We came here for the outdoor seating since have a little dog with us. The weather was perfect this morning so perfect location for sitting outside & in the shade. The food is consistently good, I had an egg white omelette that was outstanding with their famous potatoes and my honey had two fried eggs with potatoes. Let's talk about their killer potatoes- they roast them then cut them up and then either pan fry them or bake them again. They are perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. So good! My honey says," they have the best coffee in town!" Service was great- cheerful, funny, accommodating. speedy to turn around our beverages and food with a smile & great sense of humor. This is a locals favorite. Highly recommend

Great little diner the only negative for me was we couldn't find parking and had to wait for people to leave . Food was great and waitress was so sweet ! Great diner

Avocado Toast- Whole Wheat toast. Fresh smashed avocado, sliced tomatoes, an egg your way and everything seasoning.

Excellent little St. Pete Florida treasure. Menu has a great variety of options all of which are on the spectrum of traditional breakfast items. Service was great- server was friendly and attentive. Small diner but cute with historical local stories and memorabilia in the tables and on the walls as you enter. Small parking lot maybe fits 15 cars so keep that in mind when coming to visit. You pay at the register and not the table - they take all payment types. Overall loved this place, will definitely be back!

Chicken & Biscuit meal with a side of 2 scrambled eggs

Food: Better than most diners these days! You can tell they went more unique with the recipes vs run of the mill. I had the chicken and biscuits with a side of scrambled eggs. I wanted to try the chicken and waffles but they don't have 100% real maple syrup which is always a deal breaker for me, p.s. offer it for an up-charge ;) This I landed on chicken and biscuits and they were delicious. The chicken had a nice peppery and flavorful breading. I do wish more sausage gravy came with the meal... why because I wasn't expecting 2 biscuits with the split breast. Very good, and I'd go back for this. Service: Excellent service! The waiter checked in with us regularly and the host even let us pick a seat near an outlet as I was there, working during breakfast with someone on my laptop. Ambiance: Classic diner vibes with outside seating too! Has a bar front seating area as well.

It's a diner!

I had the meatloaf dinner with real, skin--on mashed potatoes, rather bland collards, great garlic Texas style toast. The sauce on the meatloaf was tasty, but I would have preferred a bit more zip and the collards lacked the depth of flavor found in real southern cooking. The meatloaf itself was at least a full half pound and was jucy and full of assorted flavors. The iced tea actually tasted like iced tea. The price Mas reasonable at $13.95. The ambiance was that of a typical dinner. The service was friendly and efficient. The place was packed and parking is space. Order their fried string onions when you come...the merit being in the restaurant hall of fame.

Major disappointment on the salads. Was really looking forward to a crispy romaine salad and instead got soggy wilted lettuce, not worthy of eating. Also, adding to my disappointment was trying to eat my meal while fighting several flies going for my food. I'm eating inside in A/C, so why I'm being attacked by flies? The 2-stars were for the French onion soup that was hot and flavorful. Parking behind the diner helps.

Good prices quality taste! I came for the Chicken and waffles and for $11.99 I was very happy. Chicken was flavorful and crispy- waffle just right. Service was friendly and fast. And it has a classic diner vibe. I will be back to try more. Highly recommend!

Everything tasted great! I've only tried the location in Tampa so I saw this one and food was just as I expected! Great grits and the waffles was pleasing. I'm a wafflemaniac so it's a win! The servers were so nice and the prices are moderate. Quiet and on the Main Street but also in the cut. Go!

Fried grouper & my delicious waffle.

Food was good & we enjoyed our lunch. The server forgot my mom's request so we had to ask her again.

French toast platter Delicious.

Our server took great care of the 6 of us on our Monthly outing. The food was delicious and Hot. Great old style place lots of stuff on the walls to look At ( NY Yankees team photo etc) Definitely going back to try more . It was really busy for a Sunday morning . Parking lot is small but street parking available nearby .

Good food, good prices, good service - all in all a solid diner. I've not had lunch or dinner there but it's a popular choice for breakfast/brunch when I visit family in the area. I recommend the hubcap pancakes (they are really are the size of a hubcap) and the fried green tomato eggs Benedict.

