For a party of 4 or fewer, a tasting of 5 wines was free, but their Seyval Blanc, a semi sweet white, was calling my credit card! All 5 I tasted were quite good. I especially liked being able to buy my bottle of chilled wine, have them open it and pour a glass so I could sit on the patio to enjoy it, then take it back in for them to use their Medieval-looking industrial strength wine bottle sealer on it so I could take the remainder home. Their tasting room is very comfortable and attractive, and the famous Kansas artwork that graces some of their bottle labels hangs on the walls, along with the history and story of the art.

The space for karaoke was much like a hanger, probably because the whole building is basically something like a small aircraft hanger converted to a winery. The insulated walls and high ceilings made the acoustics a bit challenging, but the mood of the people and the fun made up for that. Kitty, the DJ, kept things moving and on track, and there wasn't a single break in entertainment the whole evening! They don't have a kitchen, apparently, so we chose not to sample anything from cold plate or warmed food menu. In all, two thumbs up!!

I was here because of a holiday party given by a volunteer organization I work with in the area. The organization is Loving Paws and we provide therapy dogs for the community. The cool thing about Bluejacket is they let us bring our dogs. So we had a HOWL-a-day party here. The vineyard is easy to find. It's in a rural part of the county and you have to go down some dirt roads but it was easy to find. There is plenty of signage to guide you, as well. It is just a lovely setting. Beautiful grounds and everything has been carefully crafted. The main building is for tastings and gatherings. There was a roaring fire and comfy chairs in the main area when you walk inside. It is a large one room structure. To the right is the service area where you order your wine. To the left is seating area and plenty of tables and chairs. The wine flight list was extensive. The proprietor was very warm and informative. She led us through the flight choices and gave us background on the vineyard. It is a family venture which makes it even more cozy, there are many, many delicious wine choices. There was one I tried which was award winning. It was a Seyval, I think. Simply delicious! The proprietor answered all our questions and was very knowledgeable. She made the experience very nice. The prices on the wines were reasonable, too.
