We were greeted by one of the owners who brought us to our booth. He asked if the location was fine for us. We thanked him, and immediately our server arrived and introduced himself. We thanked him (so sorry can't remember his name but he looked like a handsome very young Desi Arnaz - Lucille Ball's former husband). Throughout the whole dining experience he and the backup staff were ever attentive and accommodating. We were there around 3PM on Saturday July 25th. The sun was so bright and shining on our eyes. We asked if they could lower the shades on the front windows. Our "Desi" was quick to have the shades lowered and he asked us if they were lowered enough! Now that is quality service adding to our dining experience. The friendly staff were all full of smiles who made us feel like we were special guests. The food was excellent. I had three tacos and two were ones I've never seen on a menu. My husband and two friends enjoyed their dishes too. I highly recommend these three yummy soft tacos: 1) Taco De Pescado Baja, $5 - Battered Fish 2) Taco Pulpo Enchilado, $8 - Cheesy Spicy Octopus . New to me 3) Taco Governador, $8 - Cheesy Shrimp - We've had shrimp tacos before but never a cheesy one. The cocktails are delicious and they offer a good variety. It would be nice if they offered a pitcher of margaritas and/or other cocktail specials. We would have indulged in another round of cocktails but they are a bit pricey. Maybe consider bringing them down a buck or two. We are giving Puerto Nuevo five stars despite the excessively loud background music. It is not as offensive as the Freedom Brothers' Rock and Roll Pizza and Bar in Naperville where you have to shout across the table but still we had to speak louder than normal.
