I had my wedding reception there and couldn't have been happier. Our ceremony was in the chapel in Old Morrison (part of Transy's campus) right across the street, which was perfect. Their rental coordinator was so helpful and easy to work with for our year of planning, even during a pandemic. They provided all the info we needed up front and stayed in touch as we planned from afar. They set up all the furniture perfectly and we're quick to send our security deposit back afterwards. Since events aren't their main focus, nothing "comes with" this rental like food, planning staff, etc., but we were able to pick exactly what we wanted for other venues so that was fine with us. We had 75 guests which felt like a great fit in the ballroom for dinner, but you could definitely fit more people in there if you needed.

At this time, the upper floor has a wonderful photographic exhibit of Americas roadside attractions. If you go into the reading room to the right of the entrance, there are shelves with free books. You may choose one to take home with you. An interesting tidbit -- the Carnegie gives a book to every child born at Baptist Hospital to start them off on the road to reading.

The subject matter if this talk-was critical race theory, and complaining about how some of her friends have been fired for teaching it in schools. My son felt uncomfortable, and felt that he was partially not getting attention from his tutor because he was white. He went there for help with science. Not to listen to a lecture about critical race theory/politics.

This testing center has perfected Covid check-in procedures. Initially, I was very anxious about…read morehaving to come here because I haven't spent many hours outside of my home due to quarantine. Further, I was also stressed about taking the test. After watching the others check-in for the test from a socially distanced line, I was assured that every precaution would be followed. Upon checking in, I was asked to provide identification, sign an agreement, had my glasses examined, placed all of my personal affects in a locker, and given a locker key and pen. Although I brought a copy of my test confirmation that was not needed. Before entering the testing area, I was asked to empty my pockets, pull up my pants legs, and take an electronic photo. I signed another agreement and then entered the testing area in a room with other testers. Everyone was socially distanced and separated by desk carrels. The testing area was heavily monitored and each tester was provided with a noise cancelling headset and headphones. My only complaint was that the restroom was really outdated. One stall was inoperable and the only working stall had little to no room to maneuver.
