Hired Trinity Irrigation to install sprinkler system in my yard. They completed the job and all was fine....until my septic company performed their bi-annual pumping. They found the septic DBOX and septic TANK were damaged by what they called a heavy machine that penetrated the earth (just like the machine Trinity used to install the water lines). No other contractor or machine has been on my lawn since the irrigation system was installed except for a lawn mower. Yes, I had to replace both the DBOX and TANK at a cost of $12,000. I sued the company and was paid in full for the damage they caused. read more

i had a leak in my irrigation system. i called trinity. they came out twice. randomly started to dig holes in my back yard. between the two visits they charged my for Five+ hours of work. never found the leak, left big boulders from where they were digging. i finally had to call another company. they came out with some type of machine. found where the leak was in less than 10 minutes. fixed it in less than 20 minutes. they charged me for one hour. trinity called back and asked if i wanted them to come out and keep looking for the leak. i am sure they would have loved to come out once a week and charge me 2.5 hours of labor to dig holes in my back yard. We have used Trinity Irrigation for several years. A year ago, when opening our system for the season, the technician found a leak where the system connected to the house. He told us that it was not winterized properly. When we contacted Trinity they denied any culpability. They claimed we must have done something to create the leak. We did not. I believe you need a screwdriver to operate the water flow. We do not know anything about the water flow or the operation of the system and we definitely would not have taken a screwdriver to it! They have avoided us since that time. We are extremely disappointed. The repair/part replacement would cost several hundred dollars. read more

Trinity installed my irrigation system last year. The experience itself was ok however they installed the sprinkler heads a little too far outward on one side of the property thus this year I wanted to have them correct this. It is now September and I had called them numerous times since the season began to schedule someone to come out and not only correct the location of the sprinkler heads but also to turn on my system for the season. At one point I was scheduled, then they cancelled on me due to the time needed to handle both the sprinkler heads and turning on the system for the season. I was told someone would get back to me. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but I gave up on them and switched my business over to a different company. It should not be this difficult to turn on a system and ask for a couple of heads to be moved. Had I not reached out to this other company, I would still be sitting here with no follow up from Trinity, and my system still shut off with the winterization phase right around the corner. I'm sorry but this is simple neglect of your customers, and what it shows about how they look at newer customers to help make things right. read more

I had them do a full system for the house that has six zones, one controller and roughly 40 heads. They also did some ground lighting repair and installed four new heads. The quality of the work was excellent, and they were a delight to work with. There were a few issues regarding my electrical service, pluming rough and town inspections - none of which were their doing - and all of which they addressed and fixed on the spot without having to schedule an extra appointment. It was a relief to have a contractor who is able to "take care" of stuff so that the project gets done on schedule. Also extremely courteous and efficient in scheduling and communication. Overall, I highly recommend Trinity. read more

We had Trinity open our irrigation system this year. When they did they did not activate (or test) one of our zones. This is a zone that has always worked without issue. We called them back and expected to find a real problem. Instead we found that a wire going to our panel was loose and needed to be pushed back into place, a 15 second repair. Its our opinion that they should have checked the system when they opened it and detected this problem initially. Moreover, they should have noticed that the zone wasn't working and at the very least discussed it with us when they opened the system. Instead of doing the right thing and owning the fact that they were negligent when they opened our system (which cause dour lawn to go brown too), they insist that we pay their bill. The bill was $125.00 but was reduced by $40.00 when we complained. They then added a $15.00 late fee to the bill bringing the total back up to $100.00 for no more than 15 seconds worth of work! We feel like we were scammed. Trinity Irrigation did not properly check our system when they opened it. We detected an issue that they should have resolved at opening. Our lawn turned brown as a result. Now they are forcing us to pay a $100.00 bill for 15 seconds worth of work? As if this wasn't enough. The technician that came to the house was not particularly kind to my wife. She said that she felt as if he was trying to pull one over on her by telling her that we should do additional repairs, etc. When I stepped out to talk to him she said his entire attitude changed. So yes, we will pay the bill because we don't want Trinity Irrigation to report us to a collection agency. But, we will also spread the word to everyone we know. i am an established customer and when I recently scheduled the spring startup appointment, I explained that I wanted to speak with a technician in advance to explain my repair requests. I didn't receive a call and when I called on the day of the appointment after waiting for 2 hrs for the technician to show up, the manager was rude to me. Trinity has provided service on 2 occasions for winterization and fixing of a broken zone solenoid. I have been very happy with their service, responsiveness, and efficiency. They were helpful in answering any questions I had. Money well spent! read more

Beware of "hidden fees". Have worked with Trinity since I purchased my home as they worked with the previous home owner as well. Crews are courteous and knowledgeable, but you have to make sure you always ask for how/what they are going to charge you for. Recent example, i asked a crew that was already doing work to check on 2 landscape bulbs that were no longer working. They said sure and came out a couple days later to check on them. When the crew asked if i wanted bulbs changed, i said "sure, how much?". They said "about $20 each". All was good until i got the bill...more than $400! The explanation was that the truck/ladder used was expensive. Would have been nice to know ahead of time. If anyone had told me in advance, honestly would have asked for more to be done to make it worth it. 2 stars...since they did make a reduction, but $225 for 2 bulbs is still steep and they missed a real opportunity to make a loyal customer. read more

