This is a review of their UHaul truck rental service. I know most people are here for the self storage but incase anyone was wondering about their UHaul rental service, it's pretty great. I called in towards the end of the day because the previous location I was intending to rent a truck from was unavailable due to maintenance issues. I was glad that they allowed me to borrow the truck. They had someone booked for the next morning so they could have denied me the rental since, I technically had 24hrs once I had the truck and if I didn't bring it back, while I would still be within contract, this location would suffer a bit on reputation. I'm glad they work on trust and of course I did return the truck back the night before the next person needed it. They also provide a lock on the truck with the key attached to the car keys. This isn't required of UHaul and I simply haven't seen it done before. Great added service. If I'm in the area and I need another UHaul, I would happily come here. read more

Don't do it. I was a long time customer until the new owners and new employees. My company took a huge hit during the pandemic owning a Refrigeration company and 90% of your customers restaurants you can imagine how well I was doing. Especially since I was open 10 months beforehand so I was offered 0 government assistance. I trusted these people with every one 9f my worldly belongings and everything for my company in 2 units a 10x10 and a 14x25. Going into my 3rd year was when I got the 14x25 out of necessity. So here I am just lost 90% of my customers already have a second unit I had to get plus my office rent plus my condo payment plus my company insurance plus my employees saying things were tight is an under statement. After 1 month of my new unit they decide to double my rent during the pandemic from 225 to $450. So my $340 bill every month was now $570.00 I'm not going to go into full detail on this but they lied and said that my unit was on special when it wasn't and I still have all the paperwork showing that it wasn't and instead of work with me on this after about the third month when I couldn't pay on time every month and they very quickly locked me out and this became a trend to where every time I paid my bill the next one would already be due and a week late so I'd still be locked out keeping me from being able to move my stuff to another storage facility at a better rate and with them refusing to take payments Don't get me wrong I always paid plus $1,000 in late fees and other added lien fees and whatever else they decided to throw on after selling my BMW motorcycle my Audi and even having one of my close friends help me pay one of my payments I still ended up having them auction everything I own during the pandemic I hate these people with every ounce of my being and I hope to God that karma catches up with them because just looking back it makes me sick to my stomach thinking about everything that I lost tens of thousands of dollars worth of stuff at the very least. The worst part is I never got any paperwork telling me when it was auctioned How much it was oxygened for if I had any extra money to pick up from the auction or if I still owed money I'm assuming they got more than what I owed since I never heard a thing about it All of my personal paperwork all of my company paperwork family photos everything I never heard anything from these people or got anything back from them they're disgusting bile creatures that were born without a heart and if they do have one it's not in their chest and I bet you can use your imagination on where I'm going to tell you it is do yourself a favor and run as fast and far away from these jerks as possible. read more

Really a great storage facility. Lots of external units make bringing items to the unit very easy. The manager (Kevin, I think) is very nice and responsive, and the prices are very competitive with other storage facilities in the area. Perfect for prepping for a move. read more

One star is too much, tell you the truth. I was a long time customer with I-5 Mini Storage. Great company--I could have stayed there forever. Last year I wanted to clear out my second bedroom so I could have a friend move in who was in danger of being homeless. Instead of buying two units, the ladies at I-5 Mini Storage talked me into a big 20 x 20 unit in the K building. Because that area is prone to flooding, they normally discourage people from renting units there, but for $110 (just $20 more than the 5 x 15 unit I was paying for), I could have this big space. The only catch--I'd have to put my stuff on pallets to keep everything above ground in case of flooding. So last summer I went through the work of moving my stuff from one unit to the new bigger unit--and all the stuff out of my second bedroom. I am older, and I have bad knees, so this was a huge undertaking for me to do by myself. Not even one year later now, i am being forced to move, and give up a lot of my stuff completely. In May Trojan Storage took over. There was no forwarning. I contacted them because I was worried my $110 rent would go up. I was reassured by several people, all of them male with fake-sounding, overly-friendly voices, that there was no rent increase planned for the foreseeeable future. Much relieved, I paid my $110 rent for June. Then they proceeded to put in new doors and paint the units. I joked with my roommate that this might be their excuse to jack up the rents--that thing they had told me was not the plan in the foreseeeable future. Then yesterday, July 3rd, I get a letter from Trojan Storage announcing that as of August 1st, my rent would be $225!!! I called and left a very angry message. I got a call back from a man with (again) that fake overly pleasant voice, and he told me THEY were not the ones who raised my rent. So apparently there is a corporate office somewhere pulling the strings. I looked online trying to find this number--strangely it is not to be found. Now today (July 4th) I went to start trying to move my stuff out of my locker, and my security code does not work in their gate. Would I recommend Trojan Storage? Not even in a cold day in hell. This company is NOT accredited with the BBB (according to my online search), and it is oooooh so obvious why. I feel sad for anyone else currently renting units in the K building, because I suspect their lower rents (on account of the flood risk) have all more than doubled in one month, just as mine did. Now I will have to rent a smaller unit elsewhere, and try to move all that stuff out with my bad knees. I will have to take at least half of my stuff to Goodwill now, because I no longer have a second bedroom to put it in. Gee, thanks, Trojan Storage . read more

