a pool in a screened enclosure

When we decided to build a pool, we had heard and read about every nightmare scenario that could happen. We interviewed 8 different companies and settled on Tropical. Right from the beginning I knew we made the right choice. Our salesman Jon, was amazing and got back to me quickly with every change and design change. Upon construction, Curtis has to be one the most communicative people in the industry. When building a pool that's really the most important thing because there are times when nothing is happening and you feel like you are being forgotten. Not with Tropical. If Curtis wasn't calling me, then he was picking up the phone to answer my questions. And, if he didn't have an answer (we had the screen company on delay because of illness) then he would get back to me ASAP. We couldn't be happier with Tropical and would recommend them to anyone. The work is unparalleled, and the pool looks beautiful.

Now there is a lot of amenities here at the aquatic center but the two big slides in the corner are little rocky. We decided to go down the waterslides when we first got there and noticed that both have flaws. There are wasp nests underneath the slides so you do see tons of wasp flying around. The swirl slide we took moves really slow so you have to push yourself at some point to keep moving forward down the slide. People were coming down quickly after you would get off the slides they got kind of close to landing in the water by us. The straight down slide you catch air midway, especially for a little kids you kinda stopped, touching the slide at one point. Now for the smaller kid area it was perfect for my five year old. They had little slides over there and even a medium kid slide as soon as you walk up nice splash pad a lot more slow pace and relaxing. they do have lifejackets there if needed for children. They also have a café where they serve Domino's Pizza and other snacks and drink options which we did get some Gatorade's and a whole Domino's Pizza, and for the price it wasn't bad.

The equipment is there, sure, but half of it looks like it's been through a few natural disasters. Dumbbells scattered around like someone yelled "every man for himself," machines squeaking like haunted house props, and cardio equipment that should come with a prayer instead of a start button. The locker rooms? Imagine a middle school bathroom after dodgeball, except you're paying for the privilege. Showers that smell like regret, lockers that may or may not lock, and towels thinner than conspiracy theories. Staff is hit or miss. Some are friendly, most look like they're one membership complaint away from walking out. And don't even get me started on the "personal trainers" who seem more interested in texting than training. Two stars because it's still a gym. You can technically lift weights and sweat here. But if you're looking for inspiration, motivation, or even basic cleanliness, look elsewhere.

Urban Project Management - Kitchen renovation

I have to agree with the negative reviews. I am currently suing Jered and UPM. I hired them to do a…read morerenovation of my entire house -- turning a 4-bdrm/2.5 bath into a 3/2.... new bathrooms, new kitchen, doubling the size of the Family Room, upgrading all the windows, etc. After we signed the Contract, he very quickly gutted the entire house (a milestone that triggered another payment), and then everything stalled. Two years later, I got a phone call, "Have you heard? Jered closed down the company, and he is in his way to the airport. He's going to Europe for 3 weeks or so." I was livid! He didn't answer when I called. Finally, he sent a text apologizing. (For taking my money and leaving me with an empty shell?) I have found another Contractor, and they are on track to complete the renovation in 6-7 months (which includes fixing the things UPM did incorrectly). And, I found a great lawyer. We filed a Civil complaint, and Jered never bothered to reply. So, it saves us having to go to Court. We now just need a judge to sign off on it and approve our requested settlement. Jered claims he will just file bankruptcy and not pay back any of what he took from me. If he does that, I will be filing a Criminal Fraud case against him -- if I win, he loses his license AND faces jail time. (With all the phony Contractors ripping-off people who are trying to recover after 2 hurricanes -- the Florida legal system is not going easy on Contractors who take money, but do not deliver on their promises.)

As someone who worked first hand with Urban Project and Jered Snelson himself, I want to first…read moreadvise to in no way hire this company and second, go check Pinellas County Liens. This man will charge you an unreasonable amount and take your money, hire mediocre contractors and take YEARS to not even come close to completion of a project. We hired Urban Projects to add a 480 sq ft. master suit onto our home due to adding an additional member (our son) to our family. We had an understood timeline that had a sense of urgency due to not having enough bedrooms for my husband and I, my daughter and our soon to be born, son. We hired Urban in August of 2021. We were told 8 months to complete our addition. They didn't break ground until December of 2021.....this should have been our first warning! Months would go by with not a worker in site. I was constantly calling and texting for updates.... that were promised "next week" "they will be there tomorrow" "they plan on coming Monday"..... No one ever showed up when promised. What they did do is show up unannounced when they needed to get into our home or someone needed to be there to approve what was being done. Both my husband and I work full time. Urban was made aware of this on day one. Constantly told to alert us when they would need us and we would make arrangements to be there. Never happened. When contractors did show up, they would leave mounds of trash in our front yard for weeks to months at a time. Since a dumpster was never supplied but was a fee that was included in our contract (dumpster on site). Our home was a construction site for 2 YEARS!!!!!!!! This addition still sits un-finished. The selling point for us when we hired Urban was that there would be constant communication as they had an "app" that constant updates would be provided throughout the process. In the 2 years..... the only thing that was ever updated in that app was when he wanted money! Jered, had the audacity to place a lien on our home for 15k for a project he NEVER FINISHED!!!!! If you search on Pinellas County public record liens you will see this has become a common trend for Jered. Which you would think would raise flags against him. Especially since a lot of the projects are not large projects that have a start date a year from what HE "claims" was a finish date. It should not take a year for minor renovations in a home. He falsified information on the lien he hand wrote for our project. The amount he was charging us was outside of our contract amount for what we agreed upon for a FINISHED addition. Which we never got!! This man is a FRAUD!!! He cannot keep anyone on staff except Fernando and his wife Kali. I'm unsure how anyone can work for someone who is as awful as this man is! Jered was just recently found guilty in a law suit from another victim of his fraud! Owed to pay 32k. Do not believe his "5-star reviews" as these come from personal friends of his! Stay FAR FAR FAR AWAY! This experience was the most painful 2 years of our life!
