Another rather biased yet transparent review of a theatre company. By biased, I mean I attend this theatre and I have performed for them. Transparent so as to avoid accuasion of bias. Repeat.
Trinity Street Players started as a donation of a church member from First Baptist, where the theatre now sits on its second floor. The agreement was that the inheritance would fund a theatre that would produce quality works for the city of Austin, and never charge anyone a dime.
They do rely on the generosity of its donor, from the church, and from you.
With Zach now in the Broadway calibre price point, you are going to need to balance your theatre power with some cheaper venues. The trick is to get you a ticket before they are all gone. For every person who saw Blood Brothers, which I was a part of, I can recall another who told me shec old not get a ticket because the show was such a popular sell out.
So, this one is a no brainer. Connect with TSP, follow their shows, and reserve seats for each of them as soon as they are available. You will enjoy the space, the shows, and the price, expecially if you are frugal or spending $70 on a Zach ticket. read more
