Booked through Expedia. We came for a week. We conquered. Our unit was 602. At first, the peeling paint in the tub and on the balcony, as well as the water heater in the closet made me think we were in for a difficult stay. Nothing could be further from the truth. We loved our stay here. And honestly, for the price, it was easy to overlook some of the disrepair. Pros Easy access to beach Very very clean facility (yes, two verys) Stunning ocean views Clean pool and spa Walking distance to restaurants Grills available to BBQ Friendly housekeeping staff Kitchen fully stocked with everything you need! Did I mention how clean the fridge and stove were? Veteran parking! (Thank you for your service) Cons Maintenance staff was a little grumpy Pool/spa closes at dusk. Old man Smithers (maintenance) will stare angrily until you leave. (Other guests come back after he leaves for the day, we did not) Pool bathrooms are basically in the gym bathroom. They are no where near the pool. No in room laundry, but for about $5 a load there is a washer and dryer on the 5th floor. It is a timeshare, so they will try to get you to attend their presentation. (We did not) On Wednesday we remarked at how wonderful it was to sit on the couch listening to the waves, and how quiet it was...NEVER say that. Thursday night we got new neighbors who could not figure out how to close their door without slamming it, played loud music and talked over the loud music. We took a day trip Friday to get away from the noise, but someone must have complained because they were quiet Friday night. If you're not Daddy Warbucks, this is a wonderful place to spend a few days. read more

My family had a nice stay here. It was very quiet on this end of the beach, all the staff were amazingly accommodating, and the beach itself was nice. The rooms were clean and we did have a plumbing issue but staff got it resolved very quickly. I would recommend Tropic Sun Tours. read more

Very nice and comfortable facility. Still in renovation process. Our view was beautiful. Front desk gal was very friendly and explained things well. I wish the bedroom was hearing distance away to hear the waves to calm our sleeping. All in all, I would stay again. read more

We enjoyed our vacation at Ormond Beach! It has a smaller beach vibe. but the tourism of Daytona Beach is very close. Tropic Sun Tower is an older condo that is being renovated. It's not super fancy, but clean and met all our needs. Linen exchange was nice- no one wants to do laundry on vacation. Only negative would be basement parking garage and basement garage entry/bathroom to the pool and pool bathrooms. read more

We had a wonderful week here. Clean and quiet with a fantastic view and great amenities at a reasonable rate. We walked the beach just outside the door and borrowed beach chairs boogie boards and bikes. We recommend Tropic Sun Towers with 5 stars. read more

I have been an owner since 1998. It's had its ups and downs (weather mostly). But it's a clean well cared for place. We like it. Just been sad that the hurricane year before last caused there to be too much work and not enough workers to get the pool up and running. Hard to come without the pool. read more

I would rate this 0. NOT HAPPY. We had some one call us after we booked and told us they had no amenities available do to the 2022 hurricane. So I canceled my Res. and ask for a refund. They have not given my money back. It's not fare. read more

This property has newly renovated rooms on floors 1-3-7. Don't expect a pool or beach access. This property hasn't recovered from the 2022 hurricanes. The staff maintains a clean atmosphere and the laundry service gal is one of the nicest employees we interfaced with during our stay January 2023. read more

Very clean. Ocean view from balcony. Beach was clean. Even has a ice cream truck that rides up and down the beach. Nice pool, shuffle board and corn hole . The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to cook. Stores and Walmart were close by for all our needs. Great for family and those of us that are a little older. Very much recommend! Great location! Rooms are on the small side, but nice. Kitchen has everything you need. Watching the sunrise sipping my coffee from my balcony was amazing. The downside is you have to check everything out of the office. For example you have to check out a key to get in and out of the gym. The office is in a different building. Even the beach towels you have to check in and out of the office. It's just a pain. The staff is super friendly and is helpful with handing out recommendations for local restaurants and things to do. The beach is a driving beach which has its pros and cons. I would definitely stay here again and bring my own beach towels. read more

