Kind and courteous staff (director included!). The teachers (+ the Concordia student teachers who worked at the center as part of their "work-study" they told me) seemed to enjoy what they do & have a love of working w/ children in general. Throughout my observations /lesson plan implementation, the teachers (+ student teachers) spoke to the children in a kind, age-appropriate manner and did fun activities. The smaller class size didn't hurt either =more individual attention w/ the children; good number of hands to help out in the classroom! In addition to structured activities, it was nice to see the children have open play time as well. Going on campus walks with the children was also a treat for everyone. A very positive experience inside & out!

My…read more3 year old daughter told me on different occasions that her teacher hit her in her back, bottom, and leg. When filling out my paperwork with Carol she tried to guide me to lie about my wages for the YWCA child care program and she filled in information on my paperwork on her own without my consent. When I first filled out my paper work with Carol she said that there are cameras in her classes, but when I requested to look at the surveillance for any incidents my daughter was involved in Carol told me that the cameras are not in the classroom because there is an issue with her daycare LICENSE. She told me she groups 3yr old's with 6yr old's because "she can". She doesn't let you speak with the teacher during parent/teacher conferences. Carol tried to tell me that she doesn't call meetings "Parent/ teacher" conferences , but on her fraudulent website that's exactly what they're called. I tried to request another conference so that my child's father can be present and Carol terminated her enrollment a day before the conference. I never told her the accusations my daughter told me up until I had to pick up her things. The teacher not being present at the conference and then my daughter being practically kicked out was all the proof I needed that what my daughter said was true. My daughter also stated that she was placed in timeout with both arms up and one leg up facing a wall. My daughter being hit in her leg by the teacher was because she can't balance on one leg for no more than a few seconds. I was never given any written reports or calls for the children hitting my daughter that happened in the morning times which involved my daughter crying ,only verbal at the time of pick (3:30-4:00) . I asked my daughter on different days at random times in between conversations and my 3yr old story never changed. You never know the teachers REAL name or anyone's last name. I asked Carol to point out the pictures of the teachers that was in the class when incidents happened and she did, but when I picked up my daughter things, all of those pictures were removed from the BILL BOARD. Carol was not in the classroom at the time of these incidents and I was not able to speak with the staff that was. If you love your child I would not even look at this illegal centers way. If you decide to put your child in this CATHOLIC church/school then maybe your child need a new set of parents.

I am very happy with this school and recommend, another nice aspect is they will take a child who is under the state mandated 3 age based on birthday, which was the case with my daughter who just missed enrolling by a bit in the public preschool.

They continuously change the theme and entire layout of the day care to keep learning exciting. My kids have learned so much from them. At 2 and 4, they know many sight words, all letter names and sounds, and are starting to read beginner books. They can count, write their names, identify shapes, and even learned major organs and their functions! This is all on top of helping my children through growing pains, minor illnesses, and potty training. As a teacher myself, I can't sing their praises enough. I am so thankful we found My Home Learning Day Care.

It's been a…read morelittle over a month since my daughter has been going here and I am so glad I decided to bring her here. The staff is so friendly and treat my daughter as their own. Ms. Mercedes is truly the best with my daughter and my daughter goes straight to her in the morning with no problem. Also the pricing per week is very reasonable considering other daycares in the area. Very affordable, and great quality and wonderful employees. I am so glad I made the decision to bring my daughter here and I am actually surprised that no one has given them a review. An excellent school…read more Note: I am a St. Viator alum, class of 2001. I had an excellent education at this school, and would recommend it to everyone. Class sizes are somewhat small, and for the most part, the faculty is great. During my time as a student, I found the faculty to be very caring. They work hard to make sure every student excels. This is something I think helped to turn me around from an average student in Freshman year to a great student with a passion for learning in my Senior year. One thing to be aware of: this school has a mandatory drug testing policy for all students starting in Fall 2007.
