're in the service industry hire for personality cause it's harder to train that. That being said may be harder to find those then said. To be more specific when we ordered the lady at the counter was taking her time which I didn't mind but she never looked up and kept typing on her screen then gave me a total and I said I was still ordering. That didn't bother me just yet. We added to our order and my wife raised up her hand with a few items and said we'll get this too. The lady at the counter said ok. Here is your total. I paid. And she said did you want those items too? Now I'm frustrated as she didn't ring it up all together and having to swipe my card again. Either way I know most of the employees are either high school or college kids which I can't be too upset but I'd just encourage vetting their hiring process out a bit. read more

When I lived in Chicago, Jamba Juice was my go-to smoothie joint. It definitely wasn't the best, but there was one a block away from my office building. When I moved here to find out there weren't any, I wasn't too pleased, having had numerous smoothie let downs at cafes before. Then Smoothie King happened. Faith restored. Jamba Juice, beware! I don't know what they do to these smoothies, but the few I've had are like crack. I usually opt for the small as a snack, but I always regret not getting a larger size. The prices are very reasonable, ingredients are fresh. My most recent visit was around 9:30 on a weekday morning, and there was hardly a line. The nice girl working was also patient with me as I read the list of fruits in every single drink before deciding what I wanted. My only regret is that there isn't one closer to my apartment. read more

Smoothie was good, but none of the four employees could be bothered to say hi to me. Stood for a few minutes while they ignored me until I finally asked "may I please order" and the employee closest didn't even respond. Finally one person asked if I wanted to order and told me I had to go wait on the other side of the counter. Really? There isn't anyone else in line! No thank you, no smile, no eye contact, just swiped my card and handed me a receipt. I was a server for five years, and interacting with customers is not only a crucial part of the food business, it's just proper manners and being a decent person.