Just finished inside renovation and this is my second phase of the project outside of home - garden. First, requested 3 companies for estimates. Trinity's was the best of all for speedy, detail itemized list and thorough explanation of each step along the way. They educated me what involves in each project while responded to my frequent requests for change during planning process with ease of mind (prior to starting the project). I am very satisfied with the well-functioning sprinkler and lawn renovation, which is more than I can envision with my limited knowledge of options. We have been using Trinity for over 15 years now for irrigation system maintenance. They also installed our system when we first moved in and greatly expanded it when we re-landscaped. Through all this time, we have never considered switching to another company because they are responsive, helpful, and do great work. Trinity installed our irrigation system a number of years ago..we had tried to use them for service ongoing but they seem to come into Newton only rarely thus were never quick with repairs, and one year couldn't find time to blow out our system for the winter..which left us high and (not) dry. The company we had been using after them this year announced no more irrigation work, and I returned to Trinity with a break-fix call about some leakage from one zone whenever any other zone was run--basically making the water pressure so low the entire system wasn't usable . I could only get an appointment over three weeks out in mid-May...good thing we had a rainy season, eh? The worker came on time and spent about 40 min here, finding a broken zone valve and explaining about some low pressure causes, then another few minutes writing up an invoice. Imagine my surprise when the labour was charged at $180 an hour according to the line on the invoice!. This past week I paid a licensed master plumber (years being apprenticed, then journeyman and also state licensed exam) who owns his own business $135/hour, and a licensed master electrician (also owner of his own business) $155/hour. I called into Trinity and to their credit 10% was knocked off my bill, but I was firmly told their people take irrigation tests too. Well, that as may be but they are not state licensed, nor do they work with electricity, gas or steam which have significant dangers to them and carry health/safety risks for the work done (In fact if you get an irrigation system installed you have to a licensed plumber anyway do the backflow valve). Not clear at all to me why I would have to pay so much more to work with sprinklers, and certainly never paid even half that amount per hour with our previous company. Ongoing I'll look for another place to use for support...when I need a break/fix response I'm not waiting 3+ weeks again, nor am I paying so much per hour for that level of service. read more

I have used trinity now for over 10 years. I really have nothing negative to say about them. Every technician that has come to my house has been respectful, knowledgeable and expedient. They have always shown great care not to give me cause to worry. It's almost as if they are family, although I trust them more than I trust some of my family. in short, I will continue to use Trinity for all of my irrigation needs. I wish I could give this company a 5 star rating and I probably would if it wasn't for the woman who answers the phone at their Natick location, Jennifer. She was extremely rude, short and unprofessional after talking with her on three separate occasions to discuss scheduling and why my bill was $10.00 more than it was in 2013. She acted as if I was putting her out by having to answer my questions and I got the sense that she clearly doesn't have any interest in keeping my business. I don't generally write negative reviews unless I feel I was treated unfairly and in this instance, I was. The staff that does the actual irrigation was very friendly, professional and punctual and they did a good job. After calling and asking why we didn't receive the "repeat customer discount" she claimed they don't offer one, but the gentleman who did our irrigation last year gave us a discount. I think it's acceptable to see price increases over time, but she shouldn't deny ever having given a discount. read more

This company does not deserve to be in business. They came to my house last year to blow out the water for my irrigation system. They jumped all the wires so that they did not have to spend more than 5 minutes at my house. They burned out my controller and they gave me a hard time about replacing it. After much aggravation they replaced it with another unit which did not work. They are a very shady company and I would not recommend using them at all. read more

I have been a customer of this company for over ten years. This season, when I called to set up my annual Spring system opening, I was given an appointment a couple of weeks out. A couple of days before the apoointment they called and said they needed to change the appointment to three days later and that they would call the day before to give a "window" of time for when they would be coming- their standard procedure. We didn't receive a call with that information the day before, so we called them. At which point we were told they werent EVER coming because they no longer serviced the area where I lived?????????????? Really? I live in West Roxbury on the Newton/Brookline line and they confirmed they serviced those areas. That being said, if their business model no longer can sustain servicing a long-standing customer, why wasn't I told that when I initially called? That way, I could have put my energies into hiring another company. Also, these people are such inconsiderate jerks that they couldnt even be bothered to give me the courtesy of communicating this to us-- they just intended not to call and not to show up. The owner's name is Kim. I promised her assistant that I would make sure I memorialized my experience on the internet. I guess it's no real surprise that they no longer have sufficient customers in this area to justify continuing doing business here. With the disreputable business ethics of the current ownership, I suspect it will be an irrevocable trend....as a prior reviewer so aptly concluded, "this company does not deserve to be in business." read more

After disappointing and pricey service from a couple of the "established" sprinkler repair companies, I was fortunate to find Trinity Irrigation. The technician came on time, was very friendly, and worked hard until the job was done. The technician performed all repairs that we requested, and also recommended upgrading my controller to a new one that I can use on my phone and that would allow better coverage and less water usage, and was able to replace it the same day! The work was done quickly and without any surprises. More important than price is the based on quality of the work performed and received. The technician saw a couple of issues that needed addressing and fixed them without additional expense. Trinity Irrigation team clearly cares about giving customer great results.
