I've danced here for two years and now that I'm moving, it's breaking my heart that I have to say goodbye to the people (instructors and fellow students) who have become my good friends. Whether you're interested in learning a first dance for your wedding or want to become more comfortable and confident on the dance floor in social settings, whether you're just trying to get some exercise or if you're interested in competing, this is the place to go. Private lessons will give you a chance to focus on the area of dancing you're most interested in; and group classes are just fun and a great opportunity to meet other people, who enjoy dancing. And you don't need a partner!!! At private lessons (and competitions and showcases, if you're interested in that), you'll be able to dance with your instructor. And at parties and group classes, there are always lots of partners and everyone rotates, so you'll get a chance to dance with lots of other dancers at various skill levels. I originally began going to the studio to just learn some of the basics of dancing, but now look forward to something new every week and continuing to add more and more styles and dance steps. Arthur Murray dance studio in Vernon is amazing!!! :-) My sis is dancing there and if I would live in the US I definitely would take classes there as well (but I actually live in Europe). I have seen her improve from month to month. She got such a great dancer/performer and she is having so much fun. Her best friends are from Arthur Murray studio. The teachers are really great - they let you dance beautiful solos - you look amazing in them and improve a lot from competition to competition. The best thing about the studio is that you don't need a dance partner. At my place you have to have a partner from third level on - this is not easy to manage, since guys are mostly not so interested in dance. That's why I had to quit ballroom dancing. Now I am into jazz dance and modern dance - there you don't need a partner! But it is too bad, since dancing with a partner is so much fun - especially at Arthur Murry Vernon. I highly recommend the Arthur Murray studio in Vernon. I've had a wonderful experience dancing here! The staff is friendly and caring. They will help you take your dancing to the next level and will make sure you're having fun along the way. The other students are welcoming and supportive and there is always a lot of laugther and joking during group classes. The family atomsphere at the studio has helped me come out of my shell and has helped me become more confident and comfortable on the dance floor. I can't believe it's been 5 years since I first walked into the Vernon Arthur Murray dance studio to sign up for couples dancing lessons for my husband's birthday! It has been the best present I've ever gotten for him(actually for us). I have learned so much while having a lot of fun and meeting many new friends. The teachers are great and really care about each student. The lessons are personalized to whatever type of ballroom dancing you might want to do. I have been attending Arthur Murray Vernon for slightly over 2 years now and I can't say enough good things about it! The staff is always helpful and respectful and accommodating. I have only been a member of the Arthur Murray Dance Studio family for a few months.
