To Whom it may concern, I was a patient at City View Nursing…read moreand Rehabilitation Center for several weeks. And to be totally honest with you I hated it there, but I soon came to realize that it was not the staff it was just me being an ass and not familiar with City view surroundings. City View has a great rehabilitation service and very professional staff. I was very good taking care of. The nurses and doctors were there every time I needed them. All the staff were great, I would like to Thank a few People who were there for me 24/7 and treated me like I mattered. Thank You so much! Tess Sayon for being there by myside even when you had other things to do. You became my friend and someone i will never forget, Latonya Carr Breyuna Robbinson, Chazz Cross, these people were great and very personal, and they know how to treat you as a human I would also like to thank Jade in the physical therapy department for causing me so much pain, LOL But I believe it worked! So, what can say about Ben Carrillo? This man works harder then anyone I know, he is always looking out for you and your wellbeing and asking if you're ok. all the time. Ben goes above and beyond his normal duty as a nurse. This man will do most anything for one of his City View patients. Thanks to everyone for being so nice, and professional. A big Shout out to Admissions Director Christie Shockey and Taryn Springfield Receptionist For all there help you both keep the wheels turning! Now let's talk about the food they serve. This is a hated subject among the residents, 50 percent of the time, if not 75 percent of the time no one likes or eats the food that is served. I have watched as the residents return their trays and without eating anything but maybe the dessert. Come try it for yourself!!! I was fortunate enough to order out most of the time or I would have lost so much weight and became sick!!! Because I refused along with others not to eat what is being served. I'm not sure who decides what the residence have for their three meals, But I would bet whoever it wouldn't eat the food served here. Whoever you come watch a meal being served and a elderly man or women look at the food and with tears in their eyes try and stomach the food on the tray because there hungry and that's all there is. But as far as the nurses and everyone here there doing a great job with what they have to work with. Thank You for being there for me and the others. How could i forget this amazing woman Tracy AKA HOT SAUCE LADY One morning i ordered Breakfast Burritos and no hot sauce with the order, but Tracy in Physical Therapy came through She had some!!! Ok City View work on the food Quality for the elderly and i will recommend this facility. Word of mouth goes a long way. Now let's talk about this so-called drinking water. The water here for the patience taste bad, well it should because I find out the water for the patience's here is coming from the faucet in a room that is for other things not water for the sick. it was confirmed by a staff member I didn't get their name. The faucet has NO water Filter whatsoever, but I have seen several Water coolers throughout this facility, but I was told that they were for the staff members/employees. You would think at least one cooler per floor would be nice! Don't you think? once again this is not the nurses or the staff members on the floor this go's higher up people!! Let's get this problem fixed Let's do it for the elderly I believed they deserve at least that. The nurses and all the staff members are doing great, it was my pleasure getting to know each and every one of them staff I will honestly miss their company.

My mother stayed at Cityview for rehab for a few weeks recently. She is quite old and has Crohn's…read moredisease. The night before she left she had stomach issues and soiled her clothes badly. She was not discharged until the late afternoon the next day and when I went to get her belongings there was a clear plastic bag with those soiled clothes and feces still in the bag, they did not rinse them or wash them for us. I pointed this out and was told to leave those clothes so they would wash them and call me to pick them up. I never got a call from anyone and I called the director a few times over the next few weeks and she told me she would look into it and call me back. She has never called back at all. It makes me wonder what else happened when I wasn't there. This was very disappointing and I have never had this happen anywhere my mom has lived in assisted living or any other rehab facility. I would not recommend it to anyone.

I would like to express my utmost gratitude and satisfaction with the outstanding care provided by…read morethe Bethesda Gardens for my Mom. We found Bethesda Gardens when we were looking for respite care for my Mom while we were out of town. A few months later, she requested that she go live there full time, due to the friends she met, the activities and the great food. Post COVID, my wife and I had to go back into the office and she was missing the companionship. We started her out in assisted living and she was very independent; but as her needs progressed, Bethesda had options, including the all-inclusive apartments that made the her care affordable. Once her memory declined, we were able to move her to Memory Care within the same community. My Mom enjoyed the activities, especially bingo. Once she moved to Memory Care, the activities aligned with dementia and gave them structure throughout the day. The staff members, including the directors, nurses, med-techs and caregivers, displayed an unmatched level of compassion and dedication. It was evident that they genuinely care for the residents and prioritize their well-being. They establish genuine relationships and strive to meet the unique needs of each individual. The caregivers go above and beyond to ensure that my Mom receives personalized attention, support, and a sense of belonging. They not only assist in daily activities, but also provide emotional support and companionship. It is evident that they genuinely care for the residents as if they were their own family members. Furthermore, the level of communication and transparency between the staff and families is exemplary. This fosters trust and reassurance for families, knowing that their loved ones are in capable hands. They were with us to the very end and gave comfort to my Mom as she transitioned to Heaven. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this assisted living facility to anyone seeking a supportive and comfortable home for their loved ones. It has provided my Mom with a sense of independence, while also ensuring her safety and well-being. Thank you to the entire team for making my mom's golden years truly golden.

She…read morewas hospitalized for around 10 days got back and then fell again two weeks later and broke her hip, then was in Rehab for around three weeks. The only thing they do there is to feed them, and the food was not great. At times we found her nails to be dirty as if they had not bathed her, then she got lice. She never had lice in her entire 90 years. On top of that she just passed away a few days ago. I found her in the dining room slumped over in her wheelchair with snot coming out of her nose and they were not even paying attention. Two days before that she was fine. I had to bring it to the med tech's attention and asked her to get the nurse. The nurse came about 10 minutes later and acted like her condition was of no concern. When the hospice nurse came to check on her, she was running a fever and appeared to have an infection. Four days later she died. Had they paid closer attention to her condition we might have been able to save her. Additionally, since she was only there half the month, they have figured out a way to keep most of her fees for the month instead of refunding them as they should. Don't place your loved one there or you could end up with the same story we had.
