Ms. Patty and the staff are a great team, very communicative and truly care about every single kid. Honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. My son felt safe, he looked forward to going to school every day, he had fun, learned a lot, made the best of friends and grew so much. I highly recommended this school to anyone who is considering preschool for their little one. We knew we found our preschool when we were visiting onsite for the first time and Ms Patty had past students visiting her at the same time. Now our son plans to go back and see her to say hi and tell her all about his new school adventures. So grateful this school was a part of my sons journey. Thank you ESPA team!

They have excellent care, dedicated teachers, great programs, great communication. I think they go above and beyond for projects and themes and things that are just fun and extra for the kids. I appreciate the balance between a great daily routine and lots of outdoor play. I feel like my five-year-old is advanced, both socially and educationally thanks to El Segundo preschool, and is very set up for success entering TK kindergarten in this fall. I can't say enough great things about the teachers, especially Miss Patty, Ms Nyla, Miss Mayra.

What a gem of a preschool! So glad we found this school in 2015 and are sad we are wrapping up our…read moretime there. Ms. Josie, the director, has made such thoughtful and important changes to the school's facility to make it a safe, nurturing and engaging place for children. Many of her staff have worked there for years and their kindness and dedication to the children is so apparent. My children know they are loved. There is so much play space (indoor and out) and never a shortage of activities. From the garden yard to the bike yard to the playground to the reading nooks - there is always something to discover, lessons to learn and joy to find. My children learned so many important social skills - they've become confident and independent and remind me to eat my healthy food first (a saying during lunchtime at SJP). We are not Lutheran but appreciated that they teach love and acceptance and to celebrate differences. The classes are small, this is not a giant, impersonal daycare. We bonded with many of the families and feel like we're part of a true community. Tuition is reasonable and the hours are IDEAL for working parents.

Graduated class of 2008 & I've had some of the best memories/experiences at this school…read more I have watched this charter school grow since it's old location on Larch and 147th Street, right behind Leuzinger. What's great about this school is the number of students per class. It's small enough to get an amazing sense of community, to build relationships with students and teachers, and it's focus is on college prep and the environment! Every year there is an opportunity to attend a field trip that last a couple of days. Freshman go to Catalina Islands and get to snorkel, kayak, hike, sleep in cabins, and learn about plant and & animal life. Sophomores go to Joshua Tree where you can rock climb, explore caves, and maybe even see first snow. It's really cold! Make sure you bring warm clothes! Juniors go to the San Jacinto mountains and hike the Pacific Crest Trail. This trip involves carrying a 60lb bag, preparing your own meal, hiking, fetching your own water, an all-around outdoor experience. Very beautiful and rewarding experience! At the school, teachers care about the well-being of their students and success. They push their students to apply to 4-year universities (and I believe is a graduation requirement). Students from this school have been accepted all over: USC, UCLA, CSULB, CSULA, UCSD, UCSC, UCSB, etc! Inquire within ASAP! They are more than happy to open their doors to any student, even if they're not within the district! Your child might moan and complain but if they choose to get the most out of the school, the rewards and possibilities are endless. They will be at a greater advantage and be well-rounded individuals!

Kentwood felt like home the first time my husband and I toured when my son was 3. We joined for a follow up when he was 4 and enrolled happily for K commencing in 2020. School last year was *interesting* - online and a K parent... I had low expectations. Kentwood exceeded expectations. My son's teacher was excellent and I managed to meet some local families while remote. Everyone is SO nice! Moving to the 2021 school year - IN PERSON! We added a kid, now TK and 1st grade students on campus. Our teachers are wonderful (Dr Williamson us a legend! And Ms Lee is kind, genuine, caring and eager to help our children who have never been in school full time.). The campus is clean, great playgrounds and green space. We even have a literacy garden for the TK-K kids to spend free learning time outside. The highlight of Kentwood? Our amazing new principal - she's hands on, working to bring parents back on campus, safely given Covid restrictions. Ms Von Schreiber is a gift to our school community.
