Yeah, we're fans. The Opera House is a magnificent historical landmark in Thomaston. We've been to…read moredozens of shows here (hosted by Landmark Community Theatre) and consistently come away with wonderful experiences. The shows are first-rate, whether locally produced or visiting artists, whether for adults or youngsters, and we plead prejudice since we've appeared on stage in a few of them. That aside, the staff here couldn't be friendlier and more helpful, the newly renovated interior is clean and lovely and the seating mostly comfortable (the leg room can get to be an issue without an intermission, however) and they have some nice snacks and drinks for patrons.

The cast was wonderful. The intimate theater made us feel part of the show. The reason for the four stars was the cigarette smoking in the play itself. Multiple times people were smoking in the play, which did not give anything to the show. It was very bothersome and painful for me. I was concerned it would cause me to have an asthma attack. I think if I came to a show again, I would definitely ask if they're smoking in the show. As this was the only show I've been to at this location. I don't know if it's a common thing or not. I would definitely recommend checking out this small community theater.

The production was absolutely fantastic, way beyond what I'd expected for a local theatre company. It's a cozy, intimate venue with a bring your own food option and in house bar (no outside beverages allowed) and extremely friendly owners and staff. The actors come into the audience, the sound quality and musical accompaniment was impressive. The only thing I'd note is that although you're told that the theatre opens at 5:30 that's only the bar area, if you want to eat inside the actual theatre area that doesn't open until 6:30 for a 7:30 show. It's a great place supporting local actors and we'll definitely we back to do our part!
