I want a place that my daughter was going to go to school where she can grow up with kids around her that feel like family. The school is kept extremely clean, they are very good at communicating, and I love the events they do for all the children. I highly recommend this school to anyone when they ask me. There will be no other place I would want my daughter to be!

The teachers are incredibly caring, attentive, and truly invested in his development. They truly understand toddlers and create a warm, nurturing environment where little ones feel safe, supported, and excited to explore. We've seen our little guy become more independent, confident, and curious every day, which has been so rewarding to watch. The Montessori approach is thoughtfully implemented, encouraging independence, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning. We've seen such amazing growth in our toddler. The school is also exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which gives us so much peace of mind. Everything feels organized, safe, and thoughtfully cared for. Communication with families is fantastic. We always feel informed, included, and supported, which makes a huge difference. The sense of community here is strong, and it really feels like an extension of our family. We're incredibly sad to be leaving as we're moving. It was honestly one of the hardest parts of our decision--Guidepost made it so difficult to go. That alone says so much about the impact it's had on our family. We're so grateful to have been part of this community and couldn't recommend it more highly!

Erika, Jessica, the lead guides in the classrooms, the floaters, and everyone we've interacted with have always left a positive impression on us. Our child is growing and learning so much from the guides at Guidepost. We've learned so much along the way about Montessori thanks to the team there, there are endless opportunities to meet other families and connect over events that happen every month, it has truly been a great experience for us. We were in a different school prior to Guidepost and I don't feel like it's even fair to compare the two. The care and thoughtfulness at Guidepost is different than anywhere else, the attention to details and how much our child has gained from Guidepost has been so impactful to watch. I'll also mention for any caregivers who have children with allergies or dietary restrictions - Guidepost is extremely thoughtful with our Vegan child. Whenever there are events, they go out of their way to tell us about them and make sure our child is included with a vegan option, they keep vegan treats when the class is having ice cream or cupcakes, the guides are constantly in contact with us about the snacks and substitutes that we can bring in, it's been a really wonderful experience compared to the last school we were in and we appreciate how thorough they have been with our family and always making sure our child is included.

Enrolling our two daughters at MLC has been one of the greatest parenting decisions we've made so…read morefar. My oldest daughter, now almost 5, started at MLC in the toddler room in 2020 and just graduated this month. She did not cry that first day--or any school day in the three wonderful years she has spent there. The school environment is small, nurturing, safe, and fun. The daily routine is soothing and consistent, as you'll see during many parent/teacher conferences, back to school nights, and classroom celebrations. True to the Montessori philosophy, the children are given a balance of both structure and developmentally appropriate freedom in the classroom that has allowed my daughter to thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. The academic curriculum is both supportive and challenging. Despite her summer birthday, my daughter is well prepared for Kindergarten. She has felt inspired by her teachers every single day, who have lovingly guided and celebrated her development in math and language. The director, who also teaches at the school, is incredibly warm, responsive, and professional, as are all the teachers at the school. The teachers here are masters of differentiated instruction and classroom management. They communicated with me about my daughter's progress every step of the way. My 2.5 year old recently joined MLC. Her teacher personally reached out to me throughout her first week to let me know how well she was adjusting. MLC is a treasure and we highly recommend the school

I had 2 kids in MCR, and both loved the school. Picking them up at the end of the day, I would hear…read morestories about all the exciting things they did: what they learned, what books they read, what song they practiced, what games they played outside with their friends, what art project they worked on after school and so forth. Our experienced teachers really knew kids' personalities, their likes an dislikes. They kept close track of their progress in each aspect of Montessori curriculum and customized learning for them when needed. The school is a very safe and nurturing place with talented staff (after-school program is one of the best I've seen) and rich traditions. By the way, their celebrations are simply amazing! They remain among our most precious memories from that time.

My son started going to Montessori Children's Room (MCR) at 19 months and we loved this school, and…read morehe seemed to as well. When he was about to turn three this past September, he moved into the 3, 4 and 5 year old class. That is when they noticed he had a hard time sitting still and focusing. He was about to age out of EI (Early Intervention) and start CPSE (Committee on Preschool Education), which would mean the therapists that were approved (Speech, SEIT and OT) could work with him in his classroom environment. However, MCR does NOT allow ANY therapists in this school to work with children who have been approved to receive it. So, we were left with no other choice, and had to scramble to find a new school in the middle of October of 2018. Not an easy task considering that most were already full by that point. Luckily we found a school that my son adores. It is a play based, loving and nurturing environment, that is so in tune with nature and outdoor play. I guess everything happens for a reason, and we were very fortunate to end up where we are now. MCR does wonderful things with the students, my son learned a lot in his time there. Their holiday show and graduation are amazing as well, along with their camp. That said, Montessori is not for every child, especially a child that requires therapy of any sort. What bothered me about our experience is how they didn't give me any feedback of his behavior in the baby class (NK) prior to moving up. We did have parent teacher conferences twice in the school year, but they never spoke about how he was disruptive, couldn't focus or sit still. Had I known this was going to be an issue, we could have looked for other schools before he started in the toddler class. The whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth, as we felt forced out of there in a way. In closing, I debated on whether or not to write a review about my experience with this school. However, I recently learned the same thing is happening with another child there, so I wanted to give other parents a heads up before you consider going to this school.
