I am very disappointed with the service I received from Artec Blinds. The communication from them was extremely poor throughout the entire process. There was a mix up with the measurements causing them to need to come out a second time to measure. This caused a significant delay. The agreed upon install date was delayed last minute. I recently had 5 shades installed by Artec in my condo. They are great. Exactly what I wanted. The cost was extremely treasonable. They came out and measured within a couple of days of my calling them and started work just when they said they would. Installation took about 2 hours and the installer was professional and efficient. There was a problem with one of the shades and with coronavirus it took a little bit of time for them to come out to fix it, but they did and I am a very satisfied customer. We had some interior designer/stagers come in and each one of them complimented us on the look. Super unfortunate - out of the 9 shades we had installed, two have really bad waves/rippling. Contract only stipulated this may be the case over 115" and our windows are 109" and under. They will tell you it was installed "beautifully" (leading me to believe it's the manufacturing) or point out all of the ways your home is settling and, therefore, the windows may be uneven - but this should not be an issue for the price and certainly since the contract does not apply to windows of our width. I wish I could give them a better review because some of the windows look beautiful. However, for nearly $5k, yours could look like this...(see pictures below.) I have since gotten expert opinions from two other companies who guarantee their work for the same or less money. On top of that, Andres the owner has ghosted. But don't worry - he'll be the first to tell you that he picked up his phone while jet skiing on a Thursday. I'm glad my shades helped pay for your Audi. Now can you come fix them? We live in a corner condo unit with full glass walls in three places. We were looking for something decorative that would block most of the sun and heat. He made an appointment promptly to see my shade and take measurements, and to give me a quote and show me fabric samples. We were referred to artec blinds by an existing customer and it was a good referral. Our condo has a lot of street lights shining in and we have mostly sliding glass doors. The solar blinds in the living room area offer nice light in the daytime and can only see shadows at nite from the street. The blackout blinds in the bedrooms keep all the light out and very dim in the morning. It's the first time I slept good in my bedroom. I think the pricing was reasonable and the quality good. For some time I was looking for a company willing to fix an electric blind that was rolling down to the side and every company I called refused to do such a small job. The person who initially installed the blinds moved out of the area so I was left with this blind that was rolling down crooked to one side. Found Artec blinds through YELP. They did a wonderful job. The end result of our contract with Artec Blinds was great. The measurements were precise, the price was extremely competitive, and the installer was meticulous with his work. There were a few bumps in making a payment and in scheduling, the installation so that will be a challenge for them to address in the future. But overall we would highly recommend Artec Blinds and the work of Andres and Felipe. Added Note: When I called 3 months after the installation due to a problem with a blind, Felipe was at our house within hours. Stupid us, the battery just needed to be recharged!
