I love the Triple Plea Inn in Halesworth, not least because they ensure than most of their menu ingredients come from local growers and suppliers.
The restaurant area is decorated in pale neutral colours which reflects the light all around the large room, it really is a pleasure to eat in here. Prices are a little bit higher than other pub restaurants in the area but this is the premium we pay for eating local food. My favourite meal is the braised lamb shank which is served with a medley of delicious root vegetables and for pudding I always have the pear and apple crumble with ginger ice cream.
The bar has a quiet friendly atmosphere and in here you can buy real ales which are from the local area, these change regularly and also swap with general UK ales as well as those from Suffolk itself.
The lounge is a beautiful room which features squishy leather sofas so you can sit down in comfort before going though to the restaurant. This room always has an air of calm and is a really relaxing place to sit and eat.
There's a large beer garden to the back of the pub and a small patio area at the front, both of which catch the sun beautifully in the summer and is perfect for bringing the kids to burn some energy off while mum and dad enjoy a drink - and possibly a delicious freshly cooked meal. read more
