Florida Storm Panels sells their products to sub contractors and hardware stores and the sub contractors and hardware stores re-sell them to you for more than double the cost. I first bought storm shutters from Florida Storm Panels in 2005 for my house, all of the shutters together cost about $500.00. I installed them myself so I saved a few thousand dollars. I recently had to buy shutters for my garage as Citizens Insurance wanted to take away my storm credits for not having "documentation" for the obvious hurricane braced garage. So instead of spending $1700.00 for a new garage door like most home owners are doing in Florida to keep their storm credits. I decided to install removable storm shutters over the garage, costing me about $290.00. I paid $17 for each 15 in. x 104 in. panel, which costs $ 55.13 for each panel at home depot. If you come or call just ask for Odalis Polier, very attractive helpful Cuban lady. Florida Storm Panel has the metal imprint of the numbered code and Miami-Dade approved stamp, they also provide you with the documentation for the approval.

I was missing one panel, and called Florida Storm Panels (FSP) because some of the panels I already had were made there. I actually had called another company that I found onto the Internet first: they quoted me $45 for ONE 47" panel. Luckily, I checked my panels and saw FSP's name stamped on them! I called just after Hurricane Irma and FSP had only just gotten their electricity restored, but despite the fact that they were crazy busy, backlogged, and everything else, they took my order over the phone, and called me the next day (!) to let me know my panel was ready. It cost $10.48 including tax. Remember, the other company wanted to charge me $45. I'm still outraged. Thanks to Maria and Carolina (I hope I have their names right) in the office. Why can't everyone do business like this? Thanks, FSP!

From the very first phone call, JC was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. They scheduled a free in-home consultation within a couple of days, and the consultant arrived right on time, listened carefully to what I wanted, and offered fantastic suggestions without any high-pressure sales tactics. He took precise measurements and helped me choose the perfect style, color, and finish that complements my décor perfectly. The installation crew was just as impressive. They showed up on the exact day promised, laid down drop cloths to protect my floors, and worked efficiently and neatly. The shutters were custom-made and fit every window like a glove--no gaps, no adjustments needed. The quality is outstanding: solid hardwood, smooth operation, and that classic, elegant look that instantly elevated the whole house. What I appreciated most was the attention to detail. They even adjusted the tilt rods exactly how I wanted them and made sure I knew how to clean and maintain everything properly. The pricing was fair and transparent--no hidden fees or surprises on the final bill. Honestly, it felt like a premium service at a very reasonable cost. I've already get compliments from everyone who visits, and the difference in light control, privacy, and insulation is night and day. I recommend Elite Decor to anyone looking for plantation shutters (or any window treatments, really). They're true professionals who take pride in their work, and it shows. If you're on the fence, go with them--you'll be as delighted as I am! Thank you for transforming my home!

Highly recommend JC and his company!

Terrible experience -- avoid at all costs…read more I hired Diego from "Quality Blinds" to install three blinds, and unfortunately, the experience was a complete nightmare. It took five attempts to get the blinds installed, and one is still problematic. He is now asking me for $300+ to fix a problem caused by his own work. He drilled multiple times for each blind, leaving the wall paint damaged. One blind was still wobbly, and his solution was to stick a folded newspaper between the wall and the bracket. Another blind caught the tail of a charger while rolling up, which caused the cable to snap. Communication was another major problem. He rarely answers his phone, does not return calls, and does not respond to text messages. After a dozen attempts and a great deal of frustration, I finally managed to schedule appointments for him to fix the issues. He repeatedly failed to show up on time--not 20 or 30 minutes late, but 3-4 hours late. This meant being stuck at home for hours waiting for someone to fix problems that should never have occurred in the first place. His work was also messy and careless. Ultimately, I had to pay other people to finish and correct the work he started, resulting in additional expense, lost time, and a tremendous amount of frustration. I had just moved and had electricians, plumbers, painters, and other contractors coming and going. There were small issues here and there, but every other professional I dealt with took responsibility for their work and eventually made things right. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Diego at "Quality!" Blinds. DO NOT HIRE HIM.

UPDATE: Installers…read morearrived. Took 2 hours to install manual blackout shade and Sill, the piece for the bottom of the Shutter to give a finished look. While doing so, they removed the entire Shutter at least 2 times as I heard it crashing to the floor several times. (I do not know why they had to do this.). Paint on the sides was ripped off the walls together with pieces of my wall literally removed. And the Sill was damaged as its left side was broken off. When I asked them to leave when they were 'done', one installer refused to leave. I was overcharged for this Shutter and wasn't given what was promised and Shutter still needs adjusting and Sill needs to be replaced. FYI: I have never written a bad review in my life, until this nightmare experience with Diego/Quality Blinds Solutions.

A&M's salesperson Jason answered questions in an extremely timely manner. If I wrote the email in the evening or on the weekend, he responded. I couldn't have asked for a better sales professional. They even worked with me to install the doors I wanted, even though I did not purchase the doors from them. They installed all the windows and doors in one day. Three trucks and at least 6 employees. They sent back one installer the following day to install the window sills. I could not be happier. Other than some dust (expected) you would never even know they were here. They cleaned up every bit of scrap and removed the old windows, screens and frames. The employees could not have been nicer (even with my non-existent Spanish). I HIGHLY recommend this company if you are thinking about doing your doors and windows

Go elsewhere!…read more Salesperson did his job flawlessly, and hooked us in. Then the drama started. 1) The 2 people that came to measure the windows of our two story home didn't bring a ladder - and had the nerve to ask us for one. Because we didn't have one, they had to tromp throughout our house, trying to measure the installation dimensions from the inside. 2) The installer, while courteous, had no respect or care for the trash and debris left behind. To this day (2 years later), I still find screws and washers in the flower beds. It is even noticeable where the shoddy measuring fell short of the correct installation placement. 3) The salesperson clearly let us know that they would provide an estimate for our old panel shutters - for when we donate them to a charitable organization for tax purposes. Never happened. When we spoke with the owner he simply said they don't offer that. 4) When paying, we wrote a check and made it clear that it should not be cashed until the end of the week. The next day, I received a call from my bank saying that I had over drafted due to the said check being deposited. No one from Stormwise called to inform me of their mistake. After confronting them, the accounting woman acknowledged she had done it, but offered no apology. However, they did deduct the $35 overdraft fee from the remaining balance (thus the 1 star rating) 5) Never ending phone calls. It seems as if the lists they use for potential customers and current/past customers are one in the same. For about a year, I would receive 2-3 calls a week from Stormwise responding to my "request for information". Each time I explained that I was a past customer (unfortunately), and to remove me from the list. Nonetheless, it was temporary, and the calls continued. The product is fine - customer service, installation, and management are terrible at best. If you're someone that needs drama to survive, they're your best bet. Otherwise, don't expect much.
