They have safety measures in place, and it warms my heart to know my child is in such a trustworthy, fun, and safe environment. At over the rainbow family daycare they provide the perfect setting for kids to develop and grow. We really love the teachers--every single one of them treats the kids with so much love and care. Our daughter has developed so much, and it was the best decision we have made. Not only do they feed our child so we don't have to pack meals, but they also have great flexible pickup times. My child is bonding with teachers, making friends, and learning so much through quality activities. Highly recommend!

They were okay, but they felt really sterile, and my daughter would cry the whole way home. I started to feel really stressed and discouraged trying to find somewhere she would actually feel happy and cared for. After a lot of thought and prayer, I decided to look into an in-home daycare--and I'm so glad I did. We found Over the Rainbow Family Daycare, and it just felt right. It's close to our home, bilingual (which was important to us), and the reviews about Stephanie and Carmen were so kind. After meeting them, I understood why. They're also very professional and organized--they have a clear daycare handbook that helped set expectations and made me feel even more comfortable. This daycare feels like I'm dropping my kids off at a family member's house. All of the kids are so sweet and warm with each other. Carmen ( the main caregiver) is really communicative--she sends pictures, keeps me updated on how both of my girls are doing, and shares the highs and lows of their day. She's also brought a really good sense of structure into their lives. My toddler will come home with arts and crafts to hang, little goodies for the holidays and even birthday surprises and little parties thrown on their day. Every one of the kids I've met when picking up the girls is so eager to give eachother hugs when saying hello or goodbye, or even talking to me as a parent to share something about their day. What Carmen, Stephanie and even Margarita do here is much more special than any day care I've ever experienced. After just a few weeks, I saw such a difference in my toddler. She was talking more, learning to take turns, and showing more empathy than I expected at her age. When my toddler has acted out towards other kids ( as kids do), Carmen makes sure to communicate to me right away so my husband and I can help our daughter get on the right side of things. It was clear from the first day of starting at daycare that healthy behavior and kindness was a priority to Carmen to maintain a positive environment for all of the kids. I see it every day when my girl comes home from school smiling, laughing and telling me about the best part ( or sometimes worst parts) of the day. I also see Carmen's teaching style exude from my daughter when she sees other kids or cousins fighting. She'll often tell them " we have to be nice kids" and separates them nicely to cool things down. This really tickles me because I know that she picked that up from daycare . A year later, we had another baby, and going back to work with both a toddler and an infant felt overwhelming. Carmen and Stephanie really worked with us and helped my youngest adjust to the change of my return to work. That was insane and stressful in itself because my baby would not take a bottle and would scream and cry. Carmen, Margarita ( another employee at the daycare) and Stephanie have been patient with learning her cues and have communicated with me even throughout the day letting me know when the baby has taken the bottle, how much she drank or if she completely refused it and very importantly never forcing it when she doesn't want it. They've really played a large part in helping my baby adjust to being bottle fed in a short period of time, There are a million other great things I could say about Carmen, Stephanie, and Over the Rainbow Family Daycare, but the most important thing is that they are kind and generous people . They communicate when there are obvious issues that need our attention and collaborate with us more than expected of day care providers. They've shown our family so much grace, helped us through SO many tough adjustments, and have always kept a fun and safe space for my kids. They truly feel like family to us, I can't believe we were ever strangers and I feel very fortunate to have found them.

Our twins attended Grace Lutheran Preschool for the full school year. Up until the very end, our…read morefamily had a genuinely great experience with the school, primarily due to the wonderful classroom teaching staff who cared for our kids. Unfortunately, our transition out of the program was marred by a breakdown in communication from the institution. One week before summer school was scheduled to begin, we were abruptly informed that the school was recommending our kids not attend the summer program, and that their fall enrollment was being questioned due to classroom-readiness criteria. As parents, the situation was disappointing. We received enrollment, billing, and promotional materials for summer school and the next preschool level all year long. To be notified of major concerns just days before the summer session started left our family in an incredibly difficult position, with leadership acknowledging after the fact that a spring evaluation should have been provided to keep us in the loop. Ultimately, the school's breakdown in communication broke our trust in how the program is managed, and our children will not be returning to GLC. If you are a parent looking at this program, the individual teachers are fantastic and provide a warm environment. However, be aware that you may need to be incredibly proactive in demanding written evaluations and regular check-ins with administration to ensure you and the leadership are on the same page.

Mrs. O'Neal's Kindergarten preparation with the kids is unparalleled, as she strives to have your child meet Kindergarten requirements before leaving her classroom. I was super open about that fact I did not know how this would go since she's only been with me, ever. We got enrolled and it all went to shit from there: my daughter went to one day for 4 hours and never wanted to return. I am not saying something happened there to make her not return. She just wasn't ready to be away from me for that long. We paid Patty $315 to start. What I believe is $75 registration fee and two weeks of care. My daughter went 1 day for 4 hours. The next day she was supposed to go apparently she was "too late to attend." I decided then that this was not right for us. But this one-day-a-week school really changed the way I am as a parent. This is my second year at the co-op, since I signed up my 1 year old. My daughter's love the sensory table-it changes often; cornmeal, rice, dry pasta, water, potato flakes, lentils, oatmeal, and more. The toys around the classroom are constantly rotated and every single toy has a specific purpose-nothing was picked up from Toys-R-Us because it looked pretty or was on sale. There is a lot of thought behind every detail. What motor skills are they using and what are they learning. The teachers are so lovely and sweet. The epitome of preschool teachers, seriously. I liked having the parent educators, because I constantly had questions about how to handle my rambunctious daughter. Parents don't go and simply sit and chat, but are led in discussions with your child and their age in mind, so it's all directed towards you being able to apply it now. This isn't a traditional sit-down-and-learn-letters sort of preschool. Midland really emphasizes the importance of play. As a parent, you learn the importance of play too, and how much children are actually learning while playing, which I was completely unaware of. My only regret is not starting this program with my first daughter when she was 1 years old.

My son cole loves his teacher. I was able to attend a class and saw how he interacted with the other children and the teacher, and could tell he was in great hands. Midland follows a fairly similar schedule. Free play time to start, then the parents go and have their 'education' while the kids and the teacher play and work on activities. After this it is time to clean up and have a snack. Finally there circle time for songs. This is a wonderful space and with such caring and attention by the teachers and staff, it really feels great knowing there are places like this out there. As a parent however, there are expectations that you help out during the classrooms and on various boards and committees. Cooperatives offer a less costly alternative compared to non-cooperative pre schools where the costs are higher, but there is less parent involvement.
