I first chose this school because it was close to home and I felt it was a real preschool environment with amenities I thought were great. My daughter was exactly two years old when enrolled, and it was not long before I noticed a serious change in her behavior. She has always been very bright and verbal for her age and always came home displaying what she was doing at school through play.
Red flag 1: after a few weeks in school, I noticed my daughter was lining up her stuffed animals to pretend they were napping like they were in school. I watched her play and then realized she started screaming "put your head down and go to sleep now!!!" (Very adult language) to her toys. She also developed an obsession with pressing them down quite hard against the floor as if restraining their movement in a hostile manner. She was obviously imitating what she saw in school or was done to her, but was too young understand there was anything wrong with that. I am a teacher myself and know that going to a school to "complain" doesn't always work out to your favor. And the fact that my daughter was in this school all day while I was teaching worried me, so I went to have an amicable conversation . When I went to school to mention it, there is no principal. They will have you speak to one of the teachers that dismisses everything you say in defense of all other teachers. Very very defensive.
After this convo all of a sudden my daughter stopped playing with her toys this way............coincidence? I think not.
I went against my gut which I regret and let her stay enrolled hoping that they got the point and never did anything like that again. But then....
Red flag 2:
My daughter began coming home and slamming her toy chairs on the floor very very hard and with rage screaming "shut up and sit down right now!!!!!" " you are in time out!!!!!!!!!" "Don't you dare move!" . She developed an obsession with doing this to all of her toys. And was also becoming more and more aggressive. Again, went to school to mention this and was met by a defensive teacher that denied this happening in the school. She actually asked me if maybe my daughter was watching this on tv. Unbelievable......
Red flag 3:
Despite paying $1000 plus dollars monthly including aftercare, they will treat you like money is more important that your child. I accidentally forgot to play $50 after almost a whole school year of paying on time and the woman in the office was and is extremely rude. When I said good morning her response was that my child cannot be in school without the $60 . I said I was going to my car to get my checks and when I turn around, the woman followed me to my car stalking me to make sure I don't drive off bc my daughter, a two year old child, was in the premises. extremely disrespectful!!!!
Curriculum wise, you will never know what they are actually doing with the children. My daughter barely learned anything in that school except AGGRESSION. the only people I miss are the wonderful teachers in aftercare. And it's sad that they aren't there all day. I don't recommend this school to anyone. If you want a loving organized environment stay far far far far away. read more
