This quaint but beautiful shop is located in an assuming plaza in West Rouge. The owner, Sarah, is a consummate professional with eyes for details and she has arranged countless beautiful bouquets for my family and friends. I only wish I still had photos of all the arrangements I've gotten from Sarah over the years to show just how beautiful her arrangements are. She has gorgeous, rare flowers she expertly crafts into one of a kind bouquets and over the years, she started carrying other locally hand-crafted items such as soy candles, bath products, gourmet foods and other items that are perfect for that last minute gifts. I have personally tried out some dips, candles, shower scents, teas and they were all excellent quality. I look forward to having Sarah's shop in our area for many more years to come and I highly encourage anyone who has not been to this shop to come check out this West Rouge gem.

If you are looking for children's books about the city, or TTC related clothing and pins, or niche Toronto merchandise, this is the best store in the city. You're not going to find any better patches to sew onto your coats or bags, any better keychains, magnets, books on local history, or even games. The store is absolutely worth your time. And, if you are showing some guests around toronto, it is worth stopping in here too. Plus, it's on such a perfect walking tour of the city that why would you pass it up?

The cookies are fresh. In the past I was able to purchase these same maple cookies at Cross Border U.S. - Canada shopping by vehicle Duty Free many years ago which I greatly missed. Since I am unable to return to The Great White North I can now bring something from Canada into the U.S. Purchasing direct from manufacturer is always great without any hurdles. The maple cookies are very tasty. I had no problems with shipping from Canada into U.S. N.B. I was really happy to come across this store in Hillcrest Mall. In terms of Totoro merchandise, there were colour variations I don't normally see, especially green. Of course, there are many sizes and colours of plushies to choose from, but also tote bags, figurines, and some neat in-store art decor that were all different from what I normally find. The really neat section for me is The Little Prince merchandise, which you don't tend to find much of elsewhere. Here, it rivals the extent of the Ghibli selection, with books, clothing, mugs, plushies, and puzzles. I was really eyeing the $45 Fox plushie, which was really nicely made, but I turned to one of their wooden 3D laser cutting puzzles instead, along with a mug that actually is from France. There were several books to choose from that went from toddler to adult level, including an absolutely gorgeous pop-up that really was more like a work of art for the coffee table. It's not a large space, but the amount of stock is still pretty good. The staff were polite and efficient in ringing up my purchases. When I saw the payment terminal I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get a paper receipt, but thankfully, it was provided without a hitch. This store is good enough to make Hillcrest Mall a return destination for me. If you're into Studio Ghible, The Little Prince, or Bandai, I would highly recommend checking them out. If you're into wooden puzzles and unusually themed puzzles as well, same. You can also check out their their website first to see what kind of merchandise they carry. Lindsay, the shop owner, has done a fantastic job creating a shop atmosphere that resembles a cozy apartment, and we always feel welcomed! In addition to selling things, Loohoo also hosts several events, from markets to craft nights. We always leave feeling super happy. :) Accessibility: no automatic door opener, but Lindsay is super helpful! Public and paid street parking available; located close to Queen streetcar stop. Gender-neutral bathroom on main floor, no changing table, but Parkdale library is across the street. I attended one market day, and some vendors were in the basement down uneven and narrow steps.

I've been into this shop several times, but am leaving a full review today…read more The first time I came into the shop, the shopkeeper greeting me very warmly and showed me the selection of wares as I was making my way through the store. First, the shop is so adorable. Decorated and dripping in serotonin, complete with a smooth playing running in the back, it was so healing for my inner child. It's laid out like the interior of a home so there's the living room you can sit and vibe in (while looking at a selection of bongs, tarot and oracle decks, and other cute things), there's a dining space with kitchen ware, an office library space complete with bookshelves and journals, and a bedroom space with sexy fun toys laid on the bed (from women owned businesses). As such the items are fairly and appropriately priced for what their value and purpose is. It's so hard to leave this store because Lindsay is always so so sweet and friendly, very knowledgable on each product and company they come from, and the neighbouring people who come in can proudly vouch for her as well! If you're looking for super cute products and want to support a local Canadian business, please check out this store. There's events that run frequently too so if you're not there to shop, you can come and join in on activities! I'm also a business owner and have tag-teamed with Lindsay for a tarot reading event that was very successful and have returned for a market event this weekend.

There's a gift-shop Battle Royale at the Front Street entry/exit of Toronto's St. Lawrence Market…read more I imagine the owners of the 43 year-old St. Lawrence Smoke & Gift Shop (SLS&GS), and the 10 year-old The Souvenir Market (TSM) shooting daggers with their eyes as they glare at each other across the walkway. I'll let you read my SLS&GS review (https://www.yelp.com/biz/st-lawrence-smoke-and-gift-shop-toronto) to find what's going on over there. As for TSM, there's plenty of cool stuff. IMHO, they win over the Smoke Shop when it comes to maple quality and selection. You'll find maple syrup, maple cookies, maple candies, maple butter, maple chocolate, and maple coffee and tea, just to name the most prominent. I also put TSM on top when it comes to sports stuff ... you'll find a sturdy amount of reasonably priced Toronto Raptors and Blue Jays gear. They also best their cross-walkway rivals in things the Smoke Shop just doesn't have (or has so little of I missed it): TSM wins on RCMP (a.k.a. The "Mounties") stuff, post cards (expensive, but excellent quality), Anne of Green Gables (the famed Canadian novel character) items, and on international flags. When it comes to the standard Toronto- and Canada-adorned items, both stores do well with t-shirts, magnets, mugs, bags, sunglasses, bags, and the rest. There isn't a lot of crossover, though, making both stores must-sees for the souvenir hunter. With a straightforward name like "The Souvenir Market" you expect an abundance and variety of great stuff ... and, boy, TSM delivers!

Even if I may not find the perfect gift for a friend and family, it's a great shop to browse at as well. Definitely a great spot for some unique gifts for yourself or others! Staff are friendly and I've never had an issue with them. My shopping experience here is pleasant and I never feel rushed or pressured to buy anything.