I have only personally been here a couple times for a short time while I visit my Parents; however my parents stay here for several months each year. They have made friends with the staff and really enjoy the place. On a good note they are currently going through renovations, there are 2 towers so one is currently closed for renovations, the newly renovated rooms look a lot nicer and are more current. If you go there defiantly try to get a new unit! read more

First time in Daytona Florida and we were enjoy staying here. The room was nice and cleaned with full kitchen and sharp knives that I could cook with it. My room was a balcony view. It was great to see the wave and the sky everyday. At night time we saw the moon rises up above the ocean and it brightened up everything which help you see more clearly the beauty of the beach. We stayed here for 7 days and kept our room cleaned ob our own as the part of our stay as a time shares vacation house. They will give you free toilet paper, clean new bathroom towels,more pillows, blanket, dishes soap as requested. Only things they would charges for its paper towels for kitchens at 67 cent each which would be cheaper to go get one at the store after my researching. They have good amounts of set of the dishes, glasses, coffee mugs and utensils plenty for everyone. Easy access from the underground parking through the building. They provided you the cart for your belongings, no needed to carry anything yourself. Staff members were very friendly, we were here on Chris morning and they assigned my 4 years old a present which was very helpful to made her Christmas morning day special. A+++ to recommend this place for your next vacation trip in Daytona. You can drive to Orlando in a bit over than an hour for the great deal price wise. It was very quiet at night giving you a very peaceful night of relaxation. They have swimming pool and a hot tub next to the beach. They also have a gym room and shuffle board game for everyone who love to do the activities. Definitely, would love to come back again. read more

Room was clean and I loved that they provided dishes, pots, and other kitchen utensils. Had an amazing view of the ocean and the pool was very refreshing and there was barely anyone at the pool or the beach during my stay which was nice because it felt so private. Well placed location wise, all of the Daytona fun is close while still far enough way that it's not crowded. Grocery stores and shopping very close and I love that they have underground parking, kept my car cool so it wasn't a hot box. Only issue I ran into was that the hot water in my room was awful, literally would be the shower 5 minutes and it would go from scolding hot to ice water. And too HOURS to heat back up. And vacationing as a family of four that made things hard so we had to take a lot of cold showers. Other than that though I enjoyed my stay. read more

I would give it a 0 out of 5. The rooms were tiny and there was no way to the beach directly from the rooms. We had to walk all the way around the block just to get somewhere 20 feet in front of us. No pool access either. No amenities, and not even a washer or dryer. The workers were not caring at all. Cost too much for how bad it was. read more

Didn't get a chance to stay here because when I called today ( 11/14 ) at 4:21pm the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude! She kept rushing me off the phone! I only had 3 questions and after the first question she was trying to rush me off the phone. They were not crazy questions!!! Just trying to get an idea for the hotel! How far from the beach etc. After the second question she tried to hang up on me. I was just asking if they had a pool and was it heated and if they have a hot tub and was it working. Some places do repairs at this time of year. It was a legitimate question. I never got the chance to ask the third question because after she tried to hangup I told her I had another question and why was she trying to hangup on me and she said she was trying to check people in. Umm that's great and all but my questions, had they been answered without attitude, would have literally taken 30 seconds. Anyone can wait 30 seconds! For that matter put me on hold for a minute while you finish!!!!!' This woman obviously has poor customer service skills! When I called back and asked for a manager I was told by the same woman that the manager was unavailable and that she was the only person there. When I asked for the manager's email she literally said "this is my email" hahaha! I said " no, I would like your manager's email". Then she recited her own again. To the management of this establishment please do yourself a favor and have several friends call while this woman is working and see how horribly unprofessional she is for yourself!!!! Just checked out and was one of the best weeks ever. we loved the 1st floor to walk right out back patio to beach and the clean spacious rooms. Wouldn't change any thing other than checkout time is way too early 10am. we are now back at the resort and it is feb 2014 we love it so much read more

It is a great, clean place to stay that is right on the water. Loved that you could rent chairs, boogie boards and bikes for a very low fee. And the mid week tidy up with new towels and sheets was an added bonus. I'd stay here again. read more
