This testing center has perfected Covid check-in procedures. Initially, I was very anxious about…read morehaving to come here because I haven't spent many hours outside of my home due to quarantine. Further, I was also stressed about taking the test. After watching the others check-in for the test from a socially distanced line, I was assured that every precaution would be followed. Upon checking in, I was asked to provide identification, sign an agreement, had my glasses examined, placed all of my personal affects in a locker, and given a locker key and pen. Although I brought a copy of my test confirmation that was not needed. Before entering the testing area, I was asked to empty my pockets, pull up my pants legs, and take an electronic photo. I signed another agreement and then entered the testing area in a room with other testers. Everyone was socially distanced and separated by desk carrels. The testing area was heavily monitored and each tester was provided with a noise cancelling headset and headphones. My only complaint was that the restroom was really outdated. One stall was inoperable and the only working stall had little to no room to maneuver.

I enjoy the variety of exhibits they bring in and how they tend to showcase local artists. I believe there is artist space upstairs that I assume can be rented but I'm not sure of that. Most recently I brought my boys ages 7&8 for leaf printing. They had a lot of fun making the prints and coloring stamps. They had a great time. After we wandered over to the small park to the side of the house and they played on the jungle gym equipment. Further up the hill on the same grounds is the Castlewood pool and a splash pad for those hot days. Definitely worth checking out.

They also have free coffee, tea and soda for you to enjoy and take into the service. I attended 11am service which started off with band singing few worship songs, then went right into the message which is delivered via video from Crossroads main location in Cincinnati and then wrapped up with local pastor giving updates on local happenings with the church. After the service attendees went back into the atrium and on their way to enjoy the rest of the day. The parish moved to its current site on May 12, 1946. Christ the King School was opened in 1951 and the Sisters of Divine Providence were the initial teachers. The present church and rectory was built in the Modern architectural style from 1965-1967 for $1.5 million. On January 14, 1988 Blessed John Paul II established the Diocese of Lexington and Christ the King became the cathedral for the new diocese. The Cathedral Center was added to the parish facilities in 1992.
