They take care of you. Diana is great. It would be nice to see Dr. Kamlet, but he's very busy.

I am a client of Dr. Jenna. I am a Oxy addict have been doing it for three years. Last year. Was…read morethe first time I ever tried to get off of it. I went to Jenna. It was the most beautiful experience ever. Like all addicts. You know that it's not easy to stop just the first one. I went one or twice more tried to do it obviously I failed now I call that I am dialled in that I want to get my treatment and I'm in that headspace and I get told by I guess the supervisor that Jenna no longer will allow me to use my insurance to go see her that I need to pay $300 out-of-pocket every time I do because according to her I didn't follow her procedures to me. It sounds more like farming people with money than helping people it is crazy to me but it's all good now I know who and what type of person she is well I always knew what type of person she was and the things I've seen of her oof. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't want those things that I've seen online.

Disgraceful. I am a…read morelong-term pain patient. They made me wait all month for my appointment and for me to come in, which is physically difficult to do on its own, to tell me they won't accept me as a patient. Now, days before my prescription expires, I have to scramble back to my referring doctor to renew my prescription. All the nurse practitioner offered me is suboxone for when I will inevitably go through withdrawal due to their carelessness. My previous pain management doctor has been transitioning all of his opiate clients out of his practice and referred me specifically to Dr. Kamlet because this is his speciality. I assumed there would be little issue. It's a real slap in the face, on top of already having come in last month to receive ketamine treatment for my back-pain and being turned away due to their practice not using ketamine to treat back-pain, which I explicitly explained to the receptionist that I would come in for over the phone. Traversing the ever-changing field of medical care regarding opioid pain medication is hard enough and painful enough without falling victim to this kind of careless and abusive mismanagement.

Some mental health appointments can be confusing or discouraging, but this is never the case with him. He is clear, compassionate, and very practical with his suggestions. He's also above average at connecting in a Telehealth context. I would recommend his practice to anyone who needs mental health services.

I'd go somewhere else although if your like me and your looking you might be coming up short on options wish you luck

Once you leave Harbor Village, they're still concerned about your recovery and will answer any other questions you have. The staff is polite, but you have to follow the rules which is understandable. This place like ALL rehabs have patients who are not happy to be there, but you have to ignore that, help each other if you can, and focus on the many positive things you can leave with after a stay at Harbor Village. The food was good plus plentiful with polite staffing. They keep you pretty busy with classes and one on one discussions Mon-Fri, which is good. On the weekends you have a few classes, but you are given more down time, plus they take you on some excellent fun field trips. I recommend this place for those who really want to get sober. You will be armed for the rest of your life with how you CAN stay off drugs and alcohol. You have to embrace and nurture your sobriety. Jeffrey K.

I don't even know where to begin with my experience at Harbor Village in Miami, FL. I spent nine…read moredays there for medical detox, and the conditions were far below what I expected from a healthcare facility. The building felt consistently unclean -- I saw insects, the floors and walls looked dirty, and the bathroom had no mats, making it feel unsafe and slippery. Trash sat for long periods without being emptied, and the room and bathroom were rarely, if ever, swept or mopped. The issues extended to shared areas as well. Utensils were left out in the open, and food service practices didn't appear to follow basic hygiene standards. I often noticed staff serving food without gloves or hair coverings, which made me extremely uncomfortable. Medically, I felt overlooked. My vitals were taken inconsistently, and the readings recorded didn't match what I actually experienced. When I asked about CIWA scoring, the explanations I received didn't inspire confidence, yet scores were still assigned. On top of that, my psychiatric medications were repeatedly given at doses lower than what I'm prescribed, even after I explained the issue multiple times. My anxiety was noticeably worse during my stay, and my blood pressure dropped significantly once I left. Overall, my experience left me feeling neglected, dismissed, and deeply frustrated. I expected a safe, clean, and attentive environment, and what I encountered fell far short of that.

I've been seeing her for three years and now that I'm leaving Miami, I'm kind of traumatized thinking about having to find a doctor as good as Dr. Shaffer again! Dr. Shaffer is associated with Baptist and you can communicate with her office using Baptist's online portal as well as see all of your exam summaries and lab results. She was covered under my United Healthcare Insurance, and luckily still in-network when I switched to Cigna. She shares the office with one or two other doctors who I believe are both "concierge doctors" so needless to say the office is beautiful and spotless. They can do EKGs and x-rays in office, as well as all of your blood work right then and there. I've seen her for everything from yearly physicals and strep throat to more complicated issues. She is so kind and intelligent. I have never once felt any bit uncomfortable or awkward when talking to her. Her office staff is wonderful too, particularly Courtney, and many times I've been able to get an appointment same day. Her office is located off of Lincoln Road, but there is a huge parking garage right next door with very reasonable rates. I think at most I have ever paid $8 and that was for a fairly long physical with labs, followed by a stop at Shake Shack across the street (because what else do you do after getting a physical?) As far as any negatives, the wait time can at times be a bit long, but since the service is so good I really don't mind. They're usually good about submitting prescription refills as well, I've only had to call them once or twice to follow-up on a refill. Her old assistant, Minerva I believe, used to be a bit scattered, but her new one Courtney is totally on top of everything.

I came to see one of the MDs in the group, Dr. Cindy Shaffer, a primary care physician affiliated with Baptist Health. I had pleasant interactions with the entire medical staff. Also, this office is enormous, modern and equipped with state of the art diagnostics like ultrasound, x-ray, and they even do EKG and lab testing in office which is a HUGE time saver. The phlebotomist drawing my labs did a great job. The only drawback is finding parking near lincoln rd. so give yourself extra time.
