That's a big part of what they do here. Dance, of course. But both girls and boys learn about basic decency and manners in addition to the many types of dance (ballet, tap, jazz, modern, etc). Note: This is not a competitive studio. However, they do follow the Cicchetti ballet method and there are grades/levels the students are tested on regularly, if they so choose to be. They also can be tested on tap. The owner of the studio is on the Cicchetti board and having CDC as a test center is great. This is a global organization and the students get to meet kissers from around the world as well as students coming here from around the country for a period of time. There is a summer program that runs 8:00-1:00 everyday as well as access to other summer programs (and competitions) around the country and even the world. If you're looking for a dance studio, you should definitely come check it out and take a class or two!

I paid…read morefor tickets for me and my husband to go watch our granddaughter dance in the recital only to find out that her class was NOT in the recital. Her class was only in the "finale". Other kids I noticed had 3-4 routines and yet the teacher couldn't find anywhere in the recital to have my granddaughter's class have an actual act/routine? This disappointed us but mostly disappointed my granddaughter who knew her class was not actually in it and really wanted to show people how she dances. I just can't understand how a dance studio can have a recital and leave out an entire class from the recital. Then try to justify it by saying that they're in the finale which is only supposed to be a quick view of everyone who is in the recital. I'm very disappointed in centerstage and I would not recommend having your child go there because you never know you may pay the money for months and months for them to have lessons and then find out that they're not going to be in the recital. They want to help you and want to make you healthier. It is a no judgement zone. Every routine the instructors will also show modified versions of moves that could be harder for some. All ages are welcome there from kids to 70 years old. This place is definitely one I will keep going back to.

The room is large and well air conditioned, which is good as we all get our sweat on. The instructor (Tammy) was very welcoming, explained how Zumba works for first timers, and encouraged us to focus on the footwork if we were getting lost doing the moves. I enjoyed the friendliness of the participants, the encouragement of the instructor, and the volume level of the music. My one complaint is it is not always easy to see the instructor, if she was on a raised stage that would be better. If you are expecting a gym environment, that is not the case. There are no locker rooms and limited restrooms. Overall, this was a very positive experience, and I may return.

The dance keeps your mind off the fact that you're getting a pretty decent workout. The instructors are intense, the music is terrific, and the enthusiasm of fellow dancers (watch out for 'zumba' as a middle name on facebook!) is infectious. I have been in classes with two instructors, both highly experienced in zumba, great as tutors, and awesome people to talk to personally!
