That's a big part of what they do here. Dance, of course. But both girls and boys learn about basic decency and manners in addition to the many types of dance (ballet, tap, jazz, modern, etc). Note: This is not a competitive studio. However, they do follow the Cicchetti ballet method and there are grades/levels the students are tested on regularly, if they so choose to be. They also can be tested on tap. The owner of the studio is on the Cicchetti board and having CDC as a test center is great. This is a global organization and the students get to meet kissers from around the world as well as students coming here from around the country for a period of time. There is a summer program that runs 8:00-1:00 everyday as well as access to other summer programs (and competitions) around the country and even the world. If you're looking for a dance studio, you should definitely come check it out and take a class or two!

There are others who feel the same way and are not returning to this studio. The owner Doreen has horrible communication skills and does not know how to deal with parents nor your children. She does not make time for her teachers and does not acknowledge them at the recital. I have never been to a dance studio where the teachers DO NOT come out at the end for a bow. I read a review on here a couple of months from a different mother stating the owner never responded to her when she tried several times to sign her daughter up for dance classes. She also went on and on about how "unprofessional" the owner is. I agree with this woman and know first hand what she is talking about. I am a mother and a professional dance teacher & I am telling you not to waste your time with this studio. It may look professional on their website but the owner Doreen Crane is anything but professional. That is why I am not returning and other people (who will remain nameless) are not. This Elks Lodge is lovely. I never thought I'd ever say ANY Elks lodge was lovely but this one actually is. There is a bar and then a separate function room with a bar. There is a dance floor and nice seating. The staff is friendly and capable and the food is actually really good. I had a wonderful time here what with the laughing and the crying and the crying and the laughing and, certainly, the wonderful space helped. Thank you.
