Very easy to get rental set up online. Have used them a couple times for renting out a property when we don't want to use it. Never had any issues with payment after rental and take care of everything. I don't even have to think about it! They take a commission for listing and managing the rental but it's comparable to other vacation rental companies out there and it's worth it since I don't have to be bothered by it. Only thing I wish they did have was a way to check the status of your listing (ie if it is rented and for how long) without having to email them directly and wait for a response. They are good about responding but it does take a day or two. read more

Scathing Airbnb Review (Policy-Safe) This booking was managed by TripForth, and the experience was unacceptable. Our group of 20 was scheduled to stay during the severe winter storm in Virginia in late January, when the state had declared a state of emergency and roads were widely reported as impassable. For safety reasons, we did not attempt the trip and never stepped foot in the property. Despite these extraordinary circumstances, TripForth refused to issue a refund or even offer a credit toward a future stay. As a result, we lost over $2,000 for two nights at a house we could not safely reach. While weather is uncontrollable, management's response was entirely within their control--and they chose to show zero flexibility, empathy, or consideration for guest safety. For a large family group, this was an extremely costly and frustrating experience. I strongly caution future guests: if anything goes wrong, do not expect reasonable communication or accommodation from this management company. read more

Stay away from TripForth and think twice before booking a stay in the Massanutten area. While staying at a vacation home, I left for a few rounds of golf. When I returned, I found a copy of the 1939 Hardy Boys book The Twisted Claw lying in the driveway. This edition contains racist language and stereotypes that many people find deeply offensive, and as someone with an interracial family and two young children, finding it on the property was extremely disturbing. I immediately contacted TripForth and asked them to help me get in touch with the property owner so the Ring camera footage could be reviewed to determine how the book ended up in the driveway. TripForth refused to provide the owner's contact information or facilitate direct communication. I also requested a refund so my family could relocate to a property where we felt more comfortable, but that request was denied. To make matters worse, there doesn't appear to be a way to speak directly with TripForth customer service. Every call I made was handled through a relay or messaging service, making it impossible to have a direct conversation with someone who could address my concerns or make decisions. The lack of accessible customer support only added to an already frustrating experience. Regardless of how the book got there, I was disappointed by TripForth's handling of the situation. I expected them to take my concerns seriously and work toward a reasonable resolution. Instead, I felt dismissed and left without options while traveling with my family. I will never use TripForth again to rent anything. The customer service SUCKS.... I contacted customer service on July 13th the day I left the rental townhouse, and did not get a call back until a week later; after I made three phone calls to them. When the Manager finally called me, I told her I would like to get some type of compensation, because I did not get a full three day stay and that we only got a half day on Saturday. The only The feed back I received from her was, we are sorry, but we only compensate it we booked you in the wrong unit. You will have to contact Massanutten resort to compensate you. Then the Rep goes on to say, Massanutten manager James said they will not compensate you because it was nature and not their doing. This is what happened. I rented property at Massanutten Resort at the Regal Vista Townhomes. We were there from July 11 thru July 13th, and paid close to $500.00 for those two nights stay. The property was nice, there were a few problems with one TV not working and the ice machine. Maintance was called out to fix the problems, but was unable to fixx it, so they brought out a bag of ice and pulled it in the machine. They stated they would come back, but never did. We arrived on Friday, our checkin was 5:00pm (half the day gone). On Saturday we had a chance to make the best of our time during the day. Later that night, we started watching tv, starting dinner, to unwind; while waiting for my daughter and family to arrive. Around 10:00 out of nowhere, the power went out. It flicker once, came back on and then again and completely went out. We could not each our dinner, because we could not see. We had to use what was left of our cellphone lights to see. We tried on our cellphones calling the front desk, the phone was busy all night. We then decided to go to bed, it was pitch dark and the power was not restored until 6:30 am the next morning. As a result of the power outage, my husband insulin was damage, I could not use my cpap machine, most of our food got spoiled, my grandson cried most of the night, because he is scared of the dark. I am very disappointed with TripForth and will make sure that anyone I know that goes to Massanutten or any other resort will never use them for rental services. read more

