They are more concerned with being on their phones and playing music while the children run around crazy and unengaged. The music in the room was so loud early in the morning I couldn't hear myself think. There is no way a child can calm down or communicate with other children with music this loud. They love sending children to the office for punishment and have no problem calling the parent while at work to pick their child up early for normal toddler tantrums and behavior. They called me every week for the 3 weeks my 2 yo was enrolled. Instead of trying to find a solution for the issue at hand they simply send the kids home and could care less because after all they are already paid. I was absolutely disappointed with this daycare. They are over priced and im seriously confused how they are accredited with anyone. My son has since started a new daycare, tuition is 100$ cheaper per week might I add, with competent child care providers and we have had no issues what so ever thus far.

I would NEVER send my child to this facility while it is employing some of the current staff. When…read morewe first enrolled our child in the Spring of 2014, we were very happy with the center, but almost immediately, the staff began to be replaced and everything went drastically downhill from there. My husband and I were met with horrible attitudes from the teachers of our child's class and upon observation, I witnessed the teachers just sitting at the table yelling at the children to solve disputes instead of interacting for a resolution. This Center needs to be investigated by the district managers. The kids in this class were clearly disruptive and unhappy.

We had some concerns related to this location after reviews surfaced online of abuse allegations at…read moreanother Lexington Kindercare, as well as allegations that the director at that location was aware of said abuse and was moved to the Wilhite Kindercare location. It was the day before my son started that we received notification that said director was resigning for "personal reasons." Take that as you will. As far as our personal experience, we did drop off and were able to take my infant son to his room (this is not the normal Covid policy: they wanted us to drop him at the door). When I walked in, there were two babies at the entrance of the room: one lying on the floor (not in a boppy or on a blanket, but on the floor), with an older child sitting up beside her, looking down over her, with snot running out both sides of his nose. I made a comment about the snot to both the director and the worker, the latter of whom was sitting across the room. It was the director that finally wiped the snot off as my husband and I looked horrified. We left, feeling like this was not a good fit for us, based on the the combination of abuse allegations and level of engagement (or lack thereof) of staff with the children. I returned at 1200 to pick up my son. I explained my concerns to the Asst. Director, who was apologetic, and waited for her to retrieve my son and his things. We were pulling him completely from the daycare. As I waited, the training she'd been completing on her laptop was still playing--and it was a recording, I believe, of a person talking to (I'm assuming) a group of Asst. Directors and Directors about "how to get more children in the door without having to hire more staff." This, I feel, sums up the mission of Kindercare. It showed in our experience. Again, we will not be returning.

The team doesn't have uniforms and even one person had house shoes on. They didn't seem to expect me or have any of my information that I spent time giving over the phone when setting up the tour. So I spent time telling them it all again . I will say if you are looking for friendly , they were extremely friendly. But cleanliness no..other than the extreme cleaning supply smell. Infants at 11 to 2 ratio. (11 babies ,2 teachers) When I was told they generally do a 4 to 1 . The directors came and grabbed one of the workers babies out of the room to keep it to 5 to 1 state requirements. Then the worker is walking around saying where'd my baby go ? , someone says oh I think Pam has her .......... ( I guess she didn't gather why she had taken the baby out of the room) one of the infant teachers didn't speak much English, and the other was English speaking but very poor English skills . Which I would imagine hard for developing infants learning to speak. The friendly teachers kept coming up and touching my baby without considering they were just handling all the other kids and my baby had not been exposed to daycare germs. I mean germs were not a concern here. Walking around with shoes on all over where babies crawl, dirty spoons from feeding etc. The babies are just laying around in boppies. Anyway the corporate training allows this center to speak a good game but the reality is that it is just not up to standard. I mean if you just want someone to make sure your kid stays alive and fed while you are at work, this will do. I know the team is a friendly caring team, just could use a little upgrade. Needless to say I will not be sending my kids nor recommending this to anyone I know !

They both have autism and need extra attention and at first they did just that. Well after a while things started to go down hill. I will skip a lot of the bad stuff straight to the worst. My wife showed up about a hour ahead of the time she usually does to pick up her youngest. Well she walks back to his classroom and nobody is in there. She continued to walk around and finally found his teacher and asked where he was. The teacher just gave her this crazy look like what you don't have him... The teacher begins to yell for him and nothing. They run room to room looking for him and can't find him anywhere. My wife then walks to the back door that leads to the playground and sees her son plain on the slide all by himself..... They had no idea he was out there. He was 3 years old at the time and couldn't talk yet and they left him on the playground. Thank god it was only 98° out that day, ya know wouldn't want him to have a heatstroke or nothing... I highly recommend looking for another daycare. I mean this isn't the only thing that happened while her kids where there. It seemed like something happened everyday. My wife was making 73k+ a year at that time and quit her job to stay home with the boys because she was scared of day cars less because of this place.
