We have free transportation to doctors' appointments, hair appointments, DFW Airport, museums, concerts, lunch and dinner outings, and anywhere else we might want to go. We have an excellent exercise program sponsored by Cooper Clinic in Dallas, an indoor pool, and a fully outfitted gym. We have in-house concerts and lectures and many special social events. We have three dining venues, and the food is delicious. We are currently undergoing a "refresh" of our common areas to bring everything back to "like new." We would love for you to join us.

It makes a big difference. Not happy I had to argue about this to keep her here. Just so I can find her a better place. Although she rarely -- if ever -- uses the advertised amenities (free breakfast, transportation, classes/programs), her rent continues to rise and management has not offered any meaningful flexibility or alternative pricing despite being aware of her financial situation. This lack of consideration for residents on set incomes feels insensitive and places unnecessary stress on families trying to plan and budget. I hope Discovery Village will reconsider how amenity-based charges are applied and work more compassionately with long-term residents and their families to find fair solutions.

We see them weekly and there has never been any issues to report, other family members visit different days we have camera installed and everything goes like clockwork for us. I am here this morning and I saw the negative rating and just wanted to make sure this wasn't the case for everyone. Watching someone decline in health is hard it's even harder to make the time and effort to do it yourself in a pandemic. We are grateful for the staff and Legend Oaks for the care of our Family.

Care staff does not get along with each other which therefore the resident suffers. Our parent was a resident from May 2025- early 2026- Assisted living in which they never met her care plan needs she was paying for. $ 6500 monthly. We had to go multiple times weekly to take care of her needs. Neglect everywhere with multiple residents. We communicate with many other residents - same problems. Staff needs a lot more training on communication with dementia residents as well as general care. Multiple medication errors. Janae - med tech is very un-professional and does not know her job and the importance of understanding medications and what they are given for. Care staff very rude, no compassion with dementia residents. Atria turnover with executive director as well as nurse coordinator- multiple since last May 2025. Multiple EMS calls per week to facilty. Atria is grapevines #1 EMS call monthly. I could go on and on. My parent was very ill and hospitalized and never returned by our choice. Always do your homework on a facilty by pulling the state reports. Please don't waste your parent's money on this facilty.

The facility could/ should have notified me the family member that they were about to destroy his leftover medication , so that I could have saved him hundreds of dollars. Now that he is being discharged finally from the hospital I have to repurchase all his medication again. They should really consider rectifying this policy. I don't believe any new caretaker would know in advance that the medication would be destroyed so quickly.

The daily Mass was especially important to my parents. With it just down the hall without having to get in and out of a car, their spiritual life is more complete. Visiting is like visiting them in an apartment with the staff being accomodating and friendly. Knowing them by first names makes us comfortable that Mom and Dad have an extended family to help with their care. I recommend this facility to anyone considering retirement living or assisted living.

I finally got someone on the phone 5 days ago, and the representative, Hugo, told me that he needed to see if they had a therapist available to do my son's physical therapy. I called the number that Hugo gave me yesterday and left a voicemail after hearing nothing. No return call. I called the number that Hugo gave me again today and got no answer again. Thinking that I may have the wrong number, I went through the home health phone tree again. The person on the phone told me that Hugo as at lunch and everyone else in the PT department was really busy, so I couldn't speak with anyone. After this long, drawn out ordeal, I insisted that I speak with someone who finally told me that they found out 5 days ago that they did not have anyone to do my son's physical therapy. Did they call to let me know that no one could do the physical therapy 5 days ago? Nope. What an unprofessional, disorganized organization. I am dismayed that they are this lackadaisical about getting children the help they need, but I have noticed that the other online reviews are not very favorable either. What a shame! Our Cook Children's pediatrician is great.