If you're considering TripForth for property management, RUN AWAY. I actually lost money by renting my property through TripForth! I'm not really a review person, but this has been such a horrible experience that I feel compelled to report this clown company, TripForth, which after costing me thousands of dollars had the guile to bill me for expenses I never approved and for services that never occurred. I am convinced TripForth's business model is to charge as many needless or otherwise hidden fees as possible; meanwhile, TripForth clearly prioritizes its more lucrative properties at Massanutten resort (I couldn't even find my listing on AirBnB). I'll try to list the numerous problems with TripForth as follows: - The marketing, numbers and sales pitch all seem very good, but when you drill down on the numbers, your margins are nowhere near what you think. The initial "deep clean," which was anything but deep: $700. The recurring cleaning fee: $240. There was a light snow. I don't have a driveway. Charged me $150 for snow removal. I assume that was for my deck? It really adds up. - Before I decided to eat the $1,000 to get out of my contract with TripForth, their dashboard showed me that I was netting $800 on about $2,100 gross. This is not feasible. When I cancelled, TripForth tacked on a bunch of charges and sent me a bill for $2,800. I will be fighting this. - My home is older, on a well and pump system. I was very clear that when there's a freeze, you need to run a drip on the faucets. TripForth's team didn't do this. After a big freeze, I get an email that a pipe had burst, and the cost to fix it will be $1,800 (not to mention the cost of it not being rented). The pump also wasn't working, they said. Estimates were in the thousands. I drove out to Shenandoah and replaced the pipes and hot water heater myself, for about $500. I was looking around for estimates on the pump when, without my permission, TripForth apparently just paid someone to do it. And guess what? Now they want me to pay for it. Cost? $1,275. Oh, also the bill they just sent me is charging $429 and $385 for "work order." (see photos) It's non-specific, but the $385 states "plumber hooked up tankless water heater." This did not occur. You know how I know? Because I hooked up the heater myself, and I have photos to prove it! Even if they had done this, that's a crazy fee to connect two pex lines to shark bite fittings. - You have to book your own home with TripForth if you want to use it. Fine, I thought. Problem is you have to pay TripForth the $240 cleaning fee each time you turn it over. The alternative is to clean it yourself and pay a $45 inspection fee. Just before I fired them, I opted for the latter on a short stay (to fix the plumbing). Without any discussion, I get an email from Tripforth claiming that the cleaning was not "up to standards" and I would be charged an additional $240. So $285 to stay in my own home to fix stuff caused by their failure. They claimed the linens weren't cleaned. I'm certain they were because, aware of the fees, I did not use the linens. I slept on the couch! The place was very clean. They just wanted more money. Because of that charge, I actually lost money on a four-night booking. - Electric service in Shenandoah Valley is quite pricey. No matter, according to TripForth. Their crew left my two mini split AC/heat pumps on full blast 24/7 when no one was there (see photos). - On the last day of this nightmare, at the end of the only remaining booking, I politely asked for confirmation that the place would be cleaned when they turned it over (since I had already paid for it). I asked when it would be available and got no answer. So I arrived at 5 p.m., assuming it would be done by then. When I arrived, a woman, the cleaner apparently, was sleeping on my couch. She and another person left later ... without taking the trash in the bins and debris on the deck. I wasn't shocked, since this was a recurring problem, to find a bunch of towels in the washer. Also, there were children's pants in the laundry room? Wouldn't have been a good look for guests. In conclusion, I strongly caution against working with TripForth. The person I just hired to take over the property confirmed to me that reputable cleaners and contractors refuse to work with them, too. I'll be lodging complaints wherever I can and anticipate fighting their bogus bills in small claims court. read more

Long Story: TripForth advertises "Planning made easy" & "Plan to travel memorably" - What a joke! I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the handling of my cancellation request due to illness. The responses I received from TripForth were not only unhelpful but also highlighted a predatory policy that prioritizes corporate profit and short term vision over customer obsession and long term flourishing business. Their policy states that cancellations due to illness are only permitted if made 14 days (condo) or 30 days (house) in advance or with travel insurance--an unreasonable expectation that shows a complete lack of empathy. Who can predict illness 14 or 30 days in advance? In 2025, it's shocking that such rigid rules exist, especially when most accommodations don't require travel insurance. One sure thing - this is not "planning made easy," as advertised. The communication with the team was only frustrating and mostly one-sided. All I heard was about not having travel insurance (which I don't believe would have saved me time or effort--it's a whole other process of its own!) and received NO solutions to my situation. Copy/paste usual text emails and not a dime back - must be easy to write a sentence or two when you get $hundreds for not offering the service at all! I feel powerless as a customer, left with little recourse other than leaving a review to raise awareness so that others don't waste their time, energy, health, and money dealing with TripForth. It feels like a relic from the '70s rather than a modern customer service experience. I will be avoiding TripForth in the future and advising friends and family to do the same. TripForth, enjoy the $666 gained from your inflexible policies--no refunds, no postponing, no credits toward future visits, and no first-night penalty. Your business practices reflect a short-sighted approach to customer relations and needs. I urge you to reconsider your terms and conditions to prioritize customer support in this day and age! If we ever want to return to the Massanutten area, we will certainly avoid doing business with TripForth. Reserving with the resort directly, Expedia, or Airbnb are far better options! read more

