Outstanding Emergency Service and Quick Response!…read more We had an unexpected HVAC emergency on a Sunday morning and needed help before the problem caused further damage. Our neighbor alerted us that our outdoor HVAC unit was making a loud noise while the fan was running. When we investigated, it appeared that a snake had become caught in the unit (see photos). We first contacted the HVAC company where we have a maintenance plan, but they couldn't send a technician until Monday afternoon. Since we were concerned about the potential for further damage, we wanted the problem addressed as soon as possible. Based on recommendations from friends and neighbors, we called Family Air Conditioning & Heating around 9:30 a.m. Someone answered promptly and was able to dispatch a technician that same morning. We were given an arrival window of 9:30-11:30 a.m. and received a text confirmation along with a photo and background information about our technician, Ricky. Even better, Ricky arrived within 30 minutes of our call! Ricky was knowledgeable, thorough, and professional. He explained what he was doing throughout the process. After removing the snake's head from the top of the HVAC unit, he thoroughly cleaned the fan blades and vacuumed the bottom of the unit, where the remaining parts of the snake's body were located. He also checked for potential electrical damage. We were extremely pleased with Family Air Conditioning & Heating's responsiveness, especially on a Sunday, and the quality of the technical service we received on such short notice. When you're dealing with an unexpected problem and are concerned about possible damage to an expensive piece of equipment, having someone respond quickly and take the time to do the job thoroughly makes all the difference. We highly recommend Family Air Conditioning & Heating, and we especially appreciate Ricky for his excellent service. We would absolutely call them again!

After one and a half hours, I called back to let them know I did not need their service. My neighbor was able to help me the following morning. I get a text at 10:30 PM Saturday evening, saying my technician had arrived. I was not home and I quickly texted back saying I had canceled the service call. I had a contract with them to check on my system every six months. Well, they never checked anything of importance since the Freon was extremely low, and there was a buildup of bacterial gunk that was never cleaned out. I have canceled my contract with them and want to warn other customers to make sure they do their job since they did not do that for me.

Accurate was very acomodating and squeezed me into their schedule. I was so impressed that they are my new preferred vendor. I own two condos and have been able to interact with several of their techs, who have all been knowledgeable, timely and pleasant. In case you didn't know, some hvac companies give bonuses to techs for selling parts or whole new AC units, but Accurate does not! This gives me a level of comfort that I won't waste money getting unnecessary work done on my unit. I did purchase their service contract because it is affordable and helps to ensure that the unit is maintained and clean. I would recommend checking into it. I usually order filters online because big box stores don't stock my size, but ran out last month. I stopped into Accurate's office on Marco to see about buying one. Not only was one of the owners there and very friendly, they stocked my special order size - and they were a much better quality than I had and at a very fair price. Thanks Accurate!

Our previous contractor was too busy last year to provide an estimate for replacement AC, so we reached out to Accurate. Very pleased with initial contact, sales, installation, and service last year when replacing our home AC. Today, we had a mini-split system installed, and again a very pleasant experience--system completed as promised and for the estimate quoted. The technicians were friendly, efficient, and a pleasure to have around the house. We're happy to have found this local business!

WE own a rental home in Marco Island. Living in CT, it is sometimes a challenge to keep up with…read morework that needs to be done in Marco. We have a wonderful management company who actually recommended Service Professionals about 3 years ago. Our management company is very particular so I assumed if they liked SP...so would I. We have signed up for maintenance contracts (as I do with many of my CT systems). I have found Chuck for knowledgeable and he has been more than helpful and fair in the past. So that brings us to this year. Over the last year or so our house has been 'humid' and each time we show up it smells musty. We had done some trouble shooting ourselves but each time we went back back down...we still weren't happy. So when we went down in October we decided to really focus on this issue so we specially asked SP to chase it down. They did almost immediately. They gave us a couple of options and helped us make what we all think is a good decision. To make it tough, we only had a 2 week window before our rental system kicked into full mode and SP promised (and delivered) to get the entire job (duct work replacement being the biggest piece of it) done before our Nov 2 deadline. During the estimate phase and the work phase (and ever afterwards as I continued to have a question or two) I was in touch with Chuck. He has spent a lot of time and patience educating me. I would definitely recommend.