This place demands attention from the moment you walk in. My wife opted for eggs and bacon, while I went for the cheeseburger. We also shared a French toast, which proved to be the standout dish. A straightforward menu gives a decent variety and the chef delivered on the flavor. We had the egg Benedict the Gudda grits, and the (not so) French toast. Overall, the food was delicious, but I was extremely disappointed with the "French toast" for some reason, the chef opted for not doing an egg/milk bath for their French toast, which to me is a grave mistake, who wants to dry French toast? This liberty could be excused, and tolerable for the sake of creativity and innovation, IF it was openly, shared on the menu, or by the server. However, this came to a COMPLETE surprise to me AFTER ordering and receiving it. I've never had DRY French toast, nor do I ever wish to again despite the tasty toppings and well executed cinnamon butter cream, it was still not an enjoyable experience, especially if you're expecting classic French toast. That said the eggs Benedict was phenomenal. The pork is perfectly cooked. The biscuits are light and fluffy. And the sauce was immaculate. The Gudda grits surprise me while not being creamy in the same way of grit, I've had in the past, these retained their grit structure, but it kind of melted in your mouth, providing that creamy texture and they add chopped bacon and a sweet I would guess type of reduction in just the right amount to balance the flavor of the Gudda. I do wish they had sausage and hash browns. But it's not that kind of place. My last complaint would be in the potatoes that come with the Benedict. Whatever other option, they have picked those get anything, but those ours came undercooked, and they refried them for us, and they still were just below average which for a place like this. I expected more. Overall, not a bad place. The coffee was phenomenal. I had a dirty Matcha, and it was perfectly executed. Prices aren't terrible for what you'd expect from downtown St Pete at a fancy place, so I was happy. Service was good and friendly. After I expressed my dissatisfaction with the French toast, the manager came over and offered his apologies and remove the item from my bill, even offered to bring us something else, and to have a beverage to go to make up for it. However, I was at the end of our mail and I was ready to get going with the rest of my day, so I said thank you and we departed. Overall, I will not come back for French toast but that eggs Benedict. I would definitely come back and try something else as well. Give it a shot. Just DONT get the French toast. If you like normal French toast.

This was my first trip to Allelo, a Mediterranean-Aegean restaurant…read more I was in town for business and arrived solo. I was greeted by Carolina, a very confident and friendly hostess. I told her I wanted to sit outside so I could have dinner and read a book with a glass of wine. She told me it would be about 20 minutes and suggested I go to the bar. Once inside, I was greeted by Corey, who entertained me with a vibrant wine list and a quick tasting before selecting a crisp Sauvignon Blanc. As my wine was being poured in a delightfully elegant wine glass... Carolina told me my table was ready. They put me in the perfect spot for people watching. My server was Rachel, who shared the night's special offerings with great aplomb. I am not usually a Wagyu person, but I thought why not, yolo. I paired it with the cauliflower. But to kick things off,..I did the focaccia. The meal was so superb. I immediately texted a friend of mine and said we had to come back the following evening. Again with the Wagyu and the focaccia. Sue me, I'm a glutton for delight. My friend had the seafood linguine.... Which in keeping with the theme was exemplary. Our server for night two was Kyle... Who anticipated I ever need. We had a variety of martinis and ended the evening with a fancy coffee that included a rock sugar spoon. This is my new go to when I visit St. Petersburg. And did I mention Rachel gave me an awesome book recommendation? Thanks girl! If you're looking for somewhere really cool to go for curated cocktails, and exceptional food...This is the place.

The appetizers: Tuna tartare was nothing special it also didn't come with any bread or chip just plop on the plate. The goat cheese appetizer special was a small circle with oily crusted bread. One main course was 1/2 rack of lamb cooked perfectly and nice portion, Za'atar cauliflower nice portion didn't taste like Za'atar. Pasta dish had to add black pepper was ok. I must say the cucumber vodka soda spritzer was super refreshing!! The service was great, atmosphere, they really tried but must of had an off kitchen night. We were also disappointed items on the website were not available.