We had such a wonderful experience at this beautifully appointed home. It has luxury amenities, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is a smaller home, but does not lack in anything. We had an amazing Homecoming stay in Bridgewater, VA an adorable, newly renovated home/cottage. TripForth was checking in and communicating throughout our visit and answered any questions pretty much immediately. The cottage was clean, like new, and we were supplied with all amenities, such as trash bags, dishwasher pads, dish soap, coffee filters, coffee, snacks, oatmeal packets, cereal packets, a water filter for fridge, shampoo & body wash, fresh sheets & towels, and brand new washer and dryer. And there was even a bag of ice in the freezer for us! It was especially nice to have the comfortable deck furniture to enjoy for our morning coffee in the warm sun!! A perfect place for our girls Homecoming visit! Thank you so much!!!!! OH, and we really enjoyed sitting by the fireplace in the evenings with our wine. Thank you again for everything!! read more

Overall, we enjoyed our two-week stay at the Colony in VaB. The timeshare condo unit was fairly large and roomy with a breathtaking view of the VaB pier, waterfront and boardwalk, not to mention direct access to them. The second bedroom has two queen beds. It has all the furniture and kitchenware one would need for up to eight occupants (although the condo documents had a max occupancy of six). We found the dining room chairs very comfy. The two queen bed mattresses were comfortable, but the master's king was too firm for us (and too soft and high for us with included the mattress pad). Other quibbles that helped knock off a star - the huge sectional sofa and master bedroom lounge chairs were well dated and used. The time-share management provides only four small rolls of toilet paper and two detergent pods for the dishwasher and no detergent for the week, so bring your own. The paint color, tile, low-intensity lights and vintage dressers render the condo with a dark, almost dingy/dated look. There is only one parking space included, and a limited number of guests spaces are rented on a first-come, first-served basis on Saturdays. There is a lot across the street available for $20/night. Lastly, the unit is close to lots of good restaurants and gift shops. Highly recommend Jumping Shrimp next door and Oceans 14 a block away. read more

This is our first time renting from TripForth. The property we rented was really nice and the Massanutten resort has many things for the whole family to enjoy. We were able to communicate our concerns through text mostly, as during the weekend they have limited access. They were able to extend our stay without a problem. Only concern I had was the issue with the disposing of garbage of the house. When we got to the property the two trash bins were full to the max and smelled bad in the garage as a result of it. Maybe it was the previous renters but housekeeping should have taken care of that prior to new renters coming in. It's very time consuming to be taking the trash all the way up the hill to the end of the resort to dispose our trash. There should be a better system, like allowing the guests to dispose trash on the bins and have housekeeping take care of the trash transportation. Not everyone has a truck to take garbage up, especially when families come with little kids. Checkout time was at 10 am, maybe giving to 11 at least is better for families. Apart from that, the house was nice, at a nice resort and we enjoyed our time as a family. Thank you. read more

We booked a family trip with about 5 different villas being booked. First the prices changed drastically and they were unwilling to adjust for some of us. But for some they did. Some were told it was against policy, and that was a lie. Second upon checking into the mountain side villa I immediately noticed it was dusty and dirty. With visible insect and rodent traps. I mean layers of dust every where. Going into the bedrooms I was completely disgusted and immediately called the resort to see if our room could be switched out. Unfortunately they were booked but promised to send someone to clean the next morning. Unacceptable !!!!! So I had to drive to the nearest Walmart to buy cleaning supplies, towels and washcloths as well as bedding. Shouldn't all of that been supplied. Also the light was out coming down the numerous stairs leading to the unit and my mother slipped and fell. Told them the light was out and no one ever came to fix it. Then the next night when we came back to the unit after being gone all day we realize the locks don't work. After finally getting let in by a sleeping family member maintenance came the next day and let us know the locks don't work in the cold because they're old. I relayed all this to trip forth and nothing to date has been resolved. I WILL NEVER USE THEIR PLATFORM AGAIN. Do yourself a favor and book through air bnb they have better rates as well read more
