Roaches, outdated gym, broken hotub, and unfriendly staff should cover about half of it! Had a 2 day weekend staycation planned but checked out ASAP. Thankfully, booked through Expedia and got a full refund.

No hot water period! Was told had beach front view but had a bad room . Door lock was broken wouldn't let you in half the time. Vending machines down the whole time. No breakfast this shouldn't even be a half a star so called lodge

A place for fun and relaxation

I have been displaced from my house since last October because of hurricane Milton wrecking it and this is the place where I have been staying since then. The owners and management here have been so kind, I wouldn't have survived without them . Not only them but the very friendly and helpful staff go above and beyond! It's a resort type with two swimming pools, one inside and heated! There's also a large jacuzzi, plenty of deck chairs and lounges set up, a cool tiki bar during the season and it's just a fun place all year round! You can't beat the view, it's directly ocean front with plenty of beach to enjoy. And I have not met a single guest who isn't friendly and loving it here. But none more than me! It has been like a gift from God to be here and sit on the balcony watching the Atlantic and being reminded that there is still good in this world. My heart felt thanks to all who have made my stay so welcoming. God's blessings on you all! I suppose I should say that it has a full kitchen and bathrooms with a tub and shower. Big beds and big fluffy pillows. The housekeeping staff will check on what you might need every day and restock the amenities, change the beds and bring you as many fresh towels as you want. Even clean the big windows for your view! And it's been my experience that they all will do everything you need until you are satisfied.

Mold

Bathroom was gross. Mold all over the tiles. General smell in the room wasnt pleasant. Broken lamp switch, outlet didn't work. Plus side, beds were comfortable.

The sign and some fine Nordic kitsch.

I was pretty impressed. A fun, family-oriented, beach motel with a charming and unique Viking theme. A number of the Daytona Beach motels have Polynesian or other tropical themes this was a bit of a twist. But it works it's a fun place they have an indoor pool and hot tub beach access plus an outdoor pool and a convenient location. I don't know if my first floor room was representative of most of the bedrooms it was quite small but had a huge king-size bed, maybe even a California king, and the bathroom was tiny, but had been remodeled not too long ago and the remodel job was superb. As my photos here attest, the bed area itself was furnished in a tropical motif that was perfect for the environment I really liked their color choices and despite its small size room is quite functional and very clean. I have to say in all honesty the beach access area and yard area at the Aku Tiki Inn which I have stayed at also I liked better because it was larger and just a little bit nicer but certainly the beachfront and the small grassy lawn here would suffice. Certainly recommend this Motel to families asbthe price was reasonable and I think they also have organized activities for kids during the day.

We love this place! We have stayed every July for the past 5-6 years. Met families that, like us, keep coming back every year. Friendly, family atmosphere with games like bingo and outdoor movies for the kids, wonderful beach. KEEP IN MIND this place is NOT for everyone. Family-friendly means there will be kids going down the water slide, jumping in the pool. And some of the rooms are in the motel half with doors facing the parking lot, basketball court, and pool which means there is a potential for noise. If you are expecting the Ritz, pick another place. If you want a reasonably priced, caring staff, super kid/family friendly stay, this is your place!

Roach on charger

Our friend booked this hotel for Biketober fest for us. The place had no hot water and when I called they said let it run the water comes from the 8th floor. Also we got up in the am to find a roach camping out on our charger. The room was around $300 they refunded $50 d/t the roach situation. It should've been free. This room was extremely overpriced. Will not be back and I'm sure all the people in our group will not return. This is the first time I seen a roach in an establishment that hosts overnight guests.

New owner

The staff deserves 5 stars but the new owners earn zero so far. We are not impressed. Head up families, new bosses in town and they intend to change things. Grills are going away by July 2022. They want to put in a bar in. Not a great idea when lots of kids are hanging around on deck. This is supposed to be a FAMILY/ FRIENDLY place, not the ritz. If we wanted a fancy hotel, hot tub, etc. we'd be somewhere else. Not here. We like it being down to earth and being able to let the kids have fun and parents relaxing by the poolside. We know your staff by name. Ron, Amy, Tre, etc. are amazing. You roll up in your fancy Lamborghini and are messing with a good thing. You a very disliked by a lot of returning costumers/ families.

