Huston Performing Arts in Placentia is an amazing performing arts program!…read more We were first introduced to them when they came to our elementary school and produced Seussical and Annie. I expected basic elementary school productions, but I was so surprised and impressed by how professional they were and by the performances of all the students. That experience led us to sign my eight-year-old grandson up for their summer production of James and the Giant Peach, and it was one of the best decisions we could have made. Kris Huston and her team truly focus on teaching the fundamentals of musical theater. The students aren't just learning their parts--they're learning real theater skills and what goes into putting on a quality production. I've watched my grandson grow and polish his skills through these three productions, while gaining confidence and, most importantly, having so much fun. You can see that same growth and training reflected in the wonderful performances of all the students. I look forward to watching him continue with Huston Performing Arts and seeing his skills and love for theater grow over the years. I highly recommend this program to any family looking for a place where their child can truly learn the craft of theater and love doing it!

I went inside alone and seen that it was truly empty so I begged my child to come in. He did! He needed a new flute and Moises was so good dealing with my son's special needs. We ended up not only leaving with a flute, but also a piccolo AND A NEW FRIEND IN MOISES. Moises I still to this day feel so blessed about that encounter and we will never forget that experience. I have always wanted to learn the piano and bought a digital piano back in December. After a month…read moreof trying to learn on my own, I figured that it was best for me to learn under a teacher. After finding Dr. Park through Yelp, I was really nervous for our first lessons since I've never taken piano lessons before and I don't really have confidence in my musical ability. I'm glad I found Dr. Park though as he's helped build a foundation for me that I can work off of. I've have to recently stop going to lessons because of work related reasons, but I would definitely reach out to Dr. Park again when I am able to. He is very patient and he explains really well. I've brought in some other pieces for Dr. Park to look at and he has helped me through them too. Would definitely recommend Dr. Park for anyone that is looking for a music teacher - adult or child students.

I highly recommend this very kind, gifted and technically skilled teacher.

We had a poor experience from start to end unfortunately…read more I had called and left three voicemails over the span of two weeks, different days and different times. I never got a call back, and I decided to try once more where I finally got someone and booked a session. (Our other local music school was relocating farther from us, and my daughter really wanted lessons.) Our lessons were.. okay. They didn't always start promptly and they were usually in tiny, hot rooms big enough for one small folding chair (plus instrument and standing student with teacher). We tried it out for a couple months and it was not for us. When canceling, they assured me it would be okay, but of course they continued to charge us the following months. I called, and again no return messages. I called again, spoke to someone and they said James would call me back, but not a word since two weeks ago. I had to dispute the charges with my card, but save yourself the effort I went through and seek lessons elsewhere.

I had a violin that had been left unused and neglected for 20 years and was in very poor condition,…read moreso I visited Forte Stirling to replace the strings and have it inspected, intending to lend it free of charge to a student in need. I went in half-doubting how all the reviews could be so good, but they were all true! Five stars aren't enough; the service and friendliness deserve a full ten Star. They carefully checked the violin and customized it to fit a beginner perfectly, making it feel as good as new. Not only that, but the my bow was in terrible condition, and there were various items I needed, and they kindly provided everything as a free service. Does this even make sense? I ended up getting more service than the cost of replacing the violin strings!!! I had visited many instrument shops before, but Forte Strings-their warm hearts, kindness and professional skills are special thing I will never forget. If you want to learn violin or cello, or have a connection to string instruments, this is a must-visit place! I would never hesitate to recommend the Forte Strings!!!
