This is in response to the comment made my Ms. Diana Evans on 3/21/2108,
My name is Eileen Deacetis and I was one of the teachers on duty when the incident you mentioned with your daughter being given turkey to eat during the school Thanksgiving celebration three years ago in 2015. Upon viewing your review, your statements on the schools behalf appear not to be very true in nature. The teachers are always well informed about any allergies, dietary needs, dietary needs because of religious obligations, medication being given at home etc. a child has, by using the written consent form and medical documentation forms as written documentation that is given to the school upon registration of the child. In your child's case however there was no documented note saying that your child cannot eat turkey. There was a dietary needs section in the written consent form and nothing was written as such mentioning that turkey or meat should not be given to the child. Mere verbal communication that you claim you made of such a dietary need didn't seem to be enough for this case unfortunately, and during our annual Thanksgiving celebration Violet helped herself to a piece of turkey that was served on the table.
Also the statements you made regarding the amount of children to teacher ratio is undeniably false, Mrs. Evans. There are attendance records of that specific day and I do not even recall watching over that many children, let alone ever during my time as a teacher at Little Minds. Nothing was told to the staff or director that a case was even filed with the state otherwise we would have been well informed about such an occurrence. I believe Little Minds Montessori offers an excellent montessori curriculum based child care program, and am not only saying that because I am a teacher there but because there are countless parent testimonials of alumni that have spent their whole pre school years at Little Minds Montessori, with their sibling following in their footsteps. Your child did have to be de rolled because of your behavior towards the school board as I recall, but that does not mean that such false statements should be made on the school itself. Anyways, would like to end it here. You have your view Ms. Evans, and we know we cannot change that no matter how much we tried to work with you to make things better and wish you and your family much luck in the future. read more
