I travel for work and I personally rely on yelp for reviews... so here it is.. Great location- love the oceanview- right on the water. Room is large- has a fridge, stove, extra sink and small two seat table if you'd like to eat in the room. Balcony is decent size. Here's the con- Cleanliness is... somewhat questionable. At the end of the day- cleanliness is huge for me especially on the beds. Sheets look clean. The fuzzy blanket - is questionable as their material catches things like hair/ Although it may be washed. I found some hair all over the blanket so I disregarded it without hesitation as I just don't take the chance. Bathroom is where it got me. Hair all over the wall and a little bit in the sink. YOU CANNOT MISS ALL OF THE HAIR on the wall and where the soup holder is. I do not have that hair type or hair color so it's 10000000% not mine. 3 starts for location- I hope this is a miss. They are fully booked so I'm screwed.... It'll be okay for a few days.... Thank god for Clorox wipes. If you don't bring some during your travel trips- definitely do so!! Here's your sign!

We stayed here in an ocean view and the room was amazing. The pool area was great and plenty of chairs. I wish that the breakfast area was finished but the coffee was still good. One older lady at front desk was not always pleasant but we just smiled and kept moving. I recommend this place but I would prefer a Tiki Bar for the poolside.

5th floor view amazing

Impeccable service great view of the beach. Came in from Atlanta and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Will be coming back. It was perfect in its location and I love my morning workout on the beach so it was a great match. Loved it.

Not a bad way to start the day off in Daytona. 6th floor Nautilus Inn

Stayed her a few times now, always been a great experience and I would stay here again. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment as there really isn't one, just a couple muffins and coffee vs the full breakfast they have had in the past. The lack of the breakfast alone is what's keeping it from 5 stars for me, just because I know they have offered it in the past.

Ask the Community - Nautilus Inn

Hi I have booked flights and car to Daytona beach in October. I'm looking at accommodations and for some reason I keep coming back to Nautilus. I will be there with my four year old daughter. Is this a comfortable spot?

We went with my 7 & 2 year old they had a great time. At happy hour they even gave them shirley temples so they felt included!

This hotel was right across the street from Ocean Center where we would be headed the next morning. The hotel was massive having a south and north tower with 16 floors on each side. My roommate and I were ocean front on the 12th floor, nearly in the middle of the south tower. WOW, what a view! I didn't realize until arriving to the room there was no balcony. However, you could open a regular size sliding door to see and hear the ocean. There were bars like a balcony in front of the sliding door but you could only step out one foot on the tiny platform. I left the door open while I was reading and it was so peaceful to hear the ocean;) Parking was nearly two blocks away on the opposite side of the street and across the street from the entrance of Ocean Center behind a barbecue restaurant. This was a bit of a pain pulling the luggage that far. Plus you had to go up a steep incline to get into the lobby. I could have paid an extra $20 for parking overnight if I had used the hotels valet service. No thanks lol! We did get a discount for the parking lot because we were attending the conference. Instead of $35 it was $20 (with taxes $23). The hotel was a little dated. The light over the sink flickered. But did stop after the light was on for a little bit. The beds however were up to the Hilton standard as well as the pillows, nice and comfortable. I shared the room with a friend from church. I liked the feature of having an extra sink and mirror outside the bathroom. There was a mini fridge but no microwave. The desk chair needed replaced as the seat was very worn in. Service at the front desk was friendly and they helped answer all my questions about parking. It was a little confusing because you didn't have a ticket and I couldn't figure out how I would get out of the lot when the conference was over the next day. But the front desk attendant advised they would have someone at the exit gate to open it when the conference let out. And they did;) Thanks for a comfortable night's sleep Hilton! I would stay here again if attending a conference that included a discount code as this hotel was pretty pricey.