First off, let me say a few good things about Service Professionals. Their team is very neat and…read morepolite. If you have a problem, the owner will be the first to contact you and come out to ensure your problem is rectified. I have no complaints about their capabilities of caring for AC systems, they are very knowledgeable. What I would like to share is a word of caution in signing a Service Agreement. Last winter we signed a one year agreement with SP. A week after signing our AC went out. Chuck came over immediately and diagnosed the problem as a pinched wire, which he said likely happened while he guys were servicing the unit, and he did not charge. He also put a few plastic caps on the unit that had apparently gotten lost at some point. Fast forward six months, I never heard from SP to schedule their 2nd service call. After 8 months I still had not heard from them. I decided to change the filters myself. When I pulled out the old filters I found one of them partially sucked up into the ductwork. There were no cardboard frames on any of the filters. Whether this is normal or not I don't know, but a frame would have prevented the filter from getting sucked into the ductwork. Photos attached. For the past 4-5 years we have had issues with mold growing on our pocket doors. I have always brought this to the attention of the teams who come to service our a/c. No one has ever been able to tell me why this happens. We also have large droplets of condensation hanging from the air vents in some areas. Again, no one has ever been able to provide an explanation. Out of frustration with the mold and condensation I decided to put some calls out to other a/c companies. When they went into the attic and removed the cover from the handler they found it covered in mold. Surprised, they asked when I'd last had the a/c serviced. I replied that it had been about 8 months ago, and I was told that this growth had occurred most likely over years, not months. In addition, the coil appeared in desperate need of a cleaning. Again, I attach photos. A good a/c service call out should take a good hour and a half I'm told. Not 30 minutes. There is more to a good call than changing the filters and clearing the pipes. I cannot say that this is entirely SP's fault, it is not. Had I known what to look for I would have requested, and asked to see the cleaned system. Prior to SP I had another local company "servicing" the system, and I fully believe these problems began years ago - long before I signed on with SP. My discouragement is that these problems were not caught, and also that I signed, and paid for an agreement up front. Chuck, SP's owner, tells me that it was my job to call him to ask them to come out and service the unit. I am a busy lady. If I pay in advance for something I consider my half of the bargain complete. I expect the company to put me on their calendar and follow up with me! I don't have the time of day to chase people around and remind them of what they should be doing. At any rate, I've hired another company to service my a/c. It has been scheduled well in advance. If they don't show up I won't stick with them either. Chuck tells me I am not entitled to a refund, and that if he were to refund the missed visit he would then charge me for unpinching the wire he told me his man had inadvertently pinched. My only suggestion is that you beware when signing a service agreement. Learn from my mistake. Ask them to schedule your 2nd visit immediately upon signing. Ask to see the work they've done. If you can't see your unit, ask them to photograph it and show you the photos. Ask them to clean your coil. Ask to see the filters before they install them. Hopefully someone will benefit from this review. Chuck has threatened legal action against me for posting. Again, they have a good team, and Chuck is very knowledgeable, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, I would just caution you to be equally as knowledgeable when dealing with your a/c calls!

A few weeks ago my upstairs A/C was being examined at the start of its semi-annual checkup. The associate notified me that the air handler in the attic was dropping its insulation from within, and this would create a problem with continuing the standard semi-annual checkup. This necessitated scheduling an associate on a different day to basically rebuild the air handler. Understandably this was a long project through the day but was completed to our satisfaction. QUALITY: The different associates whom we have seen over a long period of time have been exceptionally professional and courteous. VALUE: Everyone decides what they describe as value. For us it's the confidence that our A/C units will work through the summer and winter year after year. Having a service agreement gives us that peace of mind. SUMMARY: These people have demonstrated exceptional courtesy (every phone call is a new pleasant greeting, every time). One has to have trust in the service people with whom they do business. For me, these people are very highly recommended.