This hotel was right across the street from Ocean Center where we would be headed the next morning. The hotel was massive having a south and north tower with 16 floors on each side. My roommate and I were ocean front on the 12th floor, nearly in the middle of the south tower. WOW, what a view! I didn't realize until arriving to the room there was no balcony. However, you could open a regular size sliding door to see and hear the ocean. There were bars like a balcony in front of the sliding door but you could only step out one foot on the tiny platform. I left the door open while I was reading and it was so peaceful to hear the ocean;) Parking was nearly two blocks away on the opposite side of the street and across the street from the entrance of Ocean Center behind a barbecue restaurant. This was a bit of a pain pulling the luggage that far. Plus you had to go up a steep incline to get into the lobby. I could have paid an extra $20 for parking overnight if I had used the hotels valet service. No thanks lol! We did get a discount for the parking lot because we were attending the conference. Instead of $35 it was $20 (with taxes $23). The hotel was a little dated. The light over the sink flickered. But did stop after the light was on for a little bit. The beds however were up to the Hilton standard as well as the pillows, nice and comfortable. I shared the room with a friend from church. I liked the feature of having an extra sink and mirror outside the bathroom. There was a mini fridge but no microwave. The desk chair needed replaced as the seat was very worn in. Service at the front desk was friendly and they helped answer all my questions about parking. It was a little confusing because you didn't have a ticket and I couldn't figure out how I would get out of the lot when the conference was over the next day. But the front desk attendant advised they would have someone at the exit gate to open it when the conference let out. And they did;) Thanks for a comfortable night's sleep Hilton! I would stay here again if attending a conference that included a discount code as this hotel was pretty pricey.

The location was perfect, on the beach and directly across the street from the Ocean Center where the graduation ceremony was to take place. However, this hotel has definitely seen much better days! The furnishings were tattered, the toilet made this loud ear-splitting sound when flushed, and the windows probably have not been cleaned in ages. We paid just under $630 for an ocean view room for 2 nights with taxes and fees, including a $35 a night parking in an uncovered lot across the street. I expected better from a Hilton property! This is one of those "one and done" hotels for us. I don't mind paying a decent chunk of change if the accommodations warrant it, but this place does not.

When we arrived, I went in and spoke with Nastassia, who informed me they did have availability, so I went ahead and book a room from the 9th through the 13th. The first thing I noticed is the total price she indicated was more than the website with taxes and fees. I was given a Veteran Discount and entered my rewards number, which may or may not assist in free stays in the future, but the overall amount still was above the quote on the website. She gave us a free upgrade to a kitchenette room, which was cool and my wife and I went to the room. While there, we requested plates and silverware and was informed they would be putting it together for us stating they would ensure it was sanitized and ready for use. When it arrived, it was not very clean. Not to say it hadn't been cleaned at one point in time, but instead had sat somewhere unused for a while and was just thrown in a large Tupperware bin and not rinsed off again. Everything seemed fine; however, early veterans day morning, we were awoken by construction on the floor above us, before 9 am. Ann, the desk clerk seemed disinterested in our complaint, so we just went about our day. On that same morning after getting ready to head out antiquing, we both noticed tiny little bugs in the bathroom sink, kitchen and table. I couldn't really say if they were bed bugs, because we have never seen them before, but they looked to be very tiny ants. Later that evening, while watching tv in bed, I realize I was being bitten and notified the front desk who moved us to another room, where we stayed for the remainder of our time there. Nastassia was at the front desk at that time and decided to provide us with two free breakfasts for our last two mornings, which was good; however, even when in their dining area, we noticed the little bugs there on the tables. Before heading out on our final day, I decided despite the breakfasts provided to speak with the manager regarding the issues we've had. At first, he asked if we had left our sliding balcony door open, which we did not, because of the very loud surf sound and then asked if we went to the beach, which I again replied no, because the hotel literally sits right on the beach and twice a day, the surf crashes against the walls and in some places comes up onto the pool area, where they have cones indicating the water hazard. This to me seemed as if he was trying to blame us for their lack of cleanliness and pest control at their "resort". Either way, he removed the resort fees from our bill, which saved us the price of a full day, but again, still did not equate to the amount quoted for staying on their website. That evening, our tv internet went out for over an hour. They did send a maintenance person, who fiddled around with the tv, as if we touched something and caused the issue ourselves. Finally, as if the roar of the surf in the back wasn't enough, the hotel sits right off the main road and you can hear every loud car, motorcycle and emergency vehicle for miles. When we were moved from room 609 to 509, the front door started a high pitch howl early in the morning, because the wind picked up, which we attributed to the water proof seal on the door needing to be replaced. When mentioning it upon exit, the male desk clerk stated he would let someone know, but again seemed disinterested in the complaint. When went took them up on the free breakfasts, bar tender/server in the dining area was very cordial and efficient; however, the toast they served arrived soggy, both times. All and all, I can say this was the absolute worst stay I have ever had and recommend you choose another newer hotel in the area.