The location was perfect, on the beach and directly across the street from the Ocean Center where the graduation ceremony was to take place. However, this hotel has definitely seen much better days! The furnishings were tattered, the toilet made this loud ear-splitting sound when flushed, and the windows probably have not been cleaned in ages. We paid just under $630 for an ocean view room for 2 nights with taxes and fees, including a $35 a night parking in an uncovered lot across the street. I expected better from a Hilton property! This is one of those "one and done" hotels for us. I don't mind paying a decent chunk of change if the accommodations warrant it, but this place does not.

Pros: -Balconies that overlook the ocean -Close to some shops and restaurants (short driving distance) -Pool (note it goes over 10 feet deep, so if traveling with littles, please be extra cautious) -On site restaurant and bar Cons: -The building is not in prime condition and desperately needs a face lift -The rooms are very standard -Weather stripping on our door was almost nonexistent, allowing this loud whistling sound constantly unless you put a towel at the bottom of the door. -Water pressure? "what you talkin' bout smalls". A quick 10-15 minute shower was extended because the lack of pressure. -The onsite restaurant is mediocre (specific review of it posted directly on it's page) -Daily housekeeping advertised, but we were skipped and had to ask for fresh towels The front desk staff had a mix of good and bad. Some suffered from RBF and the inability to smile, while others were great with greeting and showing you were welcome.

When we arrived, I went in and spoke with Nastassia, who informed me they did have availability, so I went ahead and book a room from the 9th through the 13th. The first thing I noticed is the total price she indicated was more than the website with taxes and fees. I was given a Veteran Discount and entered my rewards number, which may or may not assist in free stays in the future, but the overall amount still was above the quote on the website. She gave us a free upgrade to a kitchenette room, which was cool and my wife and I went to the room. While there, we requested plates and silverware and was informed they would be putting it together for us stating they would ensure it was sanitized and ready for use. When it arrived, it was not very clean. Not to say it hadn't been cleaned at one point in time, but instead had sat somewhere unused for a while and was just thrown in a large Tupperware bin and not rinsed off again. Everything seemed fine; however, early veterans day morning, we were awoken by construction on the floor above us, before 9 am. Ann, the desk clerk seemed disinterested in our complaint, so we just went about our day. On that same morning after getting ready to head out antiquing, we both noticed tiny little bugs in the bathroom sink, kitchen and table. I couldn't really say if they were bed bugs, because we have never seen them before, but they looked to be very tiny ants. Later that evening, while watching tv in bed, I realize I was being bitten and notified the front desk who moved us to another room, where we stayed for the remainder of our time there. Nastassia was at the front desk at that time and decided to provide us with two free breakfasts for our last two mornings, which was good; however, even when in their dining area, we noticed the little bugs there on the tables. Before heading out on our final day, I decided despite the breakfasts provided to speak with the manager regarding the issues we've had. At first, he asked if we had left our sliding balcony door open, which we did not, because of the very loud surf sound and then asked if we went to the beach, which I again replied no, because the hotel literally sits right on the beach and twice a day, the surf crashes against the walls and in some places comes up onto the pool area, where they have cones indicating the water hazard. This to me seemed as if he was trying to blame us for their lack of cleanliness and pest control at their "resort". Either way, he removed the resort fees from our bill, which saved us the price of a full day, but again, still did not equate to the amount quoted for staying on their website. That evening, our tv internet went out for over an hour. They did send a maintenance person, who fiddled around with the tv, as if we touched something and caused the issue ourselves. Finally, as if the roar of the surf in the back wasn't enough, the hotel sits right off the main road and you can hear every loud car, motorcycle and emergency vehicle for miles. When we were moved from room 609 to 509, the front door started a high pitch howl early in the morning, because the wind picked up, which we attributed to the water proof seal on the door needing to be replaced. When mentioning it upon exit, the male desk clerk stated he would let someone know, but again seemed disinterested in the complaint. When went took them up on the free breakfasts, bar tender/server in the dining area was very cordial and efficient; however, the toast they served arrived soggy, both times. All and all, I can say this was the absolute worst stay I have ever had and recommend you choose another newer hotel in the area.