I've since vacated from Trojan storage. On the way out I was throwing a few trash bags away in the dumpster and was promptly confronted by someone who works there saying I was breaking the rules. Something about the dumpster only being for contractors and that they don't provide a dumpster. Literally every other storage facility I've used has provided a dumpster, but not this one. He said he'll look into having the illegal dumping fee waived, I laughed. I informed him that my contract, signed with I-5 mini storage, doesn't have such bs in it. Anyway, I wasn't charged and never looked back. Good riddance read more

We have been renting here for at least 10 years, and when it was I-5 mini storage it was great. Yes there were occasional problems, but the employees were always nice, caring, and honest and the rent was stable. Since it was bought by Trojan Storage, all of that changed. Prices immediately were raised, and kept raising every 8-12 months. At first the explanation was that it was because they had just acquired the business, then it was supply chain issues. What supply chain? Nothing is being shipped on boats, it's units that have been in the same location for decades. Now they just admit that they will raise prices at least once a year because they can. They've been buying the local surrounding storage businesses in the area and now have a monopoly. This is a multi-state company that can afford to have units standing empty so they can write off losses for tax purposes and charge whatever they please, above what the market can bear. They have now changed our contracts and have added in new fees including a technology fee (not sure what for they already had cameras and secured gates) and a payment processing fee. So now we have to pay them an extra fee just to pay our rent. We are currently looking at other options because at almost $500 a month for 2 modest size units and a guaranteed price increase every few months and now a fee for the privilege of paying them a monthly rental fee, it's becoming untenable. They don't care, as I said they are not interested in actually keeping customers, just fleecing people for as much as they can get away with. Soon it will be cheaper to rent a studio apartment to store stuff in. read more

Very happy with the level of service I receive at I-5 Mini Storage. I've been with them for over two years now, and after some shopping around, found them to be the best price in the area. There facility is a bit older than the chain of self-storage facilities around and outside of Seattle, but the secure fence, heavy gate, and security cameras, coupled with the 24-hour onsite management, makes me feel my stuff is every bit as secure, at a much better deal. Regarding the on-site management, I've always felt them to be friendly whenever my wife or I drop of our payment. A small item really given how infrequent we see them, but definitely makes me feel better about renting from them. read more

I've had my stuff in storage with them for years, they've alwasy been amazing to me. my rent has only gone up $5 bucks in 4 years!

So happy I chose to store my stuff here. Everyone has been so nice and helpful. I needed to tow a car in and I got there right at closing and they stayed an extra 15 minutes after closing for me to hold the gate open so I could get in and out of the gates without a problem. read more

I have been a customer of Trojan Storage at Everett, Washington since 01/2021. I signed a contract document for $113 a month including insurance. I got an invoice like I do every month for May but now for $182. I checked my paperwork and no where on the document states a raise in monthly payments to $182. I called and left messages requesting a call back. Not responsive so I kept calling. Melissa from that location told me that other people were in the same situation and they just dealt with it. It does not state in the document rates changes. In Washington state it is considered "False Advertisement". She gave me the corporate number to call and I have left messages. No response. Called the Everett location again and spoke with new manager Kevin. He told me that Frank the regional manager would call. I followed up with Kevin and Frank called from an unknown number. On top of that Frank went on Vacation May 5th. I left Frank a voicemail to return my call and still no response. This is very bad business practices of false advertisement, no transparency and poor communications/customer service. read more
